Have visited this site on many occasions. Great location, near many tourist attractions and the sea. The tent field has a slight slope but not enough to cause any problems. Have always found the owners friendly and helpful. The shower rooms are second to none. Individual rooms that incorporate a toilet, sink and powerful shower. There' s a small pub/restaurant on site but having never used it I can't really comment but it does seem popular. Meat can be ordered from the butchers and delivered the next day. The general feel of the site is peace and relaxation. There's also a good area to walk dogs. Can't wait to get back in 2006

This is our second visit to Binghams this year and its a really nice, quiet, spotless site. The pitches were a generous size as said in the other reviews. The toilets are the best that we have seen so far and there are separate cubicles with your own toilet, shower and sink. The site has its own bar and provides meals most nights which are very good value for money. There are a few good walks from the site to a couple of really nice country pubs across fields with public footpaths. If you go to the Pymore pub watch out for the grumpy brown bull that stares at you and the electric wire that the farmer has put around his field-its a really nice walk so don't be put off. The other pub is called the Hare + Hounds and is gorgeous it was highly recommended by the friendly staff at Binghams. In all this site is excellent and we will definitely return again.

July 2005 Just returned from a week at Binghams Farm. Excellent site and we endorse all the best points of the other reviews. It is an adults only site and is wonderfully quiet (Our kids are in their 20's so it was just me and Mrs W. !) Nice Bar Restaurant. Only about 10 mins from the glorious beach and harbour (New) at West Bay with it's magnificent cliff. Bridport is right next to West Bay and is nice little town with decent shops etc. We had glorious weather. There is a "Family" site right by the harbour in West Bay, but we went before the school hols so the bay was not "Mobbed" We will definitely be returning to Binghams.

June 2005 We are new to camping and chose Binghams Farm because it was quiet and in the right spot for us. We were extrememly surprised at the excellent facilities. Toilet / shower / dish washing facilities are all top notch and immaculately clean and what a beautiful location to boot. The tent field was like being on a nature reserve, with Rabbits, Quail (I think) and all sorts of furry friends to keep you company. The pitches are very generously sized and there are not too many of them and the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. An excellent touring base, definitely going back!!!

May 2005 We have just returned from 7 glorious days down at Binghams, the staff are all friendly and extremely helpful. The site itself is spotless and the toilets / showers are equally spotless. Most of the pitches are hard standing seperated by a strip of grass which was ideal for the BBQ and sitting out on, there are fantastic walks from the site, all in all this is a lovely Adults only site so if you are looking for a quiet relaxing time you can't go wrong here!

May 2005 Excellent site, very friendy, toilets and showers are spotless. Very well laid out and each one has its own space tucked away. Dog walk around the site keep lovely, grass cut every other day. Beautiful walks leading off from site. Supermarkets only a few minutes drive away. This site is a must if you want peace and quiet, as it is adults only. We will go back again

March 2005 We just had Easter at Binghams Farm and we had a a really nice time. All the facilities are first class and being a newby to caravaning I could not have been helped more than I was by the owners and the warden and his wife. There are some lovely walks there with beautiful countryside. We had some lovely meals in the restaurant they where delicious. All in all was a great six days we had, and we will be back later in the year.

August 2004 We endorse other Caravanners comments. This is a beautiful site, ADULTS ONLY. It was wonderful to be able to relax with like minded people, away from bicycles and balls. Lovely showers, electric hook-ups and water within close promity for all. Good approach road. Butcher visits site most days. My wife says the gardener can come and cut our lawn any time!!

July 2004 Just returned from a long weekend at Bingham Farm. This is a lovely site in a great location ideal for those who like to walk. The site is adults only, which leads to a quiet and relaxed feel. The caravans and canvas are catered for in different areas so the canvas field has a nice openness to it with lovely views across the valley.
The shower facilities are great, beautifully clean and comfortable with private bathrooms with showers, toilet and sink and plenty of room to manoeuvre.
The owners are very friendly and offer plenty of information for local amenities , worth checking out is their list of restaurants with their reviews spot on. We tried the New Inn at Stoke Abbott which has a very pretty garden and good food, and the Anchor Inn at Seatown is welcome after climbing Golden Cap, the highest point on the South coast that is surprisingly achievable, well worth a visit. There is a bar and restaurant on site that offers good food at a good price and particularly welcome if you choose to walk from the site and return and don’t want to drive to a restaurant in the evening or cook up your beans.
The site is great for dog owners with lovely lawned avenues for early morning & late night visits close at hand. The really great thing about this site however is the fact that you can simply walk for miles along well signed tracks through the gorgeous Brit Valley direct from the site. Some stunning scenery and plenty of wildlife to admire , this made it a definite site to return to in the future for us.
The area itself offers plenty to see and do without perhaps being over touristy. The nearby Bridport has plenty of shops and the beach of tiny shingle was not overcrowded . Dogs are allowed on the beach under the stunning yellow cliffs. Look out for Abbotsbury, very pretty and check out Hardy’s monument which has lovely walks all around it including a beautiful wood. Will definitely go back as there was so much more to explore.
All in all a great weekend. Don

August 2003 Just returned from Bingham's Farm after spending 8 days including the August bank holiday weekend. The site is beautiful, tucked away in a valley North of Bridport and surrounded by open countryside. The site caters for adults only and has no shop (perhaps a milk and bread delivery might be considered). There is a bar and restaurant, but we did not use it. The pitches and large in the caravan field, numbered and allocated on arrival but the tent field is not numbered. The site has recently changed hands and the new owners, Liz and Alistair are keen to make things run smoothly. The toilet block is spotless and heated , which was a blessing during the distinctly cool weather at the end of last week. If you are looking for a site for peace and quiet, friendly neighbours, glorious countryside and easy access to West Dorset go no further. We camped in the main area in a shady corner, but if you like open views ask for one of the serviced pitches whieh have an unobstructed view of the surrounding hills. we will be going there again.
