My wife and I have just spent a very enjoyable weekend at Binghams Farm, and although we have children and grandchildren it was a treat for a change not having children around for a couple of days. The site Bar and Restaurant is first class and the staff are very friendly, my wife and I were not very impressed with the two nearest pubs to the site but there are plenty of really good ones not to far away. The site and all the facilities are all very well kept, and the dog walk is very clean and enjoyable even without taking a dog. My wife and I are now into our third Van and are well travelled and we rate Binghams Farm amongst the best sites we have stayed on. We hope to return there again later this year, and look forward to having a nightcap in Binghams Bar.

A really lovely site with the best showers we have ever used, a big thanks to Peter the cleaner for keeping them immaculate. The site is kept spotlessly clean and tidy and although the pitches in the tent field were sloping it wasn't bad enough to be a problem and more than compensated for by the view we had. The staff were great and When we did have a small problem it was taken very seriously by Jane and she couldn't have been more helpful. All the staff were very friendly and very approachable. The only downside was the barking from what I believe is a boarding kennels that starts at 7.15 every morning although it seems to be some distance away it is clearly audible on the tent field and woke us both every morning.

Pretty site in a good location, good facilities. As well as a shower block there are 5 private showers all very clean and a plug socket in the private shower block if you want to use your own hair dryer or straighteners. The tent area had lovely views.

Visited for a two night break. As outlined in other reviews loos, wardens etc. Are great but was a bit disappointed to be stuck on the sloping 'tent' field. Nothing against tents at all it was just not so good for a van as the main hardstand area apart from having a better view! So if you want the view and are happy to use chocks and blocks go for the field, if you want a better pitch go for the main one, but even some of those are quite sloping. Menu in the restaurant is very basic (no real starters) but well cooked and good value. Good location for what the area offers.

Excellent site. Hard standings are not too small. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nice little restaurant on site but you do have to book a table. They are licensed so you can visit just for a drink. Shower and washroom facilities are really good with 4 separate shower rooms and a separate toilet block. Good dog walk too. Not recommended to walk off site onto main road as it is a busy road but there are walks from the site for those energetic types. We spent two weeks on the site and we intend returning this August for the bank holiday weekend.

Have just returned from our second visit to Binghams Farm in Dorset and am pleased to say it was as good as our first trip. We missed Sandra and Kevin the previous wardens but the new ones were still friendly and helpful. The owners Lisa and Alistair were very welcoming and chatty, making sure of anything we needed. Even if you haven't got a dog it's worth taking a walk round the extensive dog walk, it goes on forever. Lovely views from either side and in the middle a lovely woodland walk, apparently sometimes deer come out. The nice thing is it's on the Devon borders so you have the best of both worlds. The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth is worth a visit. I was so sad to be leaving that we have made a provisional booking for next year.

This was our first visit to Binghams and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. In fact we decided it was probably the best site we have been to. The dog walk is a wonderful place to wander around even without a dog, and in addition there are plenty of walks from the site across natural fields and meadows. The site itself is immaculate and the staff very pleasant without being at all intrusive. Our only gripe was being driven almost crazy by two days of constant grass cutting from early morning to early evening. Our tip would be to go out for both days to avoid this, and enjoy the peaceful views on the remaining days. We did not use the restaurant but it did appear to be popular with those who did not mind booking a sitting in advance. We shall definitely return and can highly recommend a lovely well run site in a much underrated area of England.

We visited Binghams farm for christmas 2006. The staff were really helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us which really made our christmas. The site is of 5 star standard, very clean, quite and beautiful views. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. We took our dog and he really enjoyed the extensive dog walk which went right around the edge of the site. The wardens Pauline and Kev really went out of their way to make it an enjoyable stay so we will be returning this summer. There are lots of countryside walks nearby with the beach at West Bay a few miles up the road. The lovely old fashioned town of Bridport is less than 10 minutes drive away, a real pleasure to walk round. The site has a small restaurant and bar which we visited, this had a very welcoming atmosphere. All in all we are really looking forward to our return visit.

After an awful start to our break at Haven (Seaview in Weymouth) we moved to Binghams Farm for the rest of our break. This was our second visit to the site, and it was even better than we remembered. The staff are friendly and helpful, the views from the touring area are amazing. There are 5 'bathrooms' each with a glass shower, a toilet and a sink. These were kept very clean, and were just like being at home, I didn't see one insect in there. There are also more toilets and showers behind the block, which separate showers and toilets. The washing up area is sheltered and there is always hot water. There is also an indoors washing up area with a large sink, and free use of a microwave and freezer. There is also a restaurant, which was very reasonably priced. This site is excellent value for money, and will always be our first choice when staying in Weymouth. The pitches are large, and staff spread out guests as much as possible when they are not fully booked, which is nice.
