June 2004 Large clean campsite with excellent facilities and in a great position right next to the lake. Toilets and showers are excellent and seemed to have been recently refurbished. Childrens playground is fantastic. The only downside of the site is the large numbers of midges in the evening and first thing in the morning. Take plenty of insect repellant and citronella candles! The weather was poor when we visited and we struggled to find anything to do with our 20 month old in the area. Plenty of walks etc if the weather is fine.

April 2004 You couldn't ask for a better location here! Too far to walk into the town at night so take plenty of supplies. Site was very clean, reception staff friendly, we will probably return in the summer as you are allowed to swim in the lake.

18-20 July This is a wonderful campsite in beautiful surroundings and on the edge of the lake. The facilities were of a high standard and kept very clean. I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a relaxing stay near Bala.

summer 2002 Lovely site, loved the fact it was right on the lake, we brought a dinghy from a local shop and had hours of fun in it all the way across the lake and back, and whilst we were there the weather was wonderful which made for an even better holiday. the showers were clean but i found the shower blocks and toilet blocks a bit cold, could of done with better heating, so cold at night.Nice little shop that sold icecream so we were happy. We could pick which pitch we wanted which was a plus. my only gripe is that there was no clubhouse and no where within walking distance to have a drink. Put a clubhouse on the site and warmer shower blocks and it would be perfect. The fact that the lake was on the site sold it to us though. Very pretty, lovely scenery - if you want peace and quiet and lovely views this is the site for you.
