Our new favourite site! A big site but split in to 3 fields so there is no commercial holiday camp feel to it. We were on the top field(EHU), pitches were roomy and most of them level.
Very modern, clean shower block(plenty of shower and toilet cubicles. Roomy laundry/washing up room and a small but well stocked reception shop(they all sold croissants/ pastries etc (pre-ordered). Staff extremely helpful and friendly particularly the owners. Games room and a bar on site. The bar is quite stark but there are nice rustic tables/ benches outside by the stream so very pleasant. Lots of nice little touches ie the few dustbins that were on display(most were in a tidy fenced off area)were covered with pictures of cows and Ivy.
Site perfectly placed for both Combe Martin(amazing sunsets there)and Ilfracombe(nice harbour). Best beaches at woolacombe and Barricane Bay.
Small site shop and one in the village (Berrynarbour) but a Tesco superstore at Ilfracombe(approx 3 miles from site).
Two pubs in walking distance both serving food.
All in all a fantastic, well kept site. Just a couple of tiny niggles. You cannot use a footprint(breathable) under your tent. The toilets/showers in both fields are cleaned at 7am each morning which is a strange time to do it as it basically leaves 2 toilets and no showers for 125 units at a very popular time of the day!(6 or 10 am would make more sense)Although the shower block is fantastic it desperately needs a full length mirror and some kind of seat/bench in each shower cubicle. Washing machine is really good value at £4 but comes with washing powder and softener pre loaded so no good at all if you have sensitive skin/allergies/ a preferred detergent/softener)
Fantastic site though and we will definitely returning in the future.

Spent a week on this attractively modernised campsite with lovely flower beds around the reception area and can't fault the facilities.
There are two loo and shower blocks, one for the top field and one for the bottom/lake area. We stayed in the top field with EHU where there are plenty of electric points and water stands.
Showers were push button with plenty of hot water, 2 hair dryers and mirrors, would be nice to have a full length mirror too for future. Plenty of cubicles for both showers and loos.
Some pitches next to road are slightly sloping but no serious road noise to worry about. The late afternoon sun unfortunately doesn't reach the field as surrounded by trees so a bit shady but on the plus side, nice to listen to the owls as you fall asleep at night.
The bar on site was handy if you don't want to go too far in the evening. Benches and tables outside are best as the interior, although newly decorated, was a little harshly lit and could do with softer furnishings to make it more inviting.
Owners are very friendly and happy to respond to any issues you might have, although I don't think you will have many on this lovely campsite.
A short drive to Combe Martin where we went most nights to watch the sun go down over the bay With the rugged coastline of Ilfracombe, its lively harbour and sandy Woolacombe are just a little further.
There are two pubs within walking distance, traditional village pub in Berrynarbor and a modern pub on the main road, both serve food.
A very good week!

Just home after five nights in our folding camper. This is a lovely campsite and the staff are welcoming and very helpful. The toilets and shower blocks in both fields are kept spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. It is the push button type shower but we prefer that to having to pay each time. We were in the top field with ehu, some pitches especially backing onto the road were sloping but the rest were pretty much level. The bottom field by the lake looked more level but had more seasonal units pitched and we preferred where we were. There is also a large field for camping without ehu but it was empty while we were there. It is a good size lake with good fishing to be had. It is an easy walk into the village which has a pub with plenty of character (meals looked good) and there is also a pub just across the main road five minutes walk away (Sawmills) food was very good here although a tad expensive maybe. The site is in a quiet location and the road passing it is not busy so road noise not an issue. There is a bar, children's games room and the reception houses a small shop area with a good range of items. We would definitely return here.

One of our favourites ever !
We learnt this was taken over 18months ago, so older reviews aren't really appropriate as this has had a massive overhaul. The location, service, ambience, child-friendliness was superb; the shower block deserves an award in its own right!
Some new tipis on the lake edge were being installed when we were there - cool !
The ONLY thing I would improve here would be the bar interior - it may be on their list of refurbs - it wasn't in keeping with the 'boutique' feel of the site.
The kids loved paddling in the river. Fond memories of this site.

Friendly, helpful staff and we would visit again. The pitch was a bit cosy and we did mark the grass a bit (sorry) but the neighbours were friendly. Plenty of water taps close by, large, clean showers and toilets. We didn't use the bar, there is a small shop selling all you need. There is a large fishing lake and lots of space to walk the dogs. If you are coming off the M5 follow the A361 all the way. Going through Ilfracombe is the worst bit but turning right onto the A399 is a world of pain. Twisty, turny and narrow! Especially through Combe Martin and then sat nav will try and make you turn left at the top of the hill, very narrow! The Sawmills Pub is large and not easily missed. The food there is good, it is also dog friendly.

Location of this site is excellent. Scenery superb and area peaceful. It is just a few minutes walk to the village with local pub and shop. The site is dog friendly (as is the pub) with a large field for walking off the lead. The fishing pool looks good and fishes well. Site is well laid out. There are several showers and toilets which were always clean throughout our stay. The site has a small shop which is reasonable (although wine very expensive!) and a bar area serving local ales. Free WiFi is also available. You can walk into Combe Martin in about half an hour and there is a bus stop next to the site. The owners were helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning. One thing to note though if you are on O2 you will not get a telephone signal but that isn't a bad thing!

My favourite place in the UK is North Devon and with it comes my favourite Caravan and camping site MIll Park, I come here as often as possible even more so now with the wonderful new owners Adrian and Karen who have literally transformed the park in the few months they have had it, bringing such a wonderful welcome to existing and new customers. The site has its own bar, shop and even a beautiful on site fishing lake giving pleasure to both adults and children, toilets are extremely well kept and clean and showers have piping hot water at all times. The family run park could not be more welcoming or helpful. Nothing is too much for them and I can see the park thriving in the future. If you have never been here or have been before I recommend trying this park with the new owners, A beautiful park, very children/pet friendly with that so important personnel touch.

Just back from staying at mill park for the week on our very first camping trip on arrival the reception was closed which we did find a bit rubbish with it being a Saturday on a bank holiday weekend but we only waited 20 mins and someone came and opened up checking in was very easy we were given a site map and pointed in the direction of our pitch the site is very well kept our pitch was cv32 which is on the right as you drive in there was water and electric hook-up just at the back of the pitch. As I said we were on cv32 which was nice but did have a bit of a slope on it which would be ok for a motorhome/caravan but not the best for a tent. Now the facilities the showers and toilets were moped twice a day which was good but the shower cubicles themselves could of done with a wipe down saying that they were clean BUT could of been cleaner in my opinion. The laundry/pot washing room again was clean but same as the shower block just that extra little bit of time would off made a massive difference. The club house was was nice very reasonable prices and comfy settees all in all we really enjoyed our stay the staff we all very friendly and helpful and we would go back and also recommend it to others

A nice site that I would happily use again. It is easy to find- travel on the A399 between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin and turn onto Mill Lane nearly opposite the Sawmill Inn. The site is a few hundred yards up the lane. It is in a valley, so no sea views, but that means it is very sheltered, and tranquil when I was there. All I want from a site is the basic amenities, and not to be ripped off. For me, the price was less than half what other sites in the area were asking and the value for money was good. I can't add info about the 'pub', but I noticed a launderette, a kids' play area and a games room, not to mention the large fishing lake. The toilets have plenty of sinks, stalls and showers (in the gents' anyway), which got a regular clean, and everything works as it should. The tourer field seemed well supplied with electric points and taps. The grass was well mowed. The owner was very pleasant and even loaned me a folding chair. The only, minor, irritation at the site were some flies on a still day, but no worse than a great many other places.
The area is well worth visiting, even if the prices for a lot of things are high- the parking charges in some places are criminal. Berrynarbour, next to the site, is a dizzy web of tiny steep roads, pretty cottages, a church, a shop and a pub. There is nothing there but I thought it was lovely. Combe Martin is little more than one street- 2 miles long, and its own nice rocky beach with the biggest, best rock pools I've ever seen (man-made as a by product of a causeway but who cares). Just be careful of the tidal range in this area. Your deck chair and your gran will go for an unplanned swim unless you keep aware.
Ilfracombe has its harbour, but I suspect has gone the way of many trad resorts- tired and the people seem a bit downcast. It does have a big Tesco at the top of the hill out of town. Woolacombe and Croyde are the home of the surfer dewds- big sandy beaches.
The coast path is, as usual, very good, but I preferred the wildness towards Lynton rather than the other way.
