Lovely location with attractive views, and convenient for Hawkshead village. Very friendly staff.
Toilet block immaculately clean, and good facilities.
Large TV lounge with free WiFi which was very helpful. Free WiFi across the site, but signal weak at far end of site.

Fabulous campsite. Very clean and tidy. Gravel hard standing electric hook up pitches. Absolutely brilliant! Saved on mud and grass going in the tent.
Toilet block pristine. Push button showers which were hot and powerful. Power points in the bathrooms.
Washing up facilities. Washing and drying facilities also. Brilliant site.
Close to town within walking distance. Pubs and local eateries and shops etc. Would highly recommend.

One of the nicest sites we have been to and we loved the location. 10 minute walk on a footpath to pretty Hawkshead village with pubs, cafes, shops, bus, and everything you need.
The site was spacious and light with lovely open views. Extremely generous fully hardstanding serviced pitches and a modern toilet/shower block, 4 showers in each block.
The staff were helpful, especially with change for the laundry.
We paid £27. 50 per night.
We found the road from Coniston very narrow in places so took the bus to Ambleside.

This was a great site run by a lovely family who deserve great credit for the set up they have achieved.
Spotless site from the toilet blocks to the actual grounds.
Just a short walk into Hawkeshead and a short car drive into ambleside. You can take the path from the site into ambleside if your feeling energised.
Fantastic stay and a little gem set in breathtaking scenery.

What a lovely site! Booking and arrival by phone was very easy and meant zero contact so extremely covid safe. The site is very well laid out, very clean neat and tidy. Spacious pitches and nicely arranged over the site area. Very clean and plentiful showers, toilets and washing up areas, plus a laundry should you need one.
It's a 1/4 mile walk along a grassy footpath by a little steam into Hawkshead so boots probably required when it's wet. You probably could walk along the road but there's no footpath and it's a busy road, which we couldn't hear from our pitch!
Hawkshead is a beautiful and very popular village so this is an ideal site.
The pubs are having to turn people away due to covid issues ie staff shortages, which apparently has resulted in people giving them bad reviews, very sad and unnecessary I feel as we couldn't fault any of the pubs we managed to get in, the food and beers were spot on.
You just have to accept its the way things are at the moment, these people are doing their best and trying to earn a living, no need to make things even harder for them.
Plenty to see and do in and around Hawkshead. Coniston and Windermere are both walkable, which I've done in previous years, not by road I may add, it's a hike to both so you need to be prepared, but if you're walking in the Lakes you'll probably have all that in hand anyway.
Wish we could've stayed another night but it was fully booked. Would definitely book again.

We had a lovely level hardstanding pitch, the facilities are excellent and the showers were very good.
The staff are helpful especially in my case with change for the laundry.
There is a footpath between the campsite and the village where there is an excellent selection of shops and eateries, the footpath also leads to other walks.
