The access road had potholes, information booth no info apart from owners phone number. Lots of caravans stored on site. Really needed a sitemap as took a while to find the showers.
The toilets were in a cobwebby dirty cabin, although the flushing toilets themselves were clean. There was a falling down building behind the mens toilets. No where to dry hands. Washing up hut looked dirty. The showers were in a blue container, very large but falling apart inside & not very clean. There were portaloos in the big field but didn't use them.
The fields themselves were great, neatly mowed grass.
Lovely area but a bit of tlc would vastly improve this campsite

Entrance is a broken down shack with faded leaflets, dust, cobwebs and spiders.
A phone No. Pinned to a broken fence.
Large field ok.
Toilets and wash facilities very dilapidated, very old and dirty ! Never seen anything this bad! Toilet emptying facility was an open filthy slurry of sewage, disgusting.
Would not go near the place again !

This is a true camp site, not a holiday park.
Set in rural Oxfordshire with lots of silence, huge sky and open ground, yet still only a five minute drive from a huge supermarket.
Lots of local villages, local walks, river Thames and even Aunt Sally at the local pub.
If you’re looking for modern facilities and manicured plots with ever present hosts watching over you, this site is not for you!

I hesitated for a while whether to post a review as I have not had good experiences with this campsite.
The good things are: owner is super friendly, and the pitches large and tidy.
But at the entrance to the campsite, many caravans are stored, and there is a dilapidated information booth. This gives a shabby look, like arriving at a construction site.
The state of the toilets is not good, old, and not too well maintained. There is also a half-demolished old toilet block, waiting for better times. Showers stink tremendously, which is why we did not use them. There is a new little building for washing dishes, but it is not allowed to be used.
My advice to Jon: refurbish the entrance, and provide new sanitary facilities, so that this campsite will come into its own again.

Facilities were basic but working,
Ground conditions were water logged due to weather conditions the site had received. The field looked great for camping in the summer.
Jon was helpful with all issues that arose.
We stopped overnight all good.

The site is in a lovely location and owner was very friendly
However we couldn't connect to the power as our 10m cable couldn't reach from our site,
Also the toilet/shower facilities are very basic and could do with being of a more permanent structure.

Peaceful, listening to wildlife constantly.
Owner of site is a very nice person, very polite and helpful. Speaks often to find out if everything/everyone is ok.
Lots of places to go walking and to take our dog.
Not the first time staying here, we come back usually Feb/March time as well for a couple of weeks.
Always enjoyed it here

We reserved a single night at this campsite, and our experience exceeded expectations. The communication with the staff was not only swift but also exceptionally friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome.
The facilities, particularly the showers, were in impeccable working condition, adding a touch of comfort to our stay.
Furthermore, we were delighted to discover a fantastic pub just a stone's throw away, where we savoured some delicious food.
Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend this campsite to fellow travellers and campers. It's an all-around excellent choice for a memorable getaway.

Our second year in a row coming back to this campsite, just what you need to hear as we’re so happy with finding this little gem just on the Oxfordshire border and close to the town for a nice stroll in.
Can’t fault the service provided from the moment we booked it to the moment we arrived and left, was always so nice when we contacted for logs and just a lovely campsite overall!
