Stayed over bank holiday with 3 friends. Very friendly and easy going owner. Great pitch and good walks.
Would stay again. Couple of pubs nearby serving good food. A short drive is Dorchester on Thames.
Well worth a visit.

Lovely location, Peter was really friendly and checked on everyone a few times.
The main toilets where disgusting, Portaloos were much cleaner and got cleaned during the days just need to have the hand sanitiser refilled as it didn't get refilled.
Love the fact you can have a fire and bbq. Also needs to be ban on music being played after a certain time as was not happy on the 1st night with people playing music and shouting loudly from 10pm till 2am.
Overall lovely stay just need a toilet to be updated and a music ban after a certain time.

The site was a little larger than I expected but the relaxed and chilled atmosphere made for a very enjoyable couple of days. It was nice not to be smothered with regulations and process', but be able to ask questions via phone if needed.
It was lovely being able to choose a little area of land for our get together and, although there were a fair few other groups around, we were able to be sufficiently far enough away from others that we felt comfortable chatting at a regular volume and listening to low level music late into the night because it wasn't disturbing anyone.
The only minor issue was that some info wasn't as readily available as I would have liked. Small things like, whether there was a car park on site with a walk to the pitches or if you could drive straight on, if it was required that only wood purchased on site could be burned etc.
It all worked out fine, and I asked these questions upon arrival, but being a first time user of the site it would have meant the planning would have had less question marks over it.

A fantastic spacious campsite with limited but very clean facilities.
We loved having a fire and the owner is very helpful and sold lots.
The site is big enough for all and there is a pub down the road and lots of footpaths for dog walking

This campsite has so much space! We were a group of 7 and we were made to feel welcome At every stage of our visit from the first enquiry to checking that everything was ok during our stay!
The site is clean, the porta loos on the camping field were fully stocked with toilet roll, soap and the drinking taps around the field were easily accessible.
The Bear pub is in easy walk and the opportunity to have a camp fire was very much welcomed in the evening. Thank you so much for a providing us with great safe break away with friends, during the Covid Summer of 2020

Great location, a beautiful country pub within 2 min walk. Facilities could’ve been better for the price paid.
In the two portaloos I used there was no soap or hand cleanser. Also in the shower container the left hand shower didn’t work properly.
The information booth at the entrance was outdated and neglected. Liked the fact that campers could have a fire and wood was available.
I would go back there again, especially if these small problems were fixed.

The campsite is very spacious, with gorgeous views and good location. It’s great for young children to run about and very close to a play area.
The toilets were reasonably clean, and the showers were nice and warm.
Booking and payment were very easy and without any fuss.
We had a great time and definitely recommend it!

Positives; Large fields, camp anywhere, campfires permitted, no electric fields for tents, huge amount of room for camping/children/dogs/parties/group meets/portaloos. Couple of local pubs in walking distance
Negatives; Field access after rain horrendous, mud and ruts galore that you wouldn't want to risk towing a caravan over, tough enough in a car.
Small field for caravans with electric (used to be a C&CC, board still up) toilet facilities disgusting, 2 old dilapidated cabins.
Showers for whole site is a blue container that houses 2 showers, never used myself but friends on the campfire field said they were awful.
The whole site looks like a burial ground or tip for old and disused caravans, it is mainly storage but you drive through it all to get to the fields. Had we of been able to access the large fields with the caravan we wouldn't of bothered with the electric pitch.
Wouldn't go back here, the very poor facilities the guy is charging far too much at £20 without electric £22. 50 with

Lovely campsite we stayed in the camp fire field which is ideal for groups. Showers were hot and spacious even if they are a little hard to find.
The ports loos were scattered about the field and were always clean and stocked with loo roll and the surrounding area was lovely.
I thought the weekend was a bargain as well so very pleased.

Very relaxed site, plenty of room for spreading out.
The children of the group had a blast being able to play in the field without annoying any other campers.
