We arrived at silver sands at around 1pm
We telephoned Karen and she came to meet us at the office
She was brilliant, covid instructions were given clearly and professionaly
She talked us through toilets, showers etc
We were on plot 28
We asked about local restaurants, Karen took the time to write a list for us and gave us a taxi no
She really was so helpful
The view from all the pitches is stunning
The site is peaceful, immaculately clean
We had a fantastic time and will be back VERY soon
If Karen reads this thank you so much for having us

Exceptionally well managed site with spotless facilities and spacious pitches. Amazing views and a truly breathtaking coastline. Virtually on the beach. The showers were hot and for a pound there is a good long hot soak.
I would have to try very hard to criticise anything but if I did it would probably be that the hard standing pitches have quite unpleasant rough sharp gravel which my six year old kept hurting her feet on/ tripping on. But I guess that's the necessity for a flat camper van pitch.
The owner kindly let us shift to a spot with grass alongside so we could have more comfort underfoot.
One of the very best sites I have ever stayed at in 30 years of camping. Thanks!

Silversands is a wee gem of a place, Karen is running it on her own and I think
She's doing a grand job. Place was spotless and peaceful. I booked 3 nights in the pod which has solar power for the lights and 2 usb sockets, so if you want away from TV and just want nature surrounding you then the pod is the answer.
It's on a slightly elevated plot with uninterrupted views over the sea which I just sat and stared at for hours, read a book, took plenty photos of the sunset which never quite peaked while I was there but it was still stunning.
I was surprised that when I arrived because the temperature had been up and down Karen ha dout a duvet and pillow in the pod for me, a great surprise and was cosy enough at night without any heating in the pod, she also gave me some milk and 2 pound coins for the shower use.
The shower that comes with the booking for the pod is solely for your use so that was a bonus as well. Couple of nights I used the wee utility room for microwave meals and boiling their kettle for a cup of tea, that's all I needed and was a perfect stay.
The area is stunning and I came up for wildlife spotting and booked a couple of local cruises and managed to see dolphins. I also heard lots of cuckoo's but never saw them unfortunately.
If your in doubt, don't be, its a great wee caravan and camping site and was everything I needed and more. 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It’s rustic but more than enough and it is all about location.

Superb position close to lovely beaches. Spotlessly clean and well managed. Very quiet spot with terrific views over to eiigg and rum.
The pitches are mainly directly facing the beach and sea but there are NO bad pitches.
It is a real gem and would 100% recommend.
Don’t expect a clubhouse and kids playground there are great toilets and showers with a handy washing up room but the site is all about making the most of the amazing location.
