Stayed at this site recently and the staff were friendly on arrival. The site is ideally located for Balloch and it's amenities. We were sited in an area where caravans stayed long term but were all empty. It was like staying on an empty estate.
The showers were awful. The shower fell to bits when my husband used his and the block got very wet. He tried to mop up but the mop head came off. My shower wouldn't work so moved to a new cubicle where it was the quickest 5 seconds on record. The lady in the next cubicle didn't even enjoy three seconds and was most frustrated. Lovely local pub.

For us this was a little gem of a site. We're quite new to motorhoming and found the staff very helpful and very clear when we were asking about where to fill up with fresh water and where to dump our grey water. Can't remember our pitch number but we were on an end and we're quite happy with it, water was only 2 pitches away but having filled up at check-in point we didn't need it again.
Got some great advice from some of the long term pitch holders about the local area. Very friendly.
The toilet/shower block was spotlessly clean and also nice and warm with wall radiator (although annoyingly people would hang there towels on that while in the shower). Rainwater showers with temperature control and good size cubicles when taking the kids in too. There's a couple of family rooms appeared to have an extra charge but my kids are old enough to help themselves so didn't bother with that.
Kids enjoyed the park and made new friends everyday.
The location of the site is excellent. Walking distance to the bottom of Loch Lomond we spent an afternoon and a full day on some of the walks around Lomond shore and the castle (closed for renovation, but could still enjoy the view). The train station was 10-15 minute walk from the site and we went into Glasgow one day for only £11. 50 for 2 adults and 2 kids, took 40 minutes into Glasgow, museums are mainly free.
Shops for supplies also in town if needed, we arrived well stocked so didn't use them. No real site shop to speak of, just a few bits available.
There were loads of really good play parks around Balloch too to break up the walk our kids thought they were great. Lots of activities around that we didn't do but would consider when we return, segways/tree high ropes course / canoeing on the loch.
Can't wait to go back.

We stayed for one night here en route from the highlands to home in Wiltshire. Reception check in was good - staff friendly and informative. However you could be anywhere as you are at the very south end of Loch Lomond so no views. We would normally stop at Luss which is beautiful but that site was full.
The toilet block has been refurbished but for whatever reason the shower in the morning was almost cold - unsure what the issue was. I think this site is ok for a stopover en Route but wouldn't want to stay longer than that. There is a pub doing food across the road which takes the pressure off the cook for the evening and a Macdonalds close by for the kids.
Prices were £25 or £28 with awning per night - a little bit close to our neighbours which I don't expect for that price. As before - ok for a one night stopover

I will visit this site again as it is a great location for adults, families and dogs. I liked the pitch I was allocated as it was an end of row so had an open outlook. I would book a fully serviced pitch if I was going in high season as they had more space between pitches. The shower block was clean and modern.
I preferred the family room facilities. The chalets and cabins for hire looked lovely. There is traffic noise from the roads near by however it didn't spoil my stay.

We arrived at about 7:30 pm, in the pouring rain and without pre-booking. We called the number on the Reception window and immediately Bernie answered and came out to us. She was drenched so we invited her into our Motorhome to complete the paperwork. She was both welcoming and friendly, despite the atrocious weather. Bernie selected a lovely spot for us, close to the toilet block and beside a babbling stream. She issued us with a site plan and helpfully drew our route upon it.
The toilet block was fabulous - although the ladies' was being refurbished, I had to use the Family quarters which were outstanding. There were large cubicles with a wet room and toilet combined. The areas were spotless. There was a washing up area which we also used. We also spotted a bath within the complex. We have stayed at many campsites but have not seen very often such a well-thought out one as this one. It was quiet, clean and well-maintained.
The campsite was very handy for local motorways, A- roads and the Loch. It was also very close to a pub, offering evening meals which was just over the road. Bernie didn't even complain when we called her after 8pm by mistake and offered us good advice about obtaining wifi. Overall I would definitely recommend this site to anyone. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay!

We spent the New Year in our motorhome at Lomond Woods and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, The site is very well maintained, very clean heated toilet / shower facilities they've even got a machine that cleans your cassette toilet ! The site wardens were very Knowledgeable and friendly and the site itself is situated in an excellent position being just a 5 minute stroll in the the town of Balloch which has a number of excellent restaurants, pubs and a large co-op supermarket, there is a Marsdens Carvery across the road from the site along with a 24 hour MacDonalds and a Chinese. Loch Lomond and the Lomond shores shopping centre is also a 5 minute stroll away, we had some lovely walks along the shore of the Loch and also through the park up to the castle. Well recommended we will definitely use again

Excellent site, open all year. First class facilities, modern and immaculate.
Friendly helpful staff. Decent dog walk, and good walking directly from site.
Close to shopping, pubs etc. Will definitely return.
Some road noise but not enough to cause disturbance.

On arrival staff on reception were friendly and informative.
Showers and toilets were clean but others have said, sometimes let down by inconsiderate campers obviously not the sites fault.
Easy walk into Balloch or down to the shopping mall on the shores of the stunning Loch Lomond.
Many places to eat and drink although we never used any of them. One carvery type pub right outside the gates.
The site itself was a mixture of chalet type homes, small pods ? and touring pitches, all well maintained.
Small games room which we didn't explore.
The wardens were quick to stamp on two inconsiderate caravan parties who were partying well into the night.
Supplied in reception was a menu for Macchiatos, Indian and European restaurant. After a long day out we ordered a meal for two (Indian). Less than half hour later, a meal arrived in the car park of the site. Could have done with a fork lift to help me carry it back to the van. Great meal, amazing value for money.
Generally, pleased with the site overall.

We spent 2 nights at this site in September 2016. The site is very well situated in the town of Balloch with good food & shopping within walking distance. The site is very well maintained, facilities modern & clean. This is a great area for exploring Loch Lomond. Highly recommended.
