Stopped for 3 nights while visiting Glasgow. It was only £5. 80 return to Glasgow on the train from Balloch station about 10 mins walk from the site.
Very nice laid out and tidy site. Booking in was easily sorted out.
Toilets & showers were clean and warm.
They have a drive over motor home dump station, which is convenient.
Only annoying thing was needing a key for the toilet & showers.

Disappointed with this site. It was the highest priced site we stayed at but we did not think it was value for money. Pitches were adequately sized. Shower/toilet block was reasonably sized for the site which was quite large. The showers were operated by press button which allowed only 7 seconds of water with each push so very irritating. Also the drainage went through all showers so dirty water from other showers ran into the other cubicles. Recycling was located at the entrance to the site only with just 2 small bins for bagged waste near to the shower block. For a site of this size there should have been a second area for use further up the site. WiFi was available but at a cost, this should have been FOC for the price paid to stay there (I believe it was available to those staying in the statics FOC). Site is located on the edge of town with shops, etc close by. Didn't see Loch Lomond so unsure if this was close by or not.

We stayed in a camping pod on this site as our awning had failed. The site gave us an opportunity to rest and do our washing.
The pod was excellent very comfy with a oven and fridge, double bed sized bench and two smaller benches. The site is large but nicely laid out with a stream through it.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. Like other reviewers we found the need for a key to use the facilities was a pain. The shower block was rather far from the pods. Showers etc. Were modern and clean but with the usual bugbear of lack of space for dressing compounded by pushbutton controls which turned the water off every few seconds.
The site is very handy for the Queen of the Loch Pub opposite. Try the carvery which is an excellent bargain. There is shopping nearby in Lomand Shores shopping centre which includes a branch of Jenners; very weird

On arrival to the site the reception staff were extremely helpful, very polite and accommodating. We chose our pitch and set up. Please make note, pitching ground is hard standing so metal pegs are a must.
Toilets are kept clean if a little dated. Family rooms available with a generous amount of space. Key required for toilet/bathroom/washing up access. I'm not a fan of having to use a key for everything.
Games room excellent, again key required.
Beautiful stream running through site, ideal for child play.
In fact whole setting is absolutely stunning. Very clean and well maintained.
The Queen of The Loch Pub is over the road from site, Carvery looked good, wide range of food on menu and service v good. Only been open a week when we visited. If you'd like a take away the Wok Wong Chinese is very good and deliver to site quickly.
Cycle paths excellent. Nearby Balloch is a beautiful ride out.
Our only concern whilst staying at the site was the lack of consideration from the road users. Unfortunately most found it impossible to stick to the 10mph speed limit. Considering the number of children on the site we feel this needs addressing.
We will definitely return. We had a very enjoyable stay.

We spent a few days on this site but on pitch 80 which was plagued by wasps. They were all over the awning and it was impossible to sit in the caravan without keeping the fly screens over the roof lights etc. We mentioned to one of the staff about them and she said there had been previous complaints and we were offered to move to another pitch but chose to leave a bit earlier instead. The pitch itself was ok but a bit on the small side and we noted quite a few pitches were quite tight for space especially for the longer motor homes.
There is a lovely burn running through the site but anyone with really young children would have to keep a close eye on them as banking quite steep in places.
The ladies toilet block was kept fresh and clean with nice showers etc. The two hair dryers seemed to have decent power to let you blow dry hair.
The park is so convenient for Balloch and all it's attractions. We saw sunset boat trips on Loch Lomond amongst other trips which were within walking distance. The train station, takeaways (Indian, Chinese, McDonalds Fish n Chip shops, the best one is on a side road opposite the station) are all very close by.
Just a mile or so from Balloch is the Duck Bay Restaurant which has stunning views up Loch Lomond towards Ben Lomond. The food is very good combined with the loch side views it's a place to visit. You can't believe that Glasgow is only about 30 miles away from there.
We would definitely go back next year but not to pitch 80. Someone said that it was a Lime tree dripping a sticky substance over our caravan that had attracted the wasps. ??

This wasn't my first choice of site as we only wanted some were to break our journey south from Skye. The original site was a dump so drove straight out, plus a very wet and windy drive down the A82. We just arrived before the warden went of duty. She was very helpful and informative. She gave us a gravel pitch near the toilet block. We must have been luckier than the the last review because ours was level and quite roomy. The toilet block was new looking and very clean. I have never been on a campsite with a bath in the Gents toilets. I didn't use it because I had just had lovely hot free shower and I think it was pay for use hot water. We didn't stay long but what we saw would tempt us to go back with it being so close to Glasgow and the Highlands.

This is a great site. The facilities are cleaned daily (twice daily at peak times) and the park is neat and tidy.
The owner's could not be more helpful. They want to ensure you enjoy your stay and come back for more.
Pitches are a good size and are easy to access. Water, waste disposal etc. Are easy to find.
This is a super location for both short and longer walks. Grassington is close by and can be reached by bike or 'shank's Pony'.
Hope to back later in the season.

Mixed thoughts on this one as I type! Upon arrival it looks great. Seems well laid out and clean and tidy. The reception was obvious and the staff friendly and helpful. The good points.
Nice looking site that is well kept.
Toilet and shower facilities, whilst getting a little on the older side, are big enough and kept very clean.
Motorhome drive over point for getting rid of waste water and taking on fresh (good length of hose provided).
Close to all major facilities. Near the entrance is a Cantonese restaurant/take away and Macdonalds. The Loch is only a short walk as is the town with all the local facilities you would expect (shops, bars, tourist info / visitor centres, take away, etc. ).
Downsides.
Pitches were small. With the motorhome backed on as far to the side as possible the awning did not fit properly on the pitch. Part on the gravel hard standing, part on the grass. If I had pulled further over to get it on the grass we would have had to put the pegs and guy ropes in on the neighbouring pitch and would have had no outdoor space to sit.
Whilst there is no reason for the pitches not to be level, they aren't! Looks like a giant bucket had scooped out the pitch which then had gravel thrown over the top. It sloped in multiple directions and would have made a fantastic hazard on a pitch n putt!
Key required for all the facilities. Seriously?? Why? The toilet blocks are well inside the site so I don't believe people would wander that far in to casually use the facilities! Ok two keys were provided so it wasn't an issue but it just seemed pointless.
Road noise could be a pain.
We used this site as a stop en route as we were travelling further north and fancied a break from driving. As a short stay I might use it again. Longer stay, not for me thanks.

A lovely site with friendly staff and excellent facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The small town of Balloch with its excellent tourist information, railway station and good bars and restaurants is a five minute walk away, as is the loch itself with lovely woodland walks and cruises. We would have loved to stay longer!

Spent 3 nights on the site.
All staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Even though the site is mainly catering for static / seasonal caravans, tourers have ample space on the site.
Site tidy and well maintained. They even supplied waste bags to enable people to clean up after their dog. An excellent touch.
Toilet / shower facilities immaculate and cleaned daily.
Only slight downside was the noise from the traffic on the adjacent main road. Mainly caused by the 'blues and two's' of emergency vehicles.
