Fabulous site with great views across ths dales, the owners are so friendly and helpful.
Food in the pub was some of the best pub food we've ever had, Sunday lunch was fabulous.
There is seating to the front of the pub and further seating in the beer garden situated to the side and rear.
Toilet and shower block kept very clean and plenty of hot water.
We would have no problem recommending this site to anyone, it is an ideal place from which to visit the surrounding places and attractions

Site with excellent location for road access. All the pitches in the main area were hard standing with power and water.
The hardstanding were level which makes a nice change and each pitch had a small area of grass next to it. Overall its a compact site but not overly crowded.
The camping area is next to the main caravan are so has good access.
Facilities include very clean WC, Shower and an under cover washingup area. The facilities are really well looked after and one reason I will likely go back here.
The only complaint I have is that the pub seems to serve in units of about 0.9 pint, which when you buy a few starts to add up at the price of a pint these days. I'm sure if I had complained they would have fixed it but maybe I just went on a bad day.

I stayed at this super campsite with a friend on the pitch next to me. We asked for pitches away from the pub and road and were allocated suitable pitches.
The pitches vary in size, but this is included in the booking form. There may be some road noise for the first few pitches, but we heard nothing. Pitches are level and hard standing. There is EHU to every pitch and a water tap between 2.
The toilets are showers are spotless and look new. There is beautiful countryside behind the campsite with some amazing big brown fluffy sheep in the field adjoining the site. There are several walls directly from the campsite.
The fact that there is an adjoining pub was one reason we chose this site. The pub is warm with a wood burner in the restaurant and bar. I ate at the pub for two meals and the food was excellent. The food is restaurant quality, not your average pub grub. They also do takeaway meals, which can be collected from the pub. The takeaway was hot and a good portion and was in a disposable lined cardboard container. Both the pub meals and the takeaway were good value for money.
The owner Bridget and her staff at the pub were polite, helpful and pleasant throughout my stay. The weather was shocking with strong winds and hail and the pitches at the far end were quite exposed.
So when I come back, I will book pitches that are more sheltered, unless its the summer.
I will definitely return.

Stayed here over New Year, a lovely clean site, unfortunately our hose wasn’t long enough to hook up to the mains water but they very kindly lent us one long enough.
Food was delicious in the pub and we enjoyed a couple of nights in here.
Lots of lovely walks from the site, easy access to trails with decent walking. Toilet and shower facilities were spotless and I liked that they were accessed by code so only used by campsite users.
Would return, it’s in a really good location for what we love doing

Arrived 10mins early, was made to wait till exactly 2pm, small pitch size, if we had of put our awning up we would of had to parked our vehicle in front of the van, blocking the view, which was the only good thing the site has to offer, the pitches claimed to be fully serviced but we had to share a tap which meant we couldn’t keep out pipe hooked up and it was to far away anyhow!
And to say she was Covid safe after our pep talk on arrival, we couldn’t understand why she put the only 4 campers on adjoining pitches, making us share a tap, when there was at least another 15piches to choose from! No grey water waste but she said just let in run out into the hedge, can’t be very hygienic, especially in warmer weather,
Road noise was constant (A515)n o dog walking on site or near by, and be careful what dog breed you have, good job we had 2 spaniels, because on arrival she asked what dog breed we had, apparently they don’t take certain breeds (ie bull terries) disgusting! If they are all kept on a lead what’s the issue?? Surely what breed we had should of been asked that when booking!
Felt a very unfriendly site, won’t be returning!

The site was set up well for Covid-19 to help all campers to feel safe in the present situation. The owners could not be more helpful and had take away food available from the pub.
Facilities were spotless and well maintained.
We would definitely visit again.
Walking map really useful, some great places around to get a coffee / food etc
