Just returned from an enjoyable few days at this site. Very clean and a generous sized pitch.
The wardens were helpful and polite throughout our stay.
Visited Severn valley railway on the Saturday and spent afternoon visiting many places with Bridgenorth bring final destination. West Midlands Safari park is also very close to site.
Would recommend this site and will definitely be returning in the near future.
Many thanks to wardens, you are doing a grand job and campers appreciate your hard work.

Just come back from the Wolverley, stayed for the week end, we were positioned next to a main road though they have grown a edge to try and cut down on road noise but we didn't let it bother us, there are pitches further over away from the road but we booked about 10 days prior to going. The site itself is beautiful, grass pitches as well as hard standing, the grass was lovely and short with plenty of rubbish bins around, the staff are very friendly and showed us to our pitch, there was a children's play area and recreation room, the toilets and shower block were spotless and with powerful showers, there was a good size dog walk with fencing all the way around it. There is a great pub 'The Lock' literally 2 mins away with a canal right outside, our first time there to try out our first caravan, enjoyed it and will be going back.
Thanks Chris & Debs

Lovely campsite, the toilets were newly refurbished and very well appointed and spotlessly clean at all times. The washing up area was indoors and lots of sinks including low ones so the kids could wash up! Children playground was well appointed and there was a games room with table tennis and games. Lots of space around units and you could choose sun or shade. The wardens were friendly and stopped for a quick chat when they passed.
Shop was basic but had milk and other things as there was a local shop nearby. Two pubs within walking distance, the Queens Head was very good for food and we went there when a good band was playing, although there were quiet rooms as well.
Bewdley was very pretty and went on the steam railway from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. Some lovely walks and you could walk down the towpath or get a bus to Kidderminster.

This was our first visit to a C&CC site, we were not disappointed, we were greeted in a friendly manner and shown to a lovely level pitch with a nice view. The shower block is one of the cleanest and fragrant we have ever used.
We enjoyed walking along the nearby canal and visited the pub The Lock which was friendly we enjoyed a sunday lunch nicely priced.

As always with Camping and Caravanning Club sites, friendly, welcoming and informative staff. A well laid out site, mainly grass pitches with a limited number of hard standings. Excellent shower/ washing up/ playground facilities. A choice of two good pubs within walking distance with adjacent walks alongside the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. An excellent 'Deli' shop in the village, selling a range of provisions, local specialities plus daily newspapers, which is only 10 minutes walk away. A little noisy from passing road traffic during the rush hour periods, busy on site during weekends, otherwise a peaceful site. Centrally located for visits to Kidderminster and various tourist attractions, such as the Severn Valley Railway, Ironbridge, Hartlebury Museum and Arley Arberetum to mention just a few. My only criticisms are that the internal access road needs to be extended to minimise the movement of arriving and departing outfits in between parked outfits, sometimes a little too close for comfort, plus usual problem of people driving far too fast on site. Otherwise would recommend this site - we will return.

An excellent site.
Access is good.
There are immaculate shower and toilet facilities with a family room and disabled toilet and shower.
The site is undulating but most pitches are level - new hardstandings have been placed at the upper end of the site - bring your rock pegs!
A small children's playground has a brilliant climbing frame.
There is quite a lot of road noise during the day (if you are pitched at that end of the site) but the road becomes quiet at night.
There is a small shop in reception for essentials but the opening hours are short. In the village of Wolverley (well worth a walk) there is a small cafe/grocers selling bread, milk and other essentials. The Queens Head next door to the shop is a quieter alternative to the Lock.
As mentioned in previous reviews, the site is well placed for visiting numerous attractions and the proximity of the canal makes for pleasant walking and cycling.

Like being in parkland.
Almost just over the fence from the canal, this is not just one of your regimented, flat campers parking lots. Trees, very green, manicured grassy banks - so you may need levellers, although a whole lot of hard-standing pitches were being built.
Next door is The Lock pub, cosy but menu basic.
I wanted to see all those secret priest holes - but they were hidden from me! Odd hours at the nearby Catholic-owned Harvington Hall. Definitely closed when I arrived. Went instead to Hanbury Hall where NT had nicer hours - but not so exciting - just like its lunch offering in the tearoom

We love this little site. It is fairly local to us but when we're there it feels like a million miles from home. It's in a reasonably quiet location but is close to the major West Midlands conurbation and also to many tourist attractions. There is a lot to keep you busy there.
The site itself is well maintained by the helpful staff. There is a large indoor games room with pool tables etc so plently to keep children and teenagers occupied.
The site is set on an incline and although there are level pitches (all grass at present) it's probably wise to take levellers away with you. The soil is well draining and the grass soon dries out after rain.
The shower/toilet block has been completely refurbished and is fabulous. Push button now but hot water with a strong flow. Kept immaculately clean.
We parked the car and didn't use it again until we left. It is easy to cycle the one and half miles into Kidderminster along the canal, in fact it's easy to cycle anywhere along the canal even down to Stourport or up to Kinver. Very easy riding for everyone including novices.
Just outside the site is The Lock Inn, right by the lock so perfect for gongoozling. They serve food but for a decent pint of real ale you're best heading into Wolverley village, just a five minute walk, to The Queens Head which also benefits from a much quieter location away from the main road. They also serve food and there is a lovely little cafe just next door.
The countryside around Wolverley is pleasant. Lots of lovely walks and rides and if you pop into Kinver visit the butchers by the Spa and sample the pork and black pudding pie; heavenly! Also in Kinver are the famous Rock Houses, which are well worth a visit.

Booked this site as it was mid distance for us and our friends from the North!
Easy to find using sat nav, although if approaching from the south, about a mile out is a pretty steep hill.
Nice picturesque site, and very friendly staff who showed us to a fairly level pitch. Electric all fine, and plenty of space on the pitch.
Amenities - it is evident that the amenities are new, a very nice toilet block and plenty of cubicles. Also family rooms (x 2) and disabled toilets.
Very dog friendly, and you are allowed use of the football fields next to the site.
Pub just down the road next to the canal, and they even did takeaway food (saw the size of the chips they served and decided to get some to accompany the bbq. )
Only thing I was not aware of, was it is a first come first serve in terms of pitches, although the reception did their utmost to ensure we were sited near our friends who arrived on different days.
Definitely visiting again!

We had a friendly welcome on arrival and were given a choice of pitches which we were shown to. The grass pitch was fairly flat-just needing a slight bit of help from the ramps as we worry our fridge is a little temperamental.
This is a lovely green site with plenty of trees around. As mentioned in other reviews the amenities block was a bit dated but always very clean and warm and when we came to wash up-plenty of hot water.
The rear gate exited round the corner from the Lock Inn which has a nice canal frontage, very hospitable staff and a reasonably priced menu. We ate here on the Friday night and had a very good meal.
Must mention the other pub in Wolverley as it isnt signposted from the main road and we only found it while having a wander into the village. The Queens Head doesn't open for as long hours as the Lock but has great live music and is a very friendly place to spend the evening.
Crossing the road opposite the Lock pub we walked along the canal past Kidderminster (approx 30 mins) to Stourport on Severn (approx 2 hours) which is where the canal meets the river Severn. This is a pleasant easy walk and Stourport is an interesting town for a wander.
We would definitely return to this site as it has has plenty to offer in the area and two good pubs in close walking distance and was very well looked after.
