We had a wonderful time here for 2 weeks, weather was really hot. Very friendly wardens. Plenty of places to visit and Wolverley village pub has great food and good live music. Showers and toilets were always spotless. There were 4 of us in 2 vans we even managed to stay another day. Bewdley is well worth a visit, good selection of supermarkets in Kidderminster. We will be going back next year hopefully.

Quite a pleasant, friendly campsite, if only it was away from the road noise although this dies down during the evening. Found the toilets ok and clean and liked the floral display by reception. As others have said it is by the canal so this site is excellent for cyclists/walkers with the towpath extending for miles in both directions.
With a bus service every half hour to Kidderminster( details from info. point on site) this site is ideal for those wishing to leave the car behind. The local village itself Wolverley is very quaint with two pubs, both do food and real ales. We walked to Kidderminster along the very pleasant canal towpath (although wasn't too keen on the town itself) past Saisburys to The SVR with a couple of pints excellent beers in the GBG listed station bar afterwards.

Have just returned from a far from peaceful weekend at this site, the road noise was horrendous, we could not sit outside our van and enjoy what is to be honest a nice site. If you pre book request a pitch away from the road, it may have a B classification but it carries quite a considerable amount of traffic. On the plus side try the pub in the village The Queens Head, live music(check out their website)good food at a good price, polite staff and a decent pint to help you sleep at night. Nice walks along the canal, we drove the short distance to the Clent Hills, worth a visit, an easy climb on well made paths to see far reaching views.
Would we return ?? possibly if we could be guaranteed a pitch away from the road. Definite no no if only road side pitches available.

Visited this site in the may bank holiday. The units seemed close together and as the park was very busy it appeared cluttered.
There are only 3 showers for the females and it was not enough if I am honest.
The pitches sited on the ' island ' are very sloping although there are flat pitches around the site.
The approach to the site is also hilly
The people who ran the site were very friendly though, nothing seemed to much trouble.
There is a large field adjacent to the site for the dogs and kiddies to play. This was excellent although no playing facilities on this field. There are a couple of swings on the site.
We would probably return but not in holiday time.

We stayed for 4 nights. Even though it was busy, we find that we didn't have to queue for the shower or toilet and it was always kept clean. The campsite ground is quite well maintained and there is enough spaces for everyone. The recreation room was quite good and has a pool table, pingpong and lot of board games. It seem that there was a lot of tents on site rather than caravan or motorhomes. The playground have a few swings but most of the time it was full of children. We cycle along the canal to go to Kidderminster a couple of time to get our shoppings at Sainsbury and also to visit the town centre. On Thursday we found that there is an open market. We also visit the Severn Railways musuem near the railway station which is about 10 min walk from the town centre and it was very interesting.

Just got back from 4 nights here, A great site with some of the friendliest site managers I've come across, they had a couple of events put on to raise money for charity raising about £135, they have several other events planed during the year. The toilet block/showers were always clean and we never had to queue even though the site was full, they were also heated. The 4 Showers were great, lots of hot water and powerful. The shop stocked lots of bits and pieces with book swaps and DVDs for loan as well as hire of table tennis bats to use in the recreation hall, there is also a Pool table, boxes of games, lots of information and Wifi connection for a small fee. There is a large playing field next to the site. The gate at the bottom of the site leads down to the canal, with pub, by a lock, that you can walk along right into Kiddiminster, about 45 minutes, 2 1/2 miles, passing a large Sainsbury's.
We visited RAF Cosford Muesum a great place to go and it's FREE. There is the West Midlands Safari Park nearby. Beautiful scenery all around. All in all a great place to camp, we will be going again.

Tried this site out as it was very local (ie less than 5 miles from home)
Obviously, being so close there was little in the way of surprises in terms of local facilities - The Lock pub is a little expensive but very welcoming. Sainsburys in Kidderminster is a short run down the towpath.
My only real criticism would be to mirror that of others, the road noise can be a little excessive if you pitch on that side of the site - I would recommend asking to be pitched away from the road when booking.

A very pleasant site, great for children of all ages, a games room with pool, darts, and table tennis which is very useful if it happens to be raining. Also has a TV room and swings etc on site.
Quite a few of the pitches are sloping but not too bad, I would also advise a satellite dish if you want to watch some TV as reception is very poor.
Toilet blocks are kept very clean although could do with some privacy booths in the mens toilet block, apparently the ladies toilets have them.
The local pub 'The Lock' serves a good pint but would class the food as just OK, nice to sit outside and watch the boats go through the lock.
Another thing I would like to see on this camp besides the privacy booths in the mens would be a more defined area of the pitch you are staying on, it felt very hap hazard, no markers at all.
Last thing that I can mention is the site does have wi-fi but quite expensive £4.00 for the first hour.

For our first family (my wife and I and our 2 children (3 and 1) camping trip we chose a campsite that was fairly local but in a location that we hadn't been before. Overall we were very pleased with our choice, Wolverley is a fantastic site (although obviously we have little to compare to at the mo). We found the staff to be very helpful and welcoming, and soon got chatting to a few of our 'neighbours'. Because we had left the booking quite late, only booked at the beginning of May, we only had the choice of two pitches. We opted for pitch 71 near the shower block as we thought this best with the two children. The pitch itself was quite large but also it felt quite cosy with only 5 other pitches. The only downside was that it was not a level pitch and although this did not effect our tent (Montana 6) it made the first night quite uncomfortable because we had not adjusted the positioning of our beds to compensate. We found the Toilet \ Shower \ Washing facilities to be very good, both in cleanliness and appearance. They also had a play ground for the children that our eldest couldn't keep off. There were a couple of critisms I would make though; they don't have a family bathroom although we could use the disabled facilities which were perfectly adequate, just a shame that there wasn't a bath. The motorbike noise can be irritating but to be honest that's more a local council issue than a problem for the site.
I can't comment on the local pub et al, as we didn't leave the site for social reasons, only popped to the local co-op and sainsbury's. They did have quite a few activities on the site though and if we had stayed for the week (only went for the weekend) then there certainly looked like lots to do both for the children and us.
Well, not much else to say about the site, overall it was a nice break and would recommend the site to others wanting to explore north worcestshire and the west midlands as the road network is very good. Found it quite tiring with the two little ones though, they just loved having the space to run around!

Arrived on site about 19.30 on Friday bank holiday. It's an ex forces site old but very well kept. I was phoned prior to arriving and told they managed to upgrade my pitch to electric. Easy to get to and find. We were met and signed in. Staff friendly and I was asked what type of pitch I would like. I chose Sun in the afternoon and was helped to position the van. Most pitched are flat. Showers etc was good with loads of hot water. Staff arranged various entertainment. Pub about 50 yards from bottom gate next to canal. Better pub in Wolverley village. 3/4 hour walk into kiddiminster along canal. This was my first C&CC site and thought if this is the general standard of C&CC sites then I will use this and many others in future
