Had a great 3 nights here, the site was busy but very quiet
Toilets & showers clean with plenty of hot water and always available when required.
On site small shop for newspapers etc
Kids play ground with swings & a slide which looked quite new and our kids enjoyed playing and making lots of friends there. Also an indoor room with pool & tennis table.
Pub & canal within a stones throw and a good cycle path into kiddiminster along the canal
Good base for visiting Dudley & local attractions
Good sized pitches and you are able to choose where you want to pitch and shown by the owner.
An excellent site and would definitely return if ever in that area
Only minor point is take an external aerial with you as the reception is poor with my built in aerial.

We stayed for 6 nights in the school holidays at this campsite and were impressed. We arrived on a Saturday and were given a choice of pitches for our tent (there is a larger choice if you want a hook up). The office was open when we arrived even though our arrival was outside their advertised opening hours and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The toilet and shower blocks were spacious and clean and must have been cleaned a few times a day. The washing up facility contained 4 sinks and was also lovely and clean.
The children's playground equipment is well kept but minimal - swings and a slide - but kept our 5 and 7 year olds happy. The playground is visible from most pitches around the site so we could keep an eye on them from the tent.
We ate at 'The Lock Inn' which is situated just off the campsite. The food was good and reasonably priced but it does get very busy. There is also a tea room and ice cream shop next to the Lock inn which is open 9-5. We would thoroughly recommend the ice cream!
There is a local village shop and a campsite shop but both are minimally stocked and shut around 5pm. We would have liked the campsite shop to stay open a little later - maybe until 6:30 so it is open when you arrive back from a day out.
We found the ground to be quite hard when pitching the tent so be prepared to try a few different places with your pegs.
We would definitely go back to this campsite.

Arriving in pouring rain and trying to level the caravan on a wet grassy slope resulted in a burning clutch and much amusement for all watching!
Normal C&C Club standards of cleanliness - just what you get used to expecting from Club sites.
If you go out the back gate you walk easily to the canal and a pub. Our group had a meal there - don't remember much about it (not because of alcohol haze I hasten to add, but because it wasn't memorable!) but do remember my shoes sticking to the carpet!
The kids enjoyed watching a narrowboat go through the lock.

Mixed reviews on this site.
Positive:
Nice setting, close to Canal - can walk into Kidderminster, pub on canal lock.
Some Trees around to offer shade.
Large Facilities - not bad condition but maybe could do with a bit of update.
Good Kids Play Park.
Nice 'Man' staff member.
Good location to visit Dudley Zoo & Birmingham.
Negative:
'Woman' staff member in shop/office very rude and unfriendly to our children when they were sent to get some bread for us and on other occasions when they wanted to get sweets. I suggest she changes her job if she doesn't like children as its supposed to be the friendly 'family' club!
Usual ridiculous closing of shower block right at the peak time of use! When will the C&CC realise they really put people off with this stupid rule?? No other site I have ever been to shut the block just when you are getting ready to leave/arrive!
Overall we had a nice stay here. Make sure you get pitch away from road though.
Good Maize Maze about 3 miles away on route to Dudley.

This was our second visit to this site, as it is easily accessed from Birmingham. We stayed in a group with children in the first week of the school holidays and some of us went to work from the site.
The facilities were clean and I particularly appreciated the sink in the baby room to give my young child a bath. The children enjoyed the play facilities and we easily found activities in the local area to amuse the children.
Would happily recommend this site and would gladly go back.

We stayed four nights here to test my Sister's new-to-her caravan while it was still under warranty. It's my 3rd visit to the site, and I've never been disappointed. The wardens will help you site your caravan if required and are on hand whenever you might need them.
Our bathroom sink was blocked on arrival, we investigated and found it needed a good clean, the lady warden let us borrow their cleaning fluid which was very kind of them.
This site is lovely, never seems overcrowded and is in a lovely green area with a small interesting olde worlde village a short walk away.
The site facilities, whilst they may be a bit dated, outclass many on other sites for cleanliness and are lovely and warm all the time, nice when you want a shower! There are also several wash cubicles, so that you can have a good wash down in privacy.
The site is on two levels, the main bit at the top is level, and most of the lower field has level siting, even though on an incline. I had asked to be placed on the top field near to the loos, as the lower field is a walk uphill and a bit much for me. My wish was granted, a lovely pitch opposite the road into the site, and the huge playing field opposite where the dog could get lots of exercise. The playing field would also be a good place to take the kids for a game of footy, etc. , and right on the doorstep.
There is a pub a short walk away, and across the bridge a cafe. There is another pub in the village as well as a very nice pavement cafe. The car park there has a very interesting set of 'cave houses' with a church atop an impressive sandstone cliff. The church itself is also worth a visit.
For a great day out in the car, look no further than Stourport on Severn, a charming Edwardian inland port. Kidderminster also has a good shopping centre and a zoo, although I haven't been to it!
Altogether a very pleasant visit once again!

Stayed one night on stopover. Site pleasant enough, very near to canal with lock. You can walk along canal into town.
Toilet & shower facilities a bit outdated but clean. Can't understand why they shut & clean everything at 10. 30am, surely it would be better just a bit later!
Shop selling basic supplies. Staff very polite and helpful.
A lot of children on site as was Easter holidays. Good play areas.
Went to eat at the Lock Inn. Got there 7.55pm waited 10 mins to get served a drink then informed that they stopped serving food at 8 pm so wouldn't serve us any food! There is no other pub or restaurant within walking distance.

Went for the Easter weekend to see family in the area.
A sloping, grassy site with a complete range of tents, caravans and camper vans mixed together. It's very much a families site with a playground of swings and slides and a small games room. Not noisy when we were there but busy and felt a bit cramped.
Facilities were clean but basic and a bit dated.
The Lock Inn is very close by but small and a bit cramped when busy. Food was reasonable. There is another pub in the village but it's not very obvious!
There is a pleasant walk by the canal and around the village.
Dog walking is on a sports field opposite the entrance as well as the canal walk.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and as a site for families it is good with a reasonable atmosphere. Because we prefer adults only sites we would come again only for family visiting.

This was our second visit to this site (last time was July this year) and it is such a nice site.
Pitches are not quite as regimented as other C&CC sites which is nice. Toilet blocks are a little outdated by todays standards but nevertheless spotless.
Site managers very friendly and helpful. Very close to canal (with pub only 100 yards away) which we walked along into Kidderminster. Took about 40 minutes so I guess around 2 miles each way.
Plenty of shops etc on the retail parks but town a little run down. Two other pubs in Wolverley village, all 3 serve food.
Small children's playground consisting of swings and slide.

This was our first visit to the midlands and this site. The pitches appeared very close together and the ground varied between grass and concrete.
The site is on an old army base and the barrack rooms now house the toilet/showers and washing up facilities. They are basic but clean. The main problem wee found was the very intrusive road noise from early morning till late at night.
The canal walk is very close by as is the Lock Inn which provides good food and a take away menu at reasonable prices. It is advisable to take a torch is visiting th pub at night as the adjoining lane (which has to be crossed) is unlit.
There are many beautiful places to visit within easy driving range as well as pleasant walks down the canal.
There is a large Sainsburys approx one mile from the site. The site shop sells basic items and papers can be ordered.
