Visited after reading good reviews, and was equally pleased. Upon arrival the reception was closed due to only 2 staff on, but only had to wait 15 mins, when checked in found staff to be very helpful and apologetic.
Was shown to field and offered choice of plot, and found plot to be much larger than other campsites.
Echo other comments re hard ground, bent about 6 pegs, but persevered and got them in.
Toilet and showers were always clean, and water always hot, even in the middle of the night.
Lots of children playing on playground, but once dark, there was no noise. (unlike other sites I've been too).
Rained during our stay, but ground did not get muddy, must be all the stones under the grass to aid drainage!
5 min walk to Lock pub, excellent food, but mains are a bit expensive. Sat outside watching the boats go through the canal lock, very entertaining.
Walked into village about 10 mins and found another pub, a bit quiet, but very nice. Didn't try any food but menu looked good.
Kids enjoyed play room, with pool table, table tennis, games and colouring activities (refuge for whilst it rained)
Excellent location for Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport, etc
All in all very good, quiet relaxing site.
Will definitely go back

We stayed for two nights - Friday and Saturday - as a group of four families, and we all found this site to be a good one.
The staff were friendly, helpful and safety-conscious (including warning children at the playground at dusk that it was too dark for them to be there without their parents).
The showers and toilets were consistently clean and - even though the site appeared fairly full - we rarely had to queue for showers. We felt confident in allowing our children to explore the children's playground alone; the playground is small but the equipment is in very good condition.
The only downside - important because we were all in tents - was the noise from the nearby road that others here have mentioned. If using tents at the site, we'd recommend requesting pitches as far from the road as possible.
We'd also agree on the difficulties with pegging out - we found lots of stone material just under the surface on our pitch, as did our friends.
Overall, a good site with lovely countryside nearby.

Nice site with plenty of space for tents not needing electric hookups.
Facilities block dated but adequate for our needs. Washing room had a very useful tumble dryer. Gravel car park had to be crossed to get to facilities so the children were not able to go alone which was a bit of a pain.
Playground limited but very much enjoyed by my young children.
Plenty of water taps.
Lovely walks along the canal and we spent many happy hours 'helping' boats through the lock. Tea room just by lock and a lovely tearoom/village stores (with REAL bread) in the village.
A massive queue to get in really held up our leaving on changeover day, must remember to leave earlier next time!

We stayed here for 1 night, with no hook up
The place is exceptionally clean and well managed, but is small and lacks atmosphere - you could be staying in your back garden with no view, just enclosed by bushes and surrounded by busy roads.Staff are friendly.
There is a great field not far from the site where the kids could play cricket and football
Lots of opportunity to visit the area like west mids safari park and kidderminster is 5 mins away with all the usual shops
The lock pub serves amazing iced cider which I still dream of.

Stayed here for the half term break. We picked the right week for weather, although one day it did lash down, the upside of this it showed that the site is well drained.
We were positioned in the ill fated top corner right by the road and as per previous reviewers, the road noise is quite bad. You do get used to it but I would suggest if you are in a tent you avoid the road side of the site as much as possible.
The Lock Pub just down the road from the site is excellent. We only had lunch there so cant comment on evening meals, but the beer is good, the view is excellent and if your into people watching you can lose hours just watching the boats go up and down the lock.
The site itself is, as usual with a C&CC site, excellent. The showers are clean and there is always plenty of hot water. There could do with being a few more showers as when the site is busy there can be a queue at peak times. The staff are friendly and generally the site is well kept.
There is no site lighting, so if you need the loo at night you will need a torch to trek to the loo block.
If your in a tent take your rock pegs, the ground is fairly dry with hard core not far below the surface.
All in all an excellent site. We would go back if we wanted to visit the area again.

The shower/toilet facilities were great. The girls had lots of sink cubicles as well as showers and toilets, the gents were smaller but just as nice. They seemed to be cleaned a few times a day. The shop on site was tiny but had all the essentials. The members of staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice pitches, great view. The road could be a little noisy, but not like a main road. It is close to SV Railway and West Midlands Safari park (it took us 5 minutes to get to the safari park). A canal runs past the site and there is a pub there too, but we did not try the pub so we cannot comment. We did go for a meal in a pub in Bewdley which was nice and appeared in the Good Bear Guide.
Swings and a slide on site kept the children amused. They also have a large field for ball games.
Nice, quiet, family site. We would go there again.

First time visited. Easy access if you don`t go down Lea lane as we did! Site entrance road a bit bumpy- we were told by the site managers that upgrade due.
Pitching on different levels due to nature of site. Toilets, showers, laundry & dish wash areas immaculate as always on club sites. Lashings of hot water.
We didn`t use our car at all, the canal towpath provides easy access to Kidderminster (45 mins easy walking) & Cookley (about 30 mins). Pub on towpath. Bus to Kidderminster every 30 mins 10 mins walk away.
Site shop sells basics + information room with timetables, area info etc. Site managers lovely, very helpful, always pleasant. Lovely area, easy to get to Worcs, South Shropshire.
Good children's` play area, well used over the weekend! Co-op about 5 mins drive away, excellent shopping & eating in Kidderminster. bout 30 mins from M5, so easy from most of country.
Would visit again if wanting to see this part of country, but perhaps best to visit out of high season, as could be busy.

The site staff could not have been nicer. The wash blocks are absolutely immaculate. The site is not totally level but its nice to be able to park your van where you want to and there are a lot of level pitches.
The road down one side of the site I admit is very busy and I can imagine annoying if in a Tent but if in a caravan or Motorhome - no problems. We slept soundly every single night.
We cycled up and down the towpath of the Staffs @ Worcs canal and it is very picturesque and lovely to walk down too. Stourport on Severn and Bewdley are very nice, Kidderminster ok if you like high street shops.
Best to drive into the country for a nice pub meal. The lock pub is ok for basic food and its nice sitting outside watching the narrow boats go through the lock. The pub in the village is hard to find but a good pub, its past the wood yard and turn right. We would definitely return again as we had such a lovely time.

Arrived about 7.30pm on the friday and we were given the choice of where to pitch. In hind site parking near the gate to the canal/pub was a bit silly as it meant lots of traffic walking past us late at night but that was our own fault.
The kids loved the playground and made lots of new friends. The toilets/showers were nice and very clean
We were woken about 4.30 by the crows who were then joined by the cows and the sheep made quite an interesting composition
Would definitely go back again

We visited this site just as the kids went back to school. It was fairly busy, but still quiet. The playground and recreation room were a hit with our young boys.
Toilets and showers clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly.
There didn't appear to be any hardstanding pitches and some of the site is sloping.
We had tea at the Lock pub which was just a couple of minutes walk away. Next to it was a tea room. If the weather had been a bit warmer it would have been lovely to sit outside the pub by the canel.
There is a busy road that runs along side the pub and campsite, but if you don't pitch on that side of the site the noise is minimal.
