Had a really wide hardstanding pitch overlooking the sea however we did suffer some strong winds during our visit which rocked the motorhome. We used the lower toilet block which I thought was exceptionally clean and modern. The walk to the local village Mortehoe takes about 20 mins and has two pubs, a café, shop and a couple of take-aways, thought the local real ales in the Chichester Arms very tasty. There is an hourly bus service from the village back to the site but last bus is just after 6pm. Buses from the site also go to Ilfracombe and Barnstaple. There is a nice coastal walk to the Grampus Inn, in the village of Lee which does nice food and has its own micro-brewery however its a steep walk back. It's also possible to walk to Ilfracombe and catch the bus back.

A superb location with fantastic views across the water to Wales. Immaculately maintained with very level hardstanding pitches, some with their own water tap and waste point. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very dog-friendly site with good sized dog exercise paddocks with bins. Access to the coast path and footpaths to the village is direct from the site.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Damage Barton, North Devon. Lovely, clean, well-kept and peaceful site. Great views across the Bristol Channel and on a clear day you can see Wales. Can be a bit windy though.
Coming from East Anglia found the North Devon roads very hilly and challenging sometimes. On our way to the campsite, we came across a double decker bus going in the opposite direction! Luckily my lorry driving hubby managed to reverse and let it through.
Friendly welcome on arrival in reception with lots of advice/leaflets on things to do around the area.
On site shop very friendly with some lovely homemade items for sale, although it did change its opening times the second week we were there for some reason, shutting for about 3 hours during the middle of the day.
Top shower/toilet block always clean, plenty of hot water (not on a timer). New shower block in the process of being built with a scheduled opening of March 2017. Didn’t use the lower shower block myself so unable to comment. Hubby used this one and said it was very clean as well.
Don’t have a dog, but there seemed to be plenty of dog walking fields on the site.
Wifi available but only by the shop, although we found 3/4g available on site. TV reception very good.
Fish and Chip van on a Monday evening. Only tried this once, tasted much better in Ilfracombe.
Bus stop right outside the site, which is very handy for Woolacombe/ Morthoe/Ilfracoombe as these places can get very busy with high car park charges, the bus was cheaper.
Cooks Island restaurant does a good carvery every evening which is only 2 miles up the road.
Loads of walking around the area, loads of public footpaths, but not very good on the roads as most don’t have a footpath.
Would return to this campsite.

Just returned after 6 years since last staying at this site. Had a lovely large pitch overlooking the sea and across to Wales. This is a lovely site with excellent facilities. We did, however, feel that the reception we received on arrival could have been better. The weather was rather inclement but it didn't stop us from doing some wonderful walks. The Boardwalk in Woolacombe serves excellent food and the cream teas in the NT Tea Roons in Morthoe are a must.

Just stayed for 2 nights in a tent with electric hook up we had a sheltered pitch beside the hedge with amazing views across fields and to the coast. The site was immaculately kept. The toilets and shower block spacious and warm. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There are so many walks you can do from the site, you could quite happily not need to drive anywhere we got some leaflets for walks from reception and did the circular walk to Lee which was lovely.
The site is pretty central for Woolacommbe and Ilfracombe
The dog walk has amazing views and the site is ideal for walking the dogs. The only very small niggle was the distance from our pitch to the toilet block but the view on the walk back certainly helped to compensate for that.
We can't wait to go back

Stayed here for 2 wks holiday June/July. Have been before numerous times and it is one of our favourite places. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the site grounds are very well kept, the showers/toilet facilities are kept extremely clean. The shop is one of the best we have been to with Adrian not being able to do enough for you and his extensive range of crocs! We always come away with another new pair. This year my daughter and her partner broke down in their van and Adrian came to the rescue by bringing them some water when he went home for lunch, thanks to Adrian. A curry down at Barricane beach is a must. It was after a lovely hot evening after a curry night my daughter and partner got engaged after he popped the question. There is a chip van that visits the site on Mondays which is better than the chippy in Mortehoe in my opinion. The Chichester Arms in Mortehoe do a very good meal and is well worth a visit. The site is very open so be prepared for very windy weather but the views over the sea to Wales makes up for it. If you like leaving your car on site and do a lot of walking this is a site for you, you will not be disappointed.

This is one of the best sites we have visited. The pitches are spacious and well planned and the facilities as everyone has already said are great. The views are spectacular. We only stayed for 2 nights and left wishing that we were staying longer. We will definitely return and stay much longer on our next tour of Devon and Cornwall.

We arrived in rain and very low cloud and were booked in very efficiently. The pitch (Caravan and Camping Members pitch)we had was so level we were set up in minutes, just as well due to the weather! The low cloud soon lifted and we were very pleased with the view from the caravan. The campsite slopes down and you can see the sea (obviously with tents and caravans in the way). The campsite is spotlessly clean and everything is very well laid out. There is a new shower block half way down the site which also has a wet-room so fab for wetsuits and like. The shower block at the top of the site (where the Caravan and Camping Members pitches are) is due to be refurbished later this year.
There is a security barrier and you are given a sticker to go in your car and has the entrance number on the back. The shop is the best I've ever come across, selling everything from fresh and local produce (the local sausages were fab), fresh bread, croissants, lardy cakes, varies maps, hot pizzas in the evening, magazines, papers, ice cream, scones, everyday essentials, gifts (I purchased a fluffy toy sheep!), DAMAGE hoodies (the kids had one each!), beach toys, body boards and a vast selection of must-have Crocs! The family that run the shop are lovely and really friendly.
A fish and chip van come once a week and was very tasty. The bus stop is right outside the campsite.
The staff are friendly and keep the site immaculate, the pitches are racked when people depart and the grass edges are trimmed ready for the new arrivals. There is a large playing field for the kids in the middle of the site.
There are various golf courses all within a 5 mile radius and I sent the Hubby out a couple of times to stop him getting under my feet!
The walks from the site are amazing, we brought a map from the shop (number 7 I think). The costal path is one you must try and do if possible, it can be a bit steep in places but the view at the top is worth it.
There is a little dog walking path just at the bottom of the site and a dog paddock at the entrance of the campsite although if you have a dog you will want to go further and explore!
Due to the location of the campsite it is very open and if the wind picks up then you will know about it but that's what you should expect being by the coast.
We loved it here and it's certainly on our list for next year but we will stay longer next time.

Visited again as do many others, because it is so scenic and pleasant, with friendly and helpful owners. Never mind the wind, that is just fresh sea air! Great walking and a super little shop that has all you will need (especially the pasties!) The showers and toilet block immaculate as ever. Great easy walk to Morte Hoe for good food in the Chichester Arms. Will be back for more.

I don't think we could have picked windier weather if we had tried! BUT we still really enjoyed it and loved the site. Not many units on site, we had a nice quiet corner at the back of site all to ourselves.
The owners/staff are all very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Good on site dog walk (but dogs do have to be kept on a lead). 2 shower blocks, one new and very up market, the other older, but clean. Onsite shop, selling most basics and bread to order. No longer do newspapers.
Good walks from site, we walked into Mortehoe which is a lovely little village, 3 pubs to choose from for lunch.
Stunning views from site and we will definitely be back, hopefully with a bit better weather!
