This was a very well kept site and could not fault the cleanliness of the toilet and shower blocks. The weather was very kind to us being the very beginning of September. The buses stop just outside the site and with a concessionary card there was no need to use the car at all which is a godsend with the surrounding roads being so narrow.

This site is lovely
The views are spectacular
The facilities are clean
I cannot praise the staff highly enough nothing was too much trouble. They were knowledgeable about the area and what was suitable for our party of 5 inc a pensioner a disabled young man and a 2 year old
The shop on site is well stocked the pasties are fab as are the crossaints and pizzas
I would say this is probably the best site we have ever stayed on.
Thank you all

Just returned from a 13 night stay.
Upon our arrival, it was the most professional welcome of all sites we have visited. Our pitch had been well prepared and was near to the dog walking area, which suited us, however some distance from the nearest toilet/washroom. My only criticism is that there is only 2 toilet/washrooms and being a large site can lead to some waiting to use the facilities.
Everything about the site from staff to facilities is excellent. The views were beautiful across the Bristol Channel towards Wales.
We had a fantastic holiday, some great walks, great weather, great food, what more can you want.
Well done and thank you to all the staff at Damage Barton.

Lovely site with great views across the Bristol Channel for nearly all pitches.
Facilities were great, very clean and although the site was busy we didn't have to queue at any time.
The staff were very friendly - the receptionist recommended a day out to Lynton and Lynmouth which was lovely.
The village is about a miles walk and there are plenty of choices for food and drink.

The surrounding area is lovely we enjoy the coastal walks from the site and the fantastic choice of beaches. There is always something to do no matter what the weather. The playing field is excellent for ball games and the dog walk areas are ideal.
The site is very well groomed, perhaps a little too much at times as the pea gravel is frantically raked as soon as your neighbour leaves.
The toilet block is really inviting however the showers suffer from lack of pressure and are often only a dribble.

A really great touring park. Good sea views and majority of pitches are level and because the site is terraced nothing blocks your view of the sea.
Toilet/shower is clean and modern and well maintained. The staff are all extremely helpful, polite and friendly.
Some really good walks along the cliff paths to Woolacombe in one direction and Ilfracombe in the other direction. We have
Already booked for our next visit.

We stayed at this site for a couple of nights at half term it was their last week of the season, but this made no difference to the quality of the camp. Every pitch has fabulous views out to sea.
If there is one down side for some visitors there is no play equipment for children, but there is a large play area where dogs are banned and loads of room for games, although this was no problem for us we only have a dog and enjoy peaceful times.
Now the plus points, the toilets are modern, clean and warm. The shop sells a very good range of ready cooked meals (pizzas, pasties etc. )a large range of holiday goods and groceries, including newspapers.
The motorhome water fill and waste drain point is the best I've seen.
Access to the coast path is easy and well the the effort, the views are stunning.
Will we return hope so!

My husband and I stayed here for one Sunday night in September. Unfortunately, the weather was appalling, with high winds and heavy squally outbreaks of rain, so we were fairly confined to our vehicle and couldn't explore much of the surrounding area. However, we have toured extensively round Europe so think we are fair judges of a decent campsite.
There is a large reception/office in which we were pleasantly and efficiently received and directed to our pitch, which was of a high standard, level hard-standing with hook-up (although no water).
There is a very decent shop on site, staffed by a cheerful chap with a sense of humour, which sold all the basics.
The facilities here are certainly the best I have seen in this country, and probably in the top 5 of any in Europe. The shower/toilet block was immaculately clean and very spacious, each shower room giving plenty of space for a comfortable experience (proper doors, no nasty shower curtains, plenty of hot water). Toilets were roomy, super-clean and well supplied.
When the sun occasionally came out, the view over the Bristol Channel was superb.
Being so high and exposed (hardly a tree to be seen) means that satellite TV reception is excellent, and we got tuned in almost immediately.
There is a bus service, but it doesn't run on Sundays, so we weren't able to test it out, and the weather was too bad to walk anywhere.
This site is very exposed, and therefore very windy, probably always. This is probably not suitable if you have young children, or if you are looking for a sheltered spot.

So, I called the site the day before, on spec to see if they'd got a vacancy. Despite the fact that I was travelling alone and they'd have made much more by selling to a family, the site found me a spot. When I arrived, the booking in process was very efficient. I got the last vacant pitch on the site, unpromisingly right next to the shop, reception and the entry barrier. Despite this, my pitch was quiet as the grave after about 7/8pm. And the sunsets over the sea! The shop was okay (there's a better one at the big site up the road) but the bathrooms were first class, even under the pressure of a full site in high summer. The location is ideal for walkers - I filled a week just walking from the site. Highly recommended!

We stayed near the hedgerow in the caravan club part of the site. The pitch was just big enough for our unit length wise and with our awning up there was not quite the room to put our car on the remainder of the hard standing.
Having the fresh water and waste water on the pitch was a bonus.
FANTASTIC views. Only had one 24 hrs period of solid rain which caused a minor collection of water on our pitch as soon as the rain stopped the pooled water was gone. Rest of the time of our weeks stay it was dry sunny and light breeze.
The nearby shower block is showing its age compared to the newer bigger one. It was however very clean all the times I used it and perfectly functional.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
We will be coming back.
