This was our 2nd visit to Budemeadows and we were not let down!
We had 2 adjacent pitches (as we did the lst time), but this time we had our new dog with us!
Campsite and all it's amenities were as good as the previous year, all areas are kept exceptionally clean - including the pool area.
The site was a little more lively than the previous year, but it was still clean etc and not too noisy.
Grumpy Pete's was better than ever - meal/drink deal, which we had on more than 1 occasion.
Food available from the little trailer was brilliant and good value for money - the little supermarket was also well stocked and not overly priced.
My sister's children made lots of friends and thoroughly enjoyed playing the outside chess and on the playground.
The surrounding area is lovely - Widemouth Bay is close by as is the town of Bude. We also travelled to Newquay and Padstow. Padstow is a beautifully place to visit, and we visited the famous Rick Stein for Fish and Chips - they were amazing, even after queuing for 45 minutes!
We will definitely be visiting Budemeadows again.

This campsite is fantastic. We booked a pitch at the side of the park so we could watch the kids play. On arriving we were shown to the pitch and told where all the amenities were and the short cuts!
All the staff at the park were wonderfully helpful and pleasant. They work so hard to keep the site as beautiful and clean as it is.
The showers and toilets were spotless. The grass kept trimmed and the bin areas were smell free.
We had the best holiday as a family we have ever had. I can not recommend this campsite highly enough, we will be returning. Any camp site we stay at now has a lot to live up too!
Our kids loved the pool and the ability to play safely around the camp site. We as parents, had no worries at all about the safety of the children which made for a more relaxed Mum and Dad.
The local beers in the pub are well worth a try we tried most of them and brought a couple home.
The shop is reasonably priced and with a supermarket close by we didn't have to go far to get the things we needed. We toured a few local attractions and were amazed by the area. Its friendly welcome and white sand beaches. Widemouth bay is the closest beach and is more of a coarse sand but is fantastic for surfers and rock poolers. Padstow is just beautiful. It is Mediterranean in its beauty. I could go on and on. We are definitely returning to Cornwall next year, a little further south but we will be back to Budemeadws in the not too distant future.
Thank you once again to all the staff at Budemeadows for your hard work to provide families with a fantastic camp site.

We had a lovely short break here. The site is well planned and well maintained. The owners / staff are all very pleasant and helpful. This was only our second trip away in the caravan so still very much novices.
The facilities are all very clean and there is plenty of hot water.
The weather was lovely so we made good use of the swimming pool which was lovely and warm. The children also enjoyed the play area.
It is an excellent base to visit so many places, even though we were only an hour from home.
I like the idea that the site has quiet time from 11pm to 7am giving everyone chance for a good nights sleep - except when the neighbours decide to pack up and leave at 6am and wake everyone else up in the process - BUT this was not the sites fault.
We had a lovely stay and look forward to a return visit next summer.

First time visiting this site and I was very impressed. We went with 2 young children (8 and 10) and it was perfect for them. The park was a really good size with football nets, zip wire and good climbing equipment.
The pool was heated and never seemed to be too busy. There was a bar which we didn't visit (we took our own wine!) but it seemed very nice and no noisy club house in site.
It was the perfect site for a family who wants a little bit of freedom for the children, but no noisy teenagers hanging around after dark. The showers were always clean and hot.
My only criticism would be that the sinks are in the actual toilets so quite often it was a wait for the loo as people were cleaning their teeth or washing in the toilets.
A few toilets on their own would be good.

This is our second visit to budemeadows, having spent 9 nights here over the same period last year.
We love the site. There are plenty of activities for the kids, the pool is super warm, and the play area safe and enclosed.
The toilets are warm, clean and can get a little busy but no more so than anywhere else in peak season. They aren't the most modern facilities around with a beach hut feel, but are always freshly decorated and not at all below standard.
The pitches are really large, easily fitted our long van onto one of the super pitches. However be aware when booking some of the super pitches are a little tricky to access with a twin axle, and a mover makes the job easier. However if you let the wardens(v friendly) know that you have a larger van the will allocate a suitable pitch.
On arrival we were walked to our pitch and reversed on by the warden. Then a nice cold take away beer, from the bar, when setting up made the procedure a while lot better.
The little takeaway van is good for meals and snacks, though there can be a bit of a wait, giving a good excuse for a beer and a game of table tennis or skittles in the games area.
The beach at widemouth bay is excellent and only a couple of minutes drive away and there are 2 good sized supermarkets in bude.
There is a little road noise at the top of the site, but to be honest my parter is very noise sensitive and hasn't noticed and I've only just picked it up sitting in a quiet awning writing this.
Would we return? Many people say they will but we actually have, and probably will again next year.
Would we recommend it to a friend. Oh yes, most certainly.

Just returned from a five night stay at this site, very impressed. We have an 8 berth tunnel tent and our pitch was more than big enough. Toilets, showers, and washing up facilities very clean, sometimes you had to wait but it is high season. The pool was very nice and warm even when it was raining!.
The shop is quite small but crammed with everything you need even those essential camping requirements, there are ample play areas for the younger ones.
The owners were very friendly with sensible rules for the site. There is a bar (Grumpy Pete's) which we did not use so can't comment and a takeaway which was excellent with all food cooked to order.
Despite the large number of children on the site all was quiet after 11pm. Would recommend this site and would definitely return. Just watch out for the charge of £2 per night if you 'choose your pitch'.

Spent a week at this site, pitches are a good size playground very good for the kids facilities are dated but clean. Pool area looked good. Have been at this site before and was disappointed with the bar this time, we didn't find the staff where very friendly, they seem to do just enough for there job and that's it. Very boring. The location to Bude is very good, and Bude is a lovely town, the beaches are great. Widemouth bay is good for surfing.

Stopped on campsite for one week end of May beginning of June. Really friendly and helpful staff.
They have a small shop, which provides the basics for a comfortable stay.
Campsite is spotless and quiet in the evening, even though there were a lot of young children with it being school half term.
The swimming is one of the warmest i`ve used, which was great for the time of year we stayed.
We have a Trigano Olympe TT, which is quite big, but the pitch was large enough to accommodate it and we even got the Gazebo up.
Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Very good site and would recommend. The pool was excellent, especially for an early swim as we did. Toilet block was clean and well maintained. Ideal to visit sites of Cornwall.
Widemouth Bay 10 mins away, where there is a beautiful cliff top walk into Bude.
Our pitch was on a bit of a slope, but staff were very helpful and gave us blocks to level our van. Grounds were well maintained.
Pool table and table tennis was very welcome as our chiid was too old for very good children's play area.
Would gladly return to Budemeadows.

I stayed for a long weekend, the site is clean and tidy, with well marked out pitch areas.
On site the facilities are quite good, with a small shop, bar, heated outdoor pool, kids play area. There are even small brick built BBQ area's dotted around the site.
The toilet and shower block is kept clean and tidy.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite us arriving very late on a Friday night (10pm!).
A short drive down the hill from the site and your in Bude, so the site provides a great base for visiting North Cornwall.
