Well I really don't see much point in leaving my review because everyone has already said it all! We have just enjoyed 10 marvellous days at what is a lovely site. We were shown to our pitch personally on arrival, much nicer than being given a diagram and pointed in the right direction. All the staff were very friendly, and the site is spotlessly clean. Our party was 2 adults and 4 children (2 x 14yrs and 2 x 11yrs) no one was bored, there is plenty to do, they loved the giant chess and the table tennis, not to mention the swimming pool which was lovely and warm. We had car trouble and were without a car for 2 days, no problems here though - we had a great day in the pool etc. One of the owners very kindly offered to get us some shopping whilst she was at Morrisons as we couldn't get there. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty! Would I go back - without a doubt - highly recommended and a definite ten out of ten!

We received excellent service from prior to booking our pitch at Budemeadows through to departure. As we have a large twin axle caravan we checked on pitch sizes before reserving. The staff very efficiently advised us of all the available pitch numbers that our caravan would fit onto so we were able to select from the site plan. There was a small fee for reserving specific pitches but it was well worth it. On arrival check in was quick & we were shown personally to our pitch. The site was immaculate, with pitch boundaries clearly marked. Pitches were large & in the top fiels level. Lower field sloped. Staff were always visibly busy emptying bins & maintaining grounds & facilities. The ground was still very soft in places due to recent wet weather but the site provided timber decking strips to cover any soft spots & sharp sand. The toilet/showers were always very clean with plentiful hot water & we never had to queue. The Takeaway was very reasonable with daily specials on offer & there was a small bar with both in & outdoor seating areas. The pool was very warm & regularly policed by staff to ensure that safety rules were complied with. Very family friendly site & also for dogs. Though no designated dog walk on site there is a public footpath just along from the site & fantastic beach & cliff walks a mile away. Bude & the surrounding area offer lots to do even if the weather isn't as good as we had! All in all a very clean, relaxing touring park.

Recently returned from a superb 2 weeks at Bude Meadows and would highly recommend this site to any touring/camping visitors to North Cornwall.
We all liked it so much we booked again for another 2 weeks next year. (Even our 12 year old daughter was happy - helped along by the heated outdoor pool, pool/games room and “Grumpy Pete’s” bar/board games/Internet room).
The pitch sizes were good and the electric hook up superb (16amp all round). The toilet blocks and washing up facilities were always clean and have plenty of character (they’re not just prefab buildings in the middle of the site). There are plenty of water/grey waste points around the site but you’re best off using chemical toilet disposal point for your grey waste for ease of use.
The local beach is fantastic and only a mile away (Widemouth Bay). Dogs are allowed on the South beach (which was the quieter beach). Whether on the North or South, the beaches were superb with plenty to do. Great sand, rock pools, shallow pools and superb waves for boarding.
The staff were always helpful and managed to act ‘over and above the call of duty’ on more than one occasion. They made us feel as if we’d known them for years and were part of their extended family. Simply brilliant!

This was our first visit to both Cornwall and to Budemeadows. We had a really enjoyable and relaxing week. The site had a friendly atmosphere about it and we spent many hours relaxing around the pool! The children enjoyed all the facilities the site had. Playground, games room, swimming pool and just riding their bikes around. The facilities were good and clean and the family bathroom was ideal for washing my two sons at the end of the day. 'Grumpy Petes' bar was far from that and the lounge area was well used by us as were all the board games that were available. We will definitely be making a return visit to Budemeadows.

Just returned from this site and found it one of the better sites we've visited. We have a large pitch plenty of room for our large tent and the car.The pool was warm, put could get crowded on occasions. This site had a small stocked shop,a take away service and a small but friendly family bar. There were only 2 showers in the mens block but 3 unisex showers by the pool area,i only had to wait once for a shower, not bad for a six night stay. My 3 children really enjoyed themselves spending at least 2 hours in the pool in the morning and evening and made good use of the games area. We booked in january so if you are after a certain spot then book early.I would defnately use this site again as it was child friendly.

I need to set a backdrop before I begin this review. As we know, the summer of 2007 was a total washout & conditions on-site as we arrived were very poor. The pitches were very waterlogged and soon turned into a very muddy swamp. On the plus side :- The site its self is very pleasant with good size pitches (our diablo 600 had plenty of room). The pool was surprisingly big and warm and kept the kids very happy. A well stocked shop and very friendly staff all round. Its location is great! only a few miles from Bude, but the real gem is the one mile away, widemouth bay. A great clean beach for surfing, swimming and BBQ's The down side There are only 2 showers in the mens and 2 in the ladies on the lower field toilet block and the lack of communal sinks led to long queues for shaving and brushin yer teeth. i would give budemeadows a 7/10. To be fair to the management, it was a very difficult situation with all the rain and waterlogged pitches, they really did try to manage the situation using sand & giving out duckboards when they could. We would definitely return to budemeadows in future.

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at Budemeadows. The staff were so helpful and friendly, they really went out of their way for you. The showers and toilets were immaculate with hot water and we never had to queue. There was a cafe on site which was run by a delightful American lady who cooked tasty food which was reasonably priced. She fully catered for vegetarians. Grumpy Petes bar was great for a nightcap (or two!). The swimming pool was a luxury we were not expecting. I would visit this site again and again, it's fantastic for children with all the play facilities and great for adults who want to unwind.

This was our first visit to Bude Meadows which is a very clean, tidy and well kept site. When we arrived for our seven night stay we were allocated a pitch that was far too small for our 21' caravan and the only other vacant pitch was only available for four nights. We were offered a grass pitch on the bottom field for the remaining time but due to the amount of rain this summer the ground was too soft, so we left after four nights. The main Shower/toilet block was always clean but could do with a makeover as it is looking a bit dated now. The grey water disposal points are very awkward to use with a wastehog and are very slow to drain. The site is under new ownership this season and the management have a lot to learn about customer relations if they are to maintain the success of this site. If you're looking for surfing lessons we would recommend Outdoor Adventure very keen and enthusiastic instructors catering for all ages and abilities.

Spent a fantastic 2 weeks at this great site. Site is nicely laid out with plenty of room on the pitches. We were on the bottom field next to the toilet block which did get a bit smelly when the tanks were due for emptying so avoid it down there if you can! There was loads to keep the children occupied & being a family site they made plenty of friends. The swimming pool was always lovely & warm even on chillier days. There was a good play area & a small games room & some outdoor games such as table tennis as well. There was a small take away on site & a little bar with board games to use. Also there was a small shop selling essentials. My only gripe with the site is that the toilet block on the bottom field was too small. There were 3 toilets but they were contained inside wash cubicles so if ladies were having a wash in the mornings you couldn`t get to use the toilet! Having said that there is a larger toilet block in the top field & I think I would specifically ask to be pitched in that field if I went again. It was very easy to get down to the beach about 1 mile away & also into Bude which has a nice beach. We had a great day out at Tintagel castle & there is lovely beach at Crackington Haven. The waves were fantastic & our children loved to body board.Keep a close eye on the kids in the sea though as the beaches around here are quite dangerous. All in all a great site & a good holiday. If we go back to this area we would definitely camp here again.

Just got back from visiting this excellent site showers plenty of space and lashings of hot water always clean, the pool at times was hot enough to be a bath tub! good wash areas, only complaint that the tumble dryers at 50p per ten minute were a pain and would pay more for longer dry times 10 mins for towels was not long enough and we had to keep hanging around to feed the dryer. The pitches were large and flat and all have electric if required, a busy site with lots of kids and if pitching would recommend choosing a pitch away from the park and games room as these did get a bit noisy during the early evenings but as a rule camp was quiet come 10/11pm would go back agian
