 Nice little basic site.

Need levels though.

Will be visiting again sometime in the future.

Nice walks in the area and some nice pubs. With nice food.

This is the second time we have stayed here - it is perfect for our trips to the Peak District.

Within walking distance of some fab pubs for tea and some beautiful walks and scenery.

Basic toilets and showers - all you need if you are keen walkers. Friendly owners,

We will be back.

Greeted by a friendly owner in a Beautiful location.

Only downside was the toilet and shower block that was a bit antiquated and needed a good clean and a new shower curtain.

Having said that, for £20 a night we would probably go back.

A nice site with adequate facilities, also a good setting with plenty of walks.

Easy to book and the owner responds normally the same day.

Never noticed it being noisy.

We were given pride of place on the Motorhome pitches, we were given a telling off as we didn’t follow Richards instructions we used sat nav.

We really enjoyed the campsite and location, nearby amenities great posh Spar coffee place 3 pubs great eating house.

Wonderful walks and runs would definitely go again.

The facilities are what they are toilets and showers they do the job

We found Stocking farm by accident whilst out walking and this is our 2nd stay

Owner was friendly and chatty and gave us a choice of where to pitch as it wasn’t too busy.

Facilities are limited, don’t expect 5*, 1 shower/2 toilets each for ladies/gents, but was adequate for our needs. Showers run on 20p.

Stunning views on gently sloping pitches.

Great access to walks in all directions.

A pub located within a few minutes walk.

We enjoyed our stay and will return.

First time here. Brilliant place. Great location.

The Owner couldn't be more helpful. Helped us park up and advised on where the sun rises/sets so we were in a good position. Showed us all the site amenities then mowed our pitch before we parked.

Yes it's basic but it's camping.

Will definitely be coming back again.

We booked this site as we knew we wanted to be in or around Bakewell, and this location is absolutely superb. It's a narrow drive in with the caravan off the main road, so I was glad I scouted it on Google Maps the night before, as there's no signage giving you comfort you're in the right place!

Once we pulled up we had the pick of the field, surprising considering it was the height of August, but great as the kids had the run of the place. It did get busier at weekends, mainly with campervans and a couple of tents. The ony other caravans that were there seemed to be seasonals.

The location is brilliant. A 10 min drive from Bakewell and about 15 mins to Chatsworth. The local pub is a short walk and the food was excellent. There are a couple of local supermarkets as well. We didn't try the local cafe, but it also looked very good.

The site is very reasonable in price, which surprised me considering the location. The facilities are pretty basic. There are male and female toilets and showers (20p a go) but they aren't the best kept, although they were clean. None of what you would expect from a Club site, but then this is far cheaper. It could do with an upgrade for sure.

However if location is paramount and you're not fussed about staying in relative luxury, then value for money you'll be hard pressed to beat this site.

A rather odd site which we liked. Strangely enough for August, once a few weekenders had gone, we were the only people there. Richard the owner gave us a very odd but ok welcome.

We had to go next to the old schoolhouse and he provided an ehu link so that we could get satellite tv, despite his insistence that "all those caravans can get it". These are the permanently sited tourers that don't even have ehu!

We were charged £20 per night which we knew about, but it's a bit much really. There are a couple of local shops and fuel just up the main road.

The best things are Curbar Edge, especially with the heather and the great view, and the walks along the river.

Site is in a great location. Near to beautiful walking country, shops, restaurants and pubs. The views of Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt edge are wonderful.

Quite a lot of the site is level, but on some of it you'll need levelling chocs if in a campervan / motorhome.

Negatives are the toilet/shower blocks which are dated and just dirty, it seemed that other site users left the facilities in this way.

A bit of upgrading to these would make a massive difference. For some reason there was a political flag flying in the grounds of the site manager which I didn't particularly like, but that's their choice.

A sign at the end of the driveway would be helpful to locate the entrance.
