The campsite was in a great location, we loved walking to the bridge and jumping into the river.
Lucky with lots of space to play family games.
Toilet/shower facilities clean but basic.

The site was perfect for us. Two night with three days of mountain biking. There is no shortage of MTB routes in the locality.
The site is small and quiet, the toilet blocks were clean once look through the rustic breeze block finish. 20p for a shower seemed reasonable as the pitch fee is good value.
There is also a circular river walk adjacent to the site. If you’re after an escape and simplicity then go here.
I would return.

Very nice little camspite. Easy to find. Owner ensured everyone was well-spaced.
Functional facilities but be sure to turn on the shower coinmeter (by pull-cord) before inserting your 20p (6mins)!
Bitten to death with midges but I get that everywhere I go!

Very positive experience, the owner was accommodating to our situation.
The toilets are clean and showers were very comfortably warm, but you will need a 20p coin for 6 minutes of hot shower time.
There is also a tap out the side of the toilet/shower block which can be used to clean your cooking wares.
Also very close to horseshoe quarry (less than 10 minutes by car), and near a well stocked spar and Co-op.

There are stunning views and amazing walks right on the doorstep. It is a clean site and has a very friendly and helpful owner.
It is ideally located for visiting Sheffield or all that the Peak District has to offer.
We will be coming back.

Very nice little site set in a picturesque location with coffee shop & pub just a short walk away.
Male & female toilets with 1 shower each, very basic but does the job & is cleaned daily.
Will be returning to this site again.

A small quiet site in a lovely location.
The facilities are basic but fine. Easy walk to pubs and a good local Spa shop.
Good base for climbing at Curbar Edge, etc.

Great welcome from Richard which included a lot of local information and history about the farm site and surrounding area.
Fantastic location with wonderful views and walks straight from the site. Close to cafe, gift shop and pub all well worth a visit.
Loos And showers a bit on the basic side but adequate. A bit pricy given the facilities but the location justifies this.
We had the site almost to ourselves which was an added bonus.

We arrived at 10am in the morning. We knocked on the door, no answer. So I phoned the number. He was rude on the phone. And then when he came out he came right up to our window (no social distancing) and shouted at us so the other campers could here telling us we arrived too early. Then let us stay.
We later on spoke to a couple who knocked on the door got no answer and decided to pitch up. He wasn't happy about that either.
The location is fantastic. Great walks and pubs around the area.

A perfect quiet, sheltered, site with Curbar Edge as its backdrop. On our second visit within two weeks, we’ll definitely be back again.
The site is sheltered by trees and its setting, well drained ground and well kept short grass. We visited during a particularly wet spell that would test any site’s maintenance and were pleasantly surprised.
Sheep and cows grazing in neighbouring fields.
Facilities are basic and a little dated but fully functional and serve their purpose well. Owner on site, knowledgeable and helpful. Shops, garage and pubs within short walk.
An ideal site for campers with dogs, has a real community feel whilst being small and away from the road, pitches well spaced.
