Site is in a great location. Very quiet with excellent views of Curbar Edge.
Lots of footpaths and river walks including Hathersage, Curbar Edge, Froggatts Edge and Baslow.
Richard the owner was very helpful. Several good pubs within a mile.
Facilities were very basic and in need of modernising.

The site is in a brilliant position for exploring the area on foot-we walked to Hathersage, Eyam, Chatsworth and Frogatt Edge following some of the many footpaths around.
The facilities were basic but functioning and were fine for our needs. We never had to wait to use the shower. There is no dedicated washing up area although you could fill a washing up bowl with hot water and take it to your tent if necessary.
We took our dog with us and there were plenty of places to walk him locally.
The nearby pub served good food and the staff there were very friendly.
We had a brilliant stay, with excellent weather, and would recommend the site to anyone who enjoys camping!

Great little site, friendly owner and brilliant views.
Basic facilities but sufficient for a sweaty pair of climbers like us!
Will definitely return (when the good weather returns).

A lovely peaceful site. Owner very welcoming and helpful.
Thoroughly enjoyed all our walks in the surrounding countryside. Easy access to footpaths directly from the site.
Basic toilet facilities, very clean. Showers not allowed at the time of our stay because of Covid.
Very close to restaurant and shops.

Friendly site in a great location. Easy to find, greeted on arrival and shown where to pitch.
Other campers nice and friendly too and great walks straight from the campsite.

Beautifully situated site, close to Calver with pubs and cafes but no road noise.
Great for dog walks by the river. Grass pitch next to river.
Could do with more signs to instruct where water, reception, bins are etc.
