I have stopped at this site many times before and it's always been a lovely site very friendly with a welcoming atmosphere.

I stayed this weekend and was very very pleased with what work has been done the road leading up to the site has been resurfaced which was in desperate need! And driving into the site the toilet/shower block has been overhauled and brought up to date there is a little park which my 4year old loved and didn't want to come off.

The new owners have made more space's for caravans/motor homes all with electric hook up and there is wifi now but you do need to be near the office to be able to get a signal.

There is still some work happening and I'm looking forward to my next visit to see what else has been done.

Highly recommend this site to anybody child friendly and if you have pets there is plenty of countryside to walk them.

Great site good sized pitches with electric, plenty of water tap available around the site. Toilet/ shower block modern and very clean. Chemical toilet waste disposal in cabin on it's own waste water is down a drain covered by a slab needs to be improved as could be a problem if women only campers are there, but the very friendly camp owners would help in such cases. Great location for visiting Sherwood forest, ruford abbey, Clumber park and only 30 minute drive to the centre of Nottingham. Bilsthorpe village is a 20 minute walk away on a public footpath great for dog walking as the local pub is dog friendly. On arrival don't be put off by access road it is through a small industrial estate an appears narrow but it is fine and the campsite is well worth a visit

Having stayed at Robin Hood Retreat before, we were absolutely speechless on arrival this year to see all the hard work the new owners have done to update this lovely campsite retreat. The toilet & shower block have been overhauled and even has music while you shower or have a tinkle ! The lane leading up to the site has been resurfaced so no potholes to consider anymore, they were in the midst of expanding the site during our stay and this new area will be quite spectacular with the laurel hedges in between pitches and stunning views over the countryside.

Can't wait for our next visit !

Great stay for our long weekend in May. The owners are doing a great job making this a very nice site. They are still improving which will make it even better.

The site wardens are so friendly and helpful, I wish all sites were ran this way.

I can recommend a visit, and we are hoping to visit their other site Orchard Park soon.

Booked here last minute for the bank holiday weekend previously stayed in 2012 and it was good.

But the new owners have really stepped it up a gear and are making a fantastic job of upgrading.

Do not be put off by the single track road as there is a little oasis of peace and quiet at the end of it.

Can't wait to go back and see all the hard work completed

Robin Hood Retreat was the first site we visited when we brought our caravan. Can't keep away now. The host Jo and Mary and amazing like family along with Gary and Sue who look after us always. The site is very clean quite and the facilities are always clean.

We are looking forward to spending our first caravan christmas with our caravan family. Fun times ahead. Come and join us and share a cooked christmas dinner and fun and games.

Just returned from a super weekend. It's the first time we've stopped here, but from the minute we pulled up to the minute we left nothing was to much trouble. Lovely children's play area. Toilets and showers are spotless and not the push button type. Proper bar showers. Perfect base for if your going out and about around the local area. Also the pub in the village is fantastic.

 Absolute Gem !

Cannot recommend highly enough this beautiful peaceful Site

Good sized pitches on gravel with electric hook up

Easy access to everything

We were greeted with smiles and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay

The shower block. Wow ! Boiling hot showers, very very clean and kept clean regularly

An absolute must to visit. Central to so many places and we will be visiting again in the near future

We visited Wheelgate and there are many attractions close by

Our 5 year old loved the playground and met new friends daily, he loved it so therefore happy parents 😀

The owners are working so hard with daily improvements and they deserve credit for all they are achieving. Wish you every success see you soon

We have just spent a long weekend at this site, the views are beautiful and the site is great. The pitches are individually hedged, therefore offering complete privacy. The site has recently changed hands and work is in progress, but this did not interfere with our stay. The shower block has been updated and even has piped radio; so nice to re-acquaint with some golden oldies! It's a really nice touch. The owners are really welcoming and recommended a great local pub were you can eat. (The Copper Beech). It also has a play area for children. I would recommend it for all age groups. The roads leading to this 'up-hill' site have been well maintained, so access is no problem at all.
