The view from the campsite is pretty amazing, it is just a shame that motorhomes have all the front-row pitches, tents pitches being on the small hill behind. The view remains great, but with motorhomes on the foreground. We discovered too late that there is a 'hidden' tent pitch in a small basin ahead of the motorhomes.
The toilet/shower block is almost perfect. I just regret the shower water being too hot, and each time we came in some random water taps were stuck letting water flow.
Dish-washing room if perfect. There is also a washing-machine and a dryer.
We would enjoy coming back.

After tour of outer Hebrides stayed here for couple of nights. Steep sharp entrance road with right turn at top, sign advised 1st gear and it needs it! Well organised, gravel pitches with decent amount of turning room, good views over estuary. Near to Dunvegan Castle and about 20miles from Portree. Shower block of reasonable size- 4 ladies showers, may get busy if site was full. Showers clean and tidy but push button type so have to keep pressing button, water temperature for me was just warm. Not the hottest of days but still bitten by midges so go prepared. Close to local shops and cafes- 10 mins walk or so.
Wi-Fi is pay by use with Highland Wi-Fi but connection is good

What a fantastic site right on the shore line on the outskirts of Dunvegan We had an electric hook up with the water only a few feet away from us at high tide, the weather during our stay was superb also making our stay all that more enjoyable. The toilet and shower block is fairly new and is the highest level of cleanliness which we could not fault. Dunvegan village is a 10 minute walk away and a couple of good shops and two Fish & Chip shops we sampled some from the bakery Shop reputed to be the oldest bakery in Skye and well recommended. Dunvegan castle and grounds are 3 miles away and worth a visit we walked. Finally take hike up the hill just outside the village and you will be treated to a superb view.

Wonderful site. Friendly helpful owners. Parked next to the beach and watched tides and sunsets! Great for walks and cycling to Gatehouse of Fleet. This is such an interesting and up spoilt part of the world and was our first venture with our motorhome to Scotland. Recommend the lower field for closeness to the beach. Clean showers and loos accessible to both levels. This site has a good atmosphere- not too formal or regimented as some we found further into our trip but with enough facilities to make it comfortable. We will go again.

Lovely relaxed site right on the waters edge. Toilets/showers looked excellent although we don't tend to use them often. The walk to the village is about 20 mins but nice enough. Dunvegan Castle 10 minute drive. I wont bother to list all the wildlife spotted but the visit was worth it just to see a pair of white tailed eagles which apparently are regulars. If peace and quiet is what you want then this is the place.

Hi,
I have visited three different camping site in Isle of Skye. I found this camping site was the best one. I would refer the camping site on the following reasons:
1. Good View from Camp Site.
2. There is petrol station near from the Camp site.
3. Dunvegan Castle.
4. Good for fishing.
5. Friendly staffs.
6. Larger estate.
It was fantastic camping site.

A nice quiet campsite with a superb new shower block. We had pitch 1 with electric hook up facing the loch. The site had a lot of gravel hardstandings making part of it look a bit like a car park, but our pitch was near the tent camping area and we faced away from the rest of the site so it wasn't too bad.
I spoke to 2 different people in the reception at different times who were both helpful and informative and one even phoned the local cafe who did a small takeaway service, for me, to see if they were still open (they weren't, so it was soup again!).
We only stayed one night so did not use any facilities in the local area.
I would stay here again when we next come to Skye.

Just back from a 4 night stay which was booked well in advance. The campsite had good facilities with great views on to the loch. Surrounding area was good with great bakery and a cake shop to die for.
Our problem was with our pitch number 6 and the pools of water under our awning which meant we could not use during our stay. Spoke to the warden twice about this and all he could say was the weather was the worst he had seen. The weather was bad with heavy rain and winds but I have experienced this before without being flooded. The ground we knew was hard as if putting awning up you are advised steel pegs but something needs to be done to improve drainage.
A long way to go to be disappointed.

Nice site located by the loch. We turned up without booking with no problem.
Toilets and shower block was excellent as were the servicing points for chemical toilet/grey water/laundry etc.
Some of the motor home parking with hook up looked a bit car park like, but we didn't need hook up so parked at the end of the site where it was nice and quiet.

We enjoyed our first two night stay so much that we stayed again for another two nights upon our return from the Outer Hebrides. Stunning views, in particular from the pitches near the lochside (pitches 20-22), we had rear windows in our motorhome which was a great benefit in enjoying the views. The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area, the village being only 5 minutes walk from the site and we can recommend the bakery, oldest on the island, for its fruit scones and corn bread. The facilities on site were first class with easy access to the chemical toilet disposal and grey water points and we also made full use of the launderette on site. The ferry port of Uig is only around 60 minutes drive away, along good roads with excellent views.
