Beautifully located site -minutes from the Lochranza Ferry terminal. Overlooking a golf course with hills surrounding. The distillery nearby across the road.
Deer wander freely around the site especially in the evening.
Clean shower blocks/toilets-apparently new Jan this year.
Dishwashing facilities. Nice laundry room with pegs, airers, provided -and drying cupboard for boots/outdoor gear. Sweet little lounge area.
Friendly ?owner - choice of pitches and relaxed re orientation of vans/tents around the site.
Small restaurant/cafe just outside of entrance.
No shop other than butchers for 7 miles -so don't run out of milk! other than that -would highly recommend.

Fantastic 4 night stay at Lochranza. Beautiful views, well maintained site, clean and modern toilets, great friendly welcome. Lovely shallow stream running behind the site for the kids to play in. Generous pitches, though stony for pegging out. Great sunsets at the pier over Kintyre. 20 mins easy drive from Brodick. Great for walking the dog. Deer everywhere. A wonderful site, will definitely return.

Stayed for 4 nights, 20-23 and was very pleased with the helpful and friendly welcome. The site is quiet with good clean facilities (Toilets/Showers with hot air hair drier also hand /Kitchen sinks/Launderette with microwave use/Small lounge/Golf course/toilet waste facility). There is a café/restaurant just outside the gate. There is plenty to do locally if you just want a relaxing holiday. There is a ferry just down the road. Do not know of a shop other than a butcher and a delivery service. If you do not want to shop in Brodick there are shops in Blackwatersfoot. It was my fourth time on Arran and it is well worth a visit and, Lochranza camp site is highly recommended.

We visited this site in 2009 and had a poor experience with the then management. We heard it was up for sale and wondered if the owner had lost interest
Very pleased on this visit to meet the new owners who have gone to a lot of effort to improve the running of the site
They were very friendly and could not have been more helpful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this site
We were only there for two nights but enjoyed a superb Sunday Buffet at the Catocol Inn, a couple of miles away. We have never tasted such a wonderful selection of salads
We will return

We stayed here in June and had a fantastic time. Campsite quiet providing the perfect place to relax, facilities very clean and owners very helpful and knowledgable-nothing was too much trouble. Lots of wildlife around including deers - we opened our tent door one morning to see a stag just outside!
There is a nice restaurant just outside of the campsite gates which do lovely evening meals as well as breakfasts and afternoon snacks.
There are lots of lovely walks around the island and everything is in easy reach.
Lochranza is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday - can't recommend the site highly enough we loved it.

A beautiful site, in a stunning setting and very convenient for the distillery. The local pub is also very good. There are lots of beautiful walks nearby.
The site itself was a hit with me because it has its own deer! The only slight downside was the number of mozzies although this is not limited to the site obviously and they catered for it by selling repellent net hats etc. This was only a problem for one wet day and then the wind blew them through.
The facilities were a little tired although fine for us and I understand they have now been replaced. Would highly recommend.

Spent fantastic week in early May on this excellent site. Red Deer wandering around, fabulous scenery-tranquillity personified! Pitches flat and large.
Campsite was quiet when we visited, so had plenty choice. Pitched next to little burn. We were spoiled with superb weather-sunshine everyday.
Site facilities excellent. Toilets/showers spotless, cleaned daily; campers room-great with fridges, microwave, drying room for boots etc; laundrette with iron if needed. Everyone extremely friendly.
And- site is literally across the road from Distillery! Will definitely return.

We visited the island of Arran first called at the South end seal shore. Then to this camp site at the north end. What can I say 10/10 great site loved every moment. Visited the distillery and had a wee drum of whiskey. Loved the guided tour £6 well worth going.
Visited the ferry port in the evening and just watched the boats and animals. Looked round the castle in the bay. Stayed two days and wanted to stay the week.
The camp site was clean facilities where clean practical a bit worn at the edges but still good 8/10 the views are fantastic mountains all round. You need sat dish for TV nothing else will work.
When you arrive you just take a tag and find a pitch. The owner calls round in the evening to book you in would definitely go back. The red dear outside the van in the morning was great as well

Good flat site, decent toilet and shower facilities. Sitting room, fridge and micro-wave were all useful.
Lovely situation - red deer on site! Sunsets over Mull of Kintyre! Eagles overhead! Mountains and sea really close! Whisky distillery over the road!
Excellent cafe on site and good pub nearby for food.
Extremely friendly owners willing and able to sort out all problems. Nigel even pop-rivetted our van bumper back on after we'd broken it off!
Bus service on road next to site to all parts of Arran and ferry terminal over to Kintyre is nearby.
Wonderful place to stay for all lovers of the great outdoors and nicer now since current owners took over 3 years ago.

Just returned from this wonderful site, our second stay in just over a year. Seven nights this time around, nice clean toilets and showers. Friendly site owners Nigel and Kathy, drying room, information area and campers lounge this is our favourite site, we just love it. Beautiful location, wildlife it has the lot. The wonderful Stags Pavilion Restaurant sells fantastic food at sensible prices, make sure to book even on week nights, its full nearly every night and supported enthusiastically by the local villagers which tells you something. Visit this site you will not be disappointed.
