A nice campsite all round we have been twice over the past year & will go back, the people were all very friendly & helpful, the play area was aimed for the smaller kids was very good being easily visible from the tent pitches & the washing up area toilets etc, Bar was clean bright & well priced with pool table & quiz machines & small arcade, Entertainment for everyone was catered for with discos live music & bingo. Takeaway service really handy if you don't want to cook every night, tables are provided so you can sit outside & eat, shower block & washing facilities clean but a real lack of hot water, Swimming pool facilities ok (water was freezing & there was a lack of places to put your clothes or chairs to sit on) small shop very pricey & not a great range but supermarkets & shopping centres nearby.

We visited this site at Easter 2006. The pitches were well set out and relatively spacious. We found the site to be lovely and clean especially the toilet blocks. Did not queue long for showers but imagine you could do so in high season as there were only four. There is a lovely big field for ball games as well as a small playground. There is also a small arcade which my two sons were thrilled to see. The shop could do with carrying a wider range of goods but as we only stayed 4 nights was adequate for our needs. There is a small indoor swimming pool with a removable glass roof thus enabling it to be 'outside' during good weather. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice just the same. The site is well located and within easy reach of many beautiful parts of Kent. We thought the site offered good value for money and will definitely be returning. I would highly recommend this site.

First time at this site, the site is clean and has a small swimming pool. There are two shower / toilet blocks. The main one on the field seems to suffer from a lack of hot water unless you get there early. However there is another block at the top of the site which is much quieter and the water was always hot, worth the walk! The site is very open, we stayed on the left of the field, which was right next to a sometimes noisy road (ask for a higher pitch number which puts you on the right hand field). There is a well stocked shop and clubhouse. The pitches are marked out and seemed a bit small, luckily for us the site was quite quiet. If you had someone either side there would not seem to be the standard 5m spacing. It pored with rain on our last night and the field does get very water logged. All in all this is a nice clean site and I would be happy to recommend it in the quieter times.

Stayed for one night on a standard pitch no electric with a basic two man tent. The site was clean and tidy with good ablutions and washing up facilities. The pool area was well maintained but quickly became overcrowded as it is only about 20' x 10'. The pool was unsupervised so you must supervise your children. Some parents did not bother which caused problems. The noise levels after 10:00pm could have been quieter and there did not appear to be any enforcement of this from staff. However you will always get the inconsiderate few where ever you travel. I thought £20 was a little steep for pitching a tent and a price of £10 would have been more realistic. Overall a good site which I would use again.

What a fantastic site and what honest staff. Being fairly new to campervanning we have now stayed at several and this site is in our top 2. The first time we went to stay there was just after very heavy rain. The staff were honest enough to tell us that although there were vacancies, much was waterlogged and suggested we chose alternative dates which we did. I didnt look much when we drove in but the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a grass numbered pitch and could come and go as we pleased with no one taking over our pitch. What impressed us the most was the cleanliness, especially of the toilet and shower blocks. We had a grass pitch with electric. There are water taps at regular intervals too. The clubhouse was not overpriced and although there was no lifeguard, staff regularly checked the pool and if young children were not accompanied this was addressed for health and safety reasons. Its in the countryside and was not noisy from traffic and other people staying on the site respected others privacy etc., but were also friendly too. Its also disability friendly. They allow one dog for which there is an extra charge however there are a good supply of dog poo bins and owners are very responsible with picking it up and putting it in the bin. We loved it so much we're going back again before the end of the school holidays.

Stayed at this site for the weekend, nice clean site. Did not use any of the facilities. We decided we would go back for a five night stay, as we liked what we saw. Having stayed for five nights I would not go back there again. The showers are cold. I did mention this to the office she said that they were not cold, so I said well you go take a shower and see what you think, or stand in there and listen to the ladies moaning. The bar which is next to the pool does not open until the evening, laying around the pool on a hot summers day with no drinks available is not what you would expect. Bingo if you like it,( I do on holiday) is on two nights a week, usual disco karoke in the evening, but on a Wednesday evening there is no entertainment, they call it a relaxing evening all is quiet, can't understand that in the six weeks school holiday period. The outside food outlet does a good breakfast at a reasonable price, but then again that closes about 8pm. Nothing for 10 year old and upwards to do, the 14 year old does not want to play in the park. The on site shop is very expensive and limited, does not sell papers, only sells one pint milk cartons green top. Bar of soap 75p.

Stayed four nights here at the end of July. Ste clean and well-kept, with showers, toilets and teh washing up area spotless. The swimming pool was on the small side, but great for cooling off in the 30c heat. Large play area for kids and plenty of open space. Our 8 year old soon made friends. Staff friendly and helpful and not much in the way of noise after 10.00PM. The site is a bit exposed with little in the way of tree cover, overhead electricity pylons also do little for the ambience. Also some noise from the road at the back of the site. If you want it, there is a on site snack bar, a licensed bar, evening entertainment, a games room and an amusement arcade. With the exception of the swimming pool we didn't use them and I guess that's what puts the price up to twenty quid a night. Lovely sandy beach at Westgate about two miles away. Not sure if I would want to spend more than a week there, but its a clean, well-run site and particularly if you have kids, you could do a lot worse.

Yes I would go back again, in fact I plan to do so in a week or two. The only fault I would say, are that the showers are cold, you know the sort where you have to press to get a spray of cold water, then press again for another cold spray. I used the motorhome shower, glad I never had a tent.

We were camping here on a very sunny July weekend. The pitch was on a very open site with no shade and pylons buzzing overhead. Not that nice and very, very hot. They do seem to be planting some trees so maybe in a few years it won't seem so exposed. The toilets and showers were ok, some were a bit filled with sand but I guess you have to expect that when you're staying near a beach! The 'no noise after 11.00pm' wasn't really followed although I think that was inconsiderate campers rather than a fault of the site. Margate and the surrounding beaches are nice to explore for a few days, the fish and chips are splendid and well worth a trip to the sea front.

Just got back from this site, would definitely go again not in high season though. It was pretty busy but that I think was due to the hot weather and the Manston air show. Clean site, nice toilet block but there were only 4 showers and sometimes a queue for them so I would imagine in the height of summer you would have a bit of a wait. Loads of pitches all plenty big enough. there was a shop and swimming pool but we didn't have time to use them went to Broadstairs for the day instead. Would definitely recommend. Oh and the top field is still just a field for a previous reviewer
