Very nice site
A bit cramped but OK

Lovely site, immaculate facilities and good children’s play park.
Disappointed that site was not level and entrance/exit was extremely narrow at barriers.
Reception lady extremely helpful and chatty.
Stayed here to take grandson to Beamish museum - short drive away and benefitted from 15% discount from campsite

Stayed here for 2 night absolutely stunning site,
Toilet block is a spotless. Children’s play area is good.
They have a bar on site but not dog friendly.
Not sure which charm school the reception staff attended because they are so RUDE. Not very helpful.
Not sure if I would visit again because it’s quite expensive. £94 for 2 nights.

Lovely site, well spaced out with good, clean facilities.
New clubhouse, only open certain hours depending on time of year.
Conveniently close to Beamish Museum, easy drive to get there. Friendly staff.
Went to nearby Toby Carvery for meal.

Ended up leaving after 1 night. I’m all for kids having a great time, but playing football in between caravans and motorhomes when there’s a ball park on site, yelling and screaming for hours on end, whizzing around on bikes and scooters, basically running feral is not a relaxing experience.
The staff are aware of the issue but nothing is done about it. Folks drinking till late outside tents, loud music and woke up to empty vodka bottles, empty beer cans and litter blowing everywhere.
The pitch is tarmac but, small and narrow, on a hill and not at all level, we were at the highest point on our ramps and still not level.
At check in we were given a list of park rules, what a laugh ! Either nobody reads it, or nobody abides by it and certainly no management make sure that it’s adhered to, and every rule on the list was being flouted.
Asked not to walk dogs on the site, fair enough but other than an overgrown bridleway your other option is the roadside. I get the impression that the management don’t care if you leave early either, you’ve paid your money, and no refund for the remaining night was offered.
If you fancy party central this place is for you, but it’s not for us.
On the upside, the showers were ok, clean, and relatively new. There’s a shop on site and a clubhouse. The grass verges throughout the site are well maintained and tidy and the location is great for local attractions, especially Beamish which I about 1 mile away. I paid £116 for 2 nights, which given the unlevel pitch, poor water pressure and small pitch I didn’t feel it was worth the money.

The pitches, especially the hardstanding are very small and we found ours difficult to access as the road is also narrow and hilly.
Thankfully not busy as would have felt hemmed in.
The toilet block was of a very good standard. Just an overnight stop for us but would have been disappointed if had booked it for a holiday.
Unfortunately would not return due to cramped site.

We had a lovely stay, facilities were clean and welcoming.
Was a little worried when at Reception but reception is not a reflection on the rest of the campsite.
Reception staff were great whilst there on the phone prior to our stay not so much.
Playground was great.
Would stay again.

From telephone enquiry to leaving the site the staff on this site were delightful.
Helpful beyond the call of duty. Even offered to take my post when I asked about nearest post box.
The site is clean with a friendly litter picker on site. Immaculate toilet block.
We will return.
