Very well maintained site that was well located for nice walks or days away.
The pitch was adequately sized to have a long caravan and car parked in front.
The alfresco area was lovely to enjoy in the evenings with plenty of seating and a nice fire pit.
Owners are very welcoming and friendly.
Plenty of recycling facilities and very good sized showers although the water temp of the shower was on the chilly side.
Would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful time away.
(Traffic noise can be a bit much during the day but wasn't a problem during the night)

Quiet relaxed atmosphere, natural landscaping meadows.
Spotlessly clean facilities.
Friendly and very helpful owners.
Miles of safe walks and cycle paths through woods and coast.
Alfresco area for eating and a few cheeky drinks.
Highly recommend this small but perfectly run campsite.

Excellent, well tended campsite with great facilities and an amazing walk to awesome beaches.
Very easy to get to other attractions locally( Eden project and the lost gardens of Heligan), and lovely countryside.
Dog friendly as well, if you have a pooch.
This was a return visit for us and we would go again.
Thanks Meadows, it was a blast !

Beautiful location with quick and easy access to St Austell and Mevagissey.
Never a queue for the ladies' showers which were kept clean.
Communal covered eating/socialising space is an excellent resource.
Not many pop-up food options visiting the site at the moment.
There is WiFi, but it is not free.

Loved our stay at Trelispen. Friendly welcome from Donna and our great pitch was perfect for enjoying the sun.
We are self sufficient so didn’t need to use the toilet or shower facilities on site. I did go and have a look and they were kept clean, yes, dated, but perfectly adequate.
Washing machine and dryer is available and although you may have to wait for both to become available, it’s free to use!
There is a washing up sink and a fridge/freezer for use in this room too.
Fairly small site. Three fields divided by hedges and a generous size pitch. Surrounded by gorgeous views, sheep and cows. What’s not to like? If you are looking for clipped hedges and immaculate facilities then this may not be for you.
The charm for me was this little patch of Cornwall with no frills.
Very good value and Donna, the campsite coordinator, such a joy to chat to.
Definitely will return. Thankyou 😊

We were greeted by Donna who showed us to our pitch. All the staff we met were cheerful and helpful.
The pitch itself was spacious, our campervan was on a hardstanding next to grass and close to toilet facilities, as requested.
There are plenty of toilets and showers in the main block, plus a disabled room with a shower, toilet and basin and a stool for which you need a Radar key.
There is a small shop selling all the basics plus tourist information and books to borrow if you want to read.
A small bar opens in the Al Fresco area several nights a week and there are picnic tables and chairs in that area, plus a table tennis table at the back.
Behind this area is a lovely meadow area where several small camping pitches are, enabling people to wild camp at one end of the campsite, with toilet/shower facilities at the other, close to the shop.
These camping areas are surrounded by waist high wild flowers and grasses. I have a mobility scooter, which we took on the bus just down the road and visited Pentewan and Mevagissey and buses run hourly during the week though less often on Sundays.
There is road noise, though that did not affect our quality of sleep.
For walkers there are ample opportunities to cross over the road and follow the river and to walk in various directions through the wood - with the option of returning by bus should you choose to.

Very well managed, adults only campsite. We stayed in the tents, no electric, camping area which has pitches cut into the reeds and long grass at the centre of the site.
This offers seclusion from other campers although the long grass could be an issue for hay fever sufferers!
We paid £20 pn for the two of us. You park near the entrance and wheel barrows are provided to ferry your kit to your allocated pitch.
There is a security barrier at the entrance and numbered discs are provided to keep track of wash block use and help control Covid19 transmission.
Initially this seemed a bit of a pain, but actually worked very well! The wash block is spotless and well organised, there is a shop and Mike and Donna are excellent hosts.
There is also a freezer for icepacks and a outside bar/eating area for socialising, open a couple of hours each evening.
There is a lovely walk by the river to Pentewan 20 mins, Mevagissy, Gorran Haven and Charlestown are nearby. The Lost Gardens of Heligan is worth a visit. The Ship at Pentewan is good for food and beer. Fantastic area for beaches and walking.
There are only a couple off downsides to The Meadows. It is right by the B3273 to Mevagissy so road noise during the day and evening was constant. It does quieten down at night and you soon get used to it!
There is no view, but loads of shelter.
The shower temperature is fixed and lovely and hot, but no option for a cold shower during a heatwave!

The owners were very welcoming and helpful.
It was a very well organised site- clean and well maintained with a site shop stocked with essentials.
There was also an “al fresco” bar area - open in the evenings for a nice social drink!
Lovely riverside walks close by. Would also be good for cycling.
Not far from Pentewen and Mevagissey and also Heligan Gardens!
We would go back again!

A most excellent campsite with good facilities, good communications with owner's & plans for the future. Nice. !
Fantastic beaches within an easy walk from the campsite, & close to some major attractions.
It was a real break for us. !
