Using this as our first ever site, (never been camping before), was the ideal start. The site is clean and tidy at all times. The pitch sizes are large, although we were on a slight slope, kids rolled out of bed a couple of times.
The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were great.
The on-site shop was fantastic, it sells all the small things you need, including some camping bits and pieces.
There is a small kids playing area, mainly for smaller kids, but also a larger playing field. The kids enjoyed exploring the wooded areas around the edge of the site.
We also used the Shorefield site, about a mile away. Kids used the swimming pool, crazy golf and the arcade. They also have a larger shop, we got quite a bit of our shopping in there, and it wasn't too expensive.
Overall, a great site.

I have just returned from a 4 night break with my partner and dog.
All in all a pleasant site, clean and tidy with small but well stocked shop great for basics. Very safe for children, with small play area and field to throw/kick a ball.
The only downside was there was a queue for the showers, and they weren't terribly clean. This was probably due to the site being full as school holidays. There was also a very noisy family nearby, with a dog they left barking, whilst they went out, but this is not the fault of the campsite.
It was also quite expensive for what you get, but that's peak season again.
We walked into Milford on sea, about 20 mins down a busy road. The village itself had a pub, tea shops, butchers, small coop, chemist and off licence. I can thoroughly recommend the fish and chip shop. The beach is pebbly but has a promenade and dogs are allowed on the beach.
I can recommend surrounding beaches, we parked at Friars and walked for miles and visited Hurst castle, a mile walk down a spit but ferry available £3 each way.
Avoid Lyndhurst, traffic appalling! We parked in Brockenhurst to walk through the forest.
Not sure we will be back, but a great base for the New Forest and beautiful south coast.

We were in plot 232, down towards the bottom of the site. Slight slope but nothing that affected sleep.
We had a brook running at the back of us which was lovely and relaxing. The toilet block was immaculate, showers hot, pot wash good too.
Games room for the kids and a field for ball games and a dog walking area too. You can use the facilities at their sister site not far away which has a pool.
A good base for exploring New Forest. The wardens are always happy to help, nothing is too much trouble, we had a flat battery on the car one morning and they sorted us out. They were really helpful when my camera battery ran out and charged it in their office overnight. The site sells the basics too.
All in all a great site.

We visited Lytton Lawn for four nights and found it to be a very well run site. We are a middle aged couple and enjoy peace and quiet and apart from 65-70 mph gale force winds we found it here!
Apart from the weather we found the site to be really good, adequately stocked shop and very friendly staff. Well laid out site and spotless shower block.
We like Milford on Sea for it's quiet relaxed environment whilst being convenient for Christchurch and Bournemouth. Marvellous fish & chips from Mr Pink's - Highly recommended!
Found the local Pubs to be good, the nearest The Crown in Everton bit too 'gastro' for our liking, The Smugglers is good for a meal though rather pricey for drinks. The White Horse is a nice pub to go for a drink as is The Gunn Inn in Keyhaven.
Weren't to keen on The Red Lion though, seemed to lack atmosphere and 'The friendly welcome' seemed to be having a day off. Area good for fishing, caught a few Bass from the beach when the weather allowed.
All in all will return again, hopefully in better weather!

Just returned from a 3 night break at this site with our two children aged 6 and 4.
The site had lovely clean toilets, a small shop (fresh croissants in the morning were a big treat) and small play area.
We were located at the top of the campsite near to the shop. The pitches were generous.
We visited Milford on Sea which was a short drive away – down a fairly busy road. We did consider cycling but I’m not sure I’d recommend this. The site is well located for the forest and surrounding area.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The traffic in the New Forest is crazy in Peak season. Expect to be sat in a few traffic jams!

Myself, 2 friends (in our 30's) and my parents (in their 50's) stayed at Lytton Lawn on a Saturday and Sunday in June 2010. The place was full - obviously very popular. A lot of noisy families on the Saturday night, but they left on Sunday and we had a peaceful evening on site. Our corner pitch was big enough for our massive tent and 3 cars!
The loos and showers were very well kept - clean and tidy. Wash up area had a plug and mirror we could use to do our hair.
Would certainly use this site again.

Our group consisted of 4 adults and a 7 year old child and we chose 2 grass pitches.
The site is well laid out, the pitches are a good size and the facilities are excellent. The shower and toilet blocks were always spotless and the shop may be small but is well stocked with everything you could need. The staff were always friendly and very helpful.
Our pitch was fantastic, tucked away in the corner near the play field and next to the stream. Even though the park seemed reasonably full it did not feel overcrowded in any way and was very peaceful. We did not ever need to queue to use the showers or the washing up facilities etc.
We had read other reviews and had purposely asked for a pitch away from the road, but we need not have worried as the campsite was very quiet and you could barely hear any road noise as it did not appear to be a busy road.
We cycled through the lanes down to Milford on Sea and Keyhaven which was great and took less than 20 minutes.
Overall the site is fantastic, excellent facilities, great value for money and a fab location which is great for exploring Dorset. Have already recommended to friends and would definitely stay there again.

Cracking site! close to everything needed but far enough away from roads. Nice and secure feeling to the site though as you have to drive past the warden home etc. Good shop and advice for local info.
Nice sized pitch, well drained and a good view. Shower block and toilets were spotless and never busy. Warden on hand and always seemed to be cleaning, including the kids playground slide etc!
Lovely area for kids to play, few miles from the sea and lovely chips from milford on sea. Also within easy reach of the new forest etc. The leisure facilities/pool etc was only a few miles away and a real bonus, kids and adults loved! Also very clean etc.
Recommended to friends and family and will return.

Lovely! Peaceful, relaxed, safe for our kids to roam around.
We had glorious weather, which can give us tent campers a rosy view, but I'd still rate this site as one of the nicest we've been to.
Small on site shop with essentials from gas refills, through newspapers and a fridge with milk for morning and beer for evening!
We went with 4 other families and had a great time. We used it as a base to get to Bournemouth and then we used the main sites clubhouse and swimming pool in the evening and next day.
Recommend fish and chips, bang on 5 o'clock from the Milford on Sea chippery (again, just down the road).
So, from a camper 9/10 (not sure what would make a 10/10. Probably free beer from the fridge!) _ can't make any promises if this is up to a caravanners standards

The pitches are of a very good size, with clear markings of where your pitch starts and finishes, electrical hook ups clearly marked and water very close to hand. Shop is well stocked of basic items, and staff very friendly and knowledgeable of places of interest, where to eat etc.
Small play area is great for younger kids, mine scooted off quite happily.
Think some of the pitches close to the road would experience some road noise we were fortunate and were pitched right in the middle.
My only moan would be that I felt there weren't enough showers and they were quite small particularly if you were trying to shower a child and there weren't enough washing up sinks.
Other to that the site was great, I would recommend it and go back to it, you can't ask more than that!
