All pitches were a good size and all with electric hook up. The toilet / showers and wash up areas were all adequate and kept pretty clean - I didn't come across any queuing even though the site was full. There's a shop which stocks the usual campsite fayre.
The site has a large grassed area for dog walking and ball games - separated by a fence.
You can use the facilities at Shorefield Park - Gym, Swimming Pool and evening entertainment (incl. Kids disco) which did come in quite handy due to the bad weather.
Only down side to some of the pitches (217 - 209 & 401 - 409) was the position next to a busy main road which was quite noisy.
All in all a nice site but quite pricey if you only have a small tent and don't use the hook up.

Booked this site as it was quiet & peaceful. Well, not on May bank holiday it wasn't. We were given the chance of a free upgrade to a premier pitch, which we did not take up. Unfortunately, our pitch was next to the road, which was very noisy, with bikes, cars & even a petrol mini motorbike going up & down.
Being Bank holiday, there was lots of children, but the site did not seem to cater for them well, leaving them to ride their bikes, play football & cricket in between the caravans & on the road. There was also a couple of well mannered but noisy large party groups close to us, so all in all it was not the tranquil experience we had expected from reading about the site.
That said, the site was well positioned to explore the local area, & was well presented, with a good shop, clean albeit not spotless shower & toilet facilities & good size pitches. Ours was on a significant slope & we needed to use our stacker pads for the legs & wheel leveller. Then we tried & eventually suceeded to fit the awning satisfactorily.
All in all, an ok site, but I don't suppose we will go back, in that there are so many other good sites to choose from & this one just did not do it for us.

Having mainly been to Caravan Club sites so far we found this site very interesting - watching the tents, trailer tents and some very odd looking tiny and foldup caravans. The wardens were friendly the shop stocked with basic goods and alcohol and ice creams and camping equipment. You can order news papers and bread for the next day. Shop does not open for long each day unless they are waiting for new arrivals. The nearest supermarkets are Waitrose and a Tesco Metro in Lymington 3 miles, and a big Tesco at New Milton 4 miles.
The grass field is on a slope and the pitches near the road would be very noisy. We choose our pitch from the map on the internet and pre booked and I was happy with what we had chosen (thanks to these reviews and google photographs) we kept away from the trees, near the toilets and had a lovely sunny pitch with a veiw of the Isle of White out of the front windows.
There are plenty of toilet and shower facilities the 'Pastures New' in the grass field is however not heated so I found out on one cold morning that the showers and toilets near the shop are, although the heat soon went off in them when the weather warmed up. The heat of the water in the showers was far too hot at the beginning of the week and barely tepid by the end. The toilets are cleaned everyday but not to the standards that we have been used to at the Caravan Club sites - still acceptable though. They have a washing up area with three sinks inside and 3 just undercover.
There is a small dog walk field and next to it a children's playing field although it does have a stream at the bottom so don't let your young children wander in there on their own. There is also another play area with climbing frame etc near the shop and a games room.
The Crown in Everton is about 10 minutes walk away and is dog friendly, the pubs in Milford on Sea are all said to be dog friendly but we only went in the Smugglers - the food and drink are expensive in both those pubs. Milford on Sea village is about 25 minutes walk. The fish and chip shop in the village is lovely.
You can use the facilities at the Shorefield site we did not use the pool but it looked good. The bar was refurbished to a high standard and the drinks were cheaper than in the local pubs. We biked there but it was a trek and it would be a long walk - so would advise a drive would be best. This site would have cost us £93 for the week but we had to pay £21 for our two dogs - however this was still much cheaper than some sites we had looked at. This is for upto 6 people and bearing in mind if you go swimming at Shorefield everyday you would be getting amazing value for money.
We had a quite and peaceful week. BUT with a lot of tents turning up at the weekend came a lot of children so in busy times this site could be very noisy!
Days out in the New Forest are obviously a must and we really enjoyed Bolderwood saw loads of squirrels and there is a dear viewing platform. From the end of Hythe Pier you can see the boats in the docks at Southampton and Calshot Castle is a great place to be to watch the boats come and go from Southampton.

Stayed here for a week, in a premier pitch next to the busy main road. Yes you are correct it was busy from dawn till dusk and beyond. There were three caravans for 2 nights and then they left on day 3 which left us on our own. Until another motor home turned up and were promptly pitched right behind us, other wise a completely empty field! Why do campsites book right next to other campers when they have the choice of 30 or so more pitches??
Apart from the road I think the site is lovely. The toilet block was always clean. Management are lovely and friendly. Site is close to attractions. We took our bikes there and had plenty of area to explore and made full use of it.
The pebble beach is within walking distance, but do not carry lots of beach equipment ie: deck chairs picnic, windbreak etc. As it will be too far.
The local pubs are excellent. But the coffee shops are even better and well worth visiting to try the local Dorset Apple cake. Facilities at the sister campsite are superb but they do not take tourers otherwise would have preferred to stay there.
All in all, would we go there again - Yes, but ask to be put on the other side of the site.

This was my first camping trip as a single mum on my own with my 2 children so I was a little apprehensive, but we had a wonderful time.
It combined the best of both worlds for me as being on my own I didn't want a rowdy park but still wanted to have the facilities of indoor swimming pool and children's entertainment which a short drive to nearby Shorefield gave us.
The toilet and shower blocks were very clean and bright which passed the test with my very fussy 7 yr old daughter although we did shower at the swimming pool.
I felt safe to let my two (7 & 13) go off to the play area together.
Milford on Sea is a very pretty village, we had fun at the May day fair on the village green and Polly's tea rooms does the best cream tea with home made scones, yummy
Definitely recommend the very long walk along the 'out crop' from Milford to Hurst Castle (wrap up warm if it's not height of summer, very windy) and to our relief you can get a ferry back. Hurst Castle is fab, my 2 loved it.
The only negative is. Do not get a pitch backing onto the road, especially if in a tent. The road is very noisy during the day and the odd car at night sounds like a juggernaut! We had a pitch near the road and I'm sure the lovely wardens would have been more than happy to move us if we had asked but with the thought of taking the tent down and having to re-pitch on my own. I put up with the noise instead.
Will definitely return to a pitch not near the road.

Used this site for a quick getaway for 2 nights.
Nice sized flat pitch good toilets and shower facilities.Nice friendly wardens did not use the facilities at shorefieled holiday park.Nice and close to the coast(Milford on Sea) and Lymington (good market on a Saturday).Well Stocked but pricey (as usual) site shop. There is a separate field for ball games and dog walking.
We went in the low season last year so it was good value for money then.
Enjoyed our stay can recommend this site to couples and families alike.
May just return later this year (low season again) and use the holiday park facilities this time.

We have just got back from 3 nights here at the last part of the Easter Holidays and were very happy. We stayed on one of the premier pitches with hardstanding, and all facilities.
Very clean, staff helpful and as it was a fairly small site and not too busy I felt happy letting the children play. Small but perfectly adequate dog walk area, large games field. Has a shop but we didn't really use it.
Price was very reasonable we thought for fully serviced pitch, caravan, awning, 2 adults and 4 children and 2 dogs was £73. In Easter Hols. My parents are down there for 3 nights at present and they only paid £40 for the 3 nights, again fully serviced. Would definitely go back

We stayed here over the easter weekend and as you would expect the site was packed. This made it fun for the kids as there were lots of friends to make. The weather had been pretty poor and therefore the pitch was a washout.
We didn't bother putting up the awning on our premium pitch, or we would have had an indoor paddling pool. The shower blocks and loos are clean and in good order. They are however not heated and the shower cubicles are very small.
The facilities on the site are basic, but the use of Shorefield about 5 minutes by car was very good.
The staff at Lytton Lawns were very friendly and helpful.
Overall the site is probably a 6 out of 10. We had a good time but would not rush back.

Just returned from Lytton Lawn. £116.00 for the Easter weekend expensive for what's there, you are paying for the Shorefield site which we were told by reservations was a short walk away in fact its 2 and half miles (approx). The Showers are ok we were on one of the sloping pitches and could not get level at all. The ground was very wet and boggy, but it had rained all week.
The Wardens are friendly and will do their best to help even trying to tow the camper fans off the pitches that were stuck.
Not a great deal for the children to do the play park is very small. Would not go back there in a hurry.

This is a fantastic site. We were a little worried about what we would find as our 5 nights stay only cost £86 with full hook up. This site was brilliant. Lovely and quiet. A great field to play ball games in, a small but adequate park for the children. The showers and toilets are lovely and clean. Loads of hot water and the shower block was lovely and warm ( really important in October!) - there is even piped in music! The wardens were lovely - they really appeared to love their job and went over and above. They even organised a fancy dress competition and trick & treating for Halloween.
The site is between two villages within reasonable walking/cycling distance. Both offering shops, takeaways and good family pubs for eating. Milford is great for trowing pebbles in the sea and the option to use the pool at the Shorefield County Park the otherside of Milford made the holiday ideal.
We will definitely be going back.
