Stayed on one of the hard standing pitches and really enjoyed my stay at the site, plus at £14. 50 per night, including hook-up, was reasonably priced.
The warden on arrival was friendly and helpful and came over an hour or so later to check all was ok. One side of the site does back on to the main road, and although the noise was minimal, this might be annoying at busier times. The toilet block was heated and kept very clean. There is a dog exercise field, although we didn’t need to use it as there are good walks available from the site.
The Gun Inn in Keyhaven was a nice pub and also the Smugglers Inn in Milford on Sea, both were dog friendly and within walking distance from the site.
Due to the site being quite large, it’s generally not a site we’d visit in peak season, but out of season when it’s quite, we’ll return.

We have just returned from our third October in a row to this site and as usual a happy stay had by us.
The facilities suit us down to the ground the toilet and shower block is always clean and nice and warm (needed this time of the year). The staff are friendly and helpful as always.
You have the choice of the hard standing or grass pitch, we have always gone on the grass with view of the playground so we can watch our daughter from the caravan,
The sites location is perfect for the new forest and the coast and the other selling point is that you get to use the facilities at nearby shorefield holiday park which is really nice too.

We visited lytton lawn campsite for seven days at the beginning of september the weather was mix of sunny, rainy and cloudy days.
There are two toilet blocks one is newer in the fully serviced field in which all pitches are hard standing and packed in compared to other sites we have visited. This is part of reception with washing, drying and ironing facilities a wash was £4.
The other toilet block is in the field which is mixed with tents and tourers it is dated but fully functional and it was cleaned three times a day, showering on a morning was luke warm but hot in an evening, one of our party holds a disabled badge and could use the disabled wash room which she said was excellent.
The mixed field is not level so levelling blocks are a must unless you are at the top of the field, which we were, on our mud patch that was under the cover of a large acorn tree, so this was fun at night during windier evenings. Also the large wood pigeons and all that tree sap made a big mess of my pride and joy.
The shop is stocked with all the basics, long life bread and tins, there was wine and beer and quite a good section of camping and caravanning paraphernalia even new sink taps.
One side of the site is 5ft away from the road behind some very tall trees and bushes which was quite busy for a b road.
There is a small play ground for 4 and up with an indoor games room with pool, air hockey and table football all coin operated with deposit required for the cues. T
here is a large tesco 5 miles away at new milton and various pubs, restaurants a short cycle away we had an excellent meal at the blue bird fish restaurant down by the cobbles in lymington.
We probably wont go back to this camp site but if we did we would be on a fully serviced pitch. You did however have use of the facilities at shorefield park, we only used the pool once but it was very nice.

Stayed at the campsite in the summer holidays. Myself, my mum, dad, son aged 11 and daughter aged 6.
We stayed EHU, near the children's play area, and I have to say the campsite is brill. Such a lovely location, loads for the kids to do. Campsite was safe enough to let the kids run about.
Facilities were clean and well kept, never had to queue for showers.
Would definitely recommend this campsite, staff were very helpful.
The New Forest itself is beautiful, and my daughter went on a trek through the forest, my son went kyaking.
Bournemouth isnt to far away and we had an enjoyable day there. There's a tesco supermarket about 5 minutes away.
Would definitely return.

Just had 2 days at Lytton Lawn. Easy to find off the main road and down a small'ish quiet lane. Quick and very friendly check in (the wardens couldn't do enough for us - they were great!). Good sized shop with everything you could possibly need - daily newspapers ordered for collection.
2 toilet/shower blocks both with inside washing up areas - always clean. We found the smaller of the two blocks (behind the reception) to be the best - piped music was a nice touch!
We had a hardstanding premier pitch with EHU, water and waste - a real bargain at £16 per night for us two and the dog!
The walk into Milford-on-Sea was longer than the 20 minutes we were told and our old boy (dog) struggled a bit so we caught the bus back - 3 mins stood up on the bus for £2. 20 each but we did it to save his legs!
Good pub in Milford - Smugglers Inn - nice food (not cheap) and doggie friendly. There is also a couple of mini supermarkets and a chippy amongst other shops!
We biked into Lymington one day (not recommended on the busy B-road!) and then came back along a great cycle path via Keyhaven and Milford-on-Sea. Lovely views across to Hurst Castle and the salt marshes.
Not sure that this would be a site for us in high season but out of season we found it to be just what we needed!

Had a lovely week at Lytton Lawn. Spacious pitch, very helpful but unobtrusive wardens and absolutely immaculate shower/loo block.
The shop is very well stocked and the peace on the site was lovely. However, it got very busy at the weekend, as the weather was perfect, but there was a very pleasant atmosphere on site, with lots of bbq's and happy campers. Considering most of the extra sites were filled by tents, the shower block held up well and was kept very clean.
The surrounding area is very interesting, with lots to see, Hurst Castle, Milford on Sea, Keyhaven all worth a visit, and great walks for the dog. The dog area was good.
My brother and his wife joined us for the weekend, and as the site allows up to 6 people on the pitch, there was no extra charge, so great value for money.
The facilities at nearby Shorefields holiday park was also included in the cost of the pitch although we didn't use it, so cannot comment on that.
All in all, a very good holiday and would most definitely visit this site again. Recommended !

We stayed at Lytton lawn during the Royal Wedding weekend. The facilities were great, the separate dog walking field / playing field are a great idea.
The shop is stocked with the essentials and the staff were friendly.
The only downside and 'Not' the campsite faults was that we were pitched next to the toilet block and other inconsiderate campers walked through our pitch as the crow flies to gain access to the facilities. This was soon rectified by a couple of well placed wind breaks. Otherwise I would thoroughly recommend.

The site is well located and only a couple of miles from Lymington. The approach was fairly easy and there is plenty of room to park while you check in. The staff were polite and helpful and provided plenty of information about the site and surrounding area.
The site is split into 3 areas, firstly on the left by the office is a selection of Premier pitches which are hardstanding and separated with a small fence or hedge, all services are provided on these pitches. Behind the office area are then the serviced pitches which are grass with electric, they weren’t very level so I imagine that large ramps would be needed. There is then another area of Premier pitches adjacent to the facility/office block which have a concrete area for the caravan and a small gravel area for your awning. Unfortunately the concrete area wasn’t quite wide enough and both the caravan and car were on the grass on one side.
The facility block was clean and modern. There was also a wash up area & Launderette which were also very clean and well equipped. There is a games room for children and a small park as well as an outdoor table tennis area.
You are also eligible to use the facilities at the Shorefield site nearby which has a nice pool and gym area as well as a few different restaurants and evening entertainment.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Lytton Lawn Touring Park and found the staff and facilities to be excellent. My only small criticism is the size of the concrete pitches but I imagine in the spring/summer when the grass is dry this wouldn't be such a problem. We would definitely use the site again and would recommend it to others.

Second time I've been here (first time was in June 2009) after a recommendation by a friend who stayed.
So when my mother & father in-law decided that they'd like to try taking the family camping I didn't hesitate to recommend this site.
Firstly they are a little expensive at peak times in my opinion, however if you can manage off peak or out of holiday season it becomes very good value for money, especially if there are a few of you (six adults and two children in our party).
There was no fuss about the size of the tent or the fact that there where more than two adults and two children or that we needed to take three cars. Unlike allot of other sites I rang who seemed to think that because we where a large party I was either trying to arrange some kind of 24/7 party or that the tent would take up two pitches so we should pay twice (standard 8 man tent bought from millets?) or that they couldn't have three cars per pitch for health and safety reasons (even if the cars weren't parked near the tent) and some just refused point blank to accommodate us! The people at Shorefield where helpful when booking over the phone and even double checked with the site manager and rang me back to confirm it was OK. For these reasons alone I would use them again (and I will as I'm already eyeing up dates for this year).
The people who look after this site where polite and helpful, they even allowed me to leave my broken down car in the car park for most of the duration of the holiday until it could be collected (if you're reading this thank you it saved allot of stress and fuss about how we where going to get the car home and then me back again)
The facilities (showers, toilets, food prep area and laundrette) where clean and tidy. The site shop although small has enough things to cover most day to day needs and they also bake fresh stuff most days. They also have a decent range of caravanning and camping accessories should you need them.
Our pitch was right in the middle of the site on a slight slope but that didn't seem to cause us a problem. It was near enough to the facilities but not close enough to be disturbed by people coming or going.
The Kids enjoyed the pay area and the space set aside for playing ball games in. I was disappointed to see the games room now looks a bit sorry for it's self with not much in it for the kids to do if it's raining and no 10p fruit machines for us adults to amuse ourselves with.
We also used the main site facilities just down the road and found the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi to be clean and tidy. Kids enjoyed the pool especially the large shallow area and the smaller sit in part. The food from the restaurant was fairly good, but we waited what seemed like a long time even though it wasn't very busy. The shop was very good and reasonably priced.
If your going out for a meal I would recommend Mr Pinks just down the road at Milford on sea for fish and chips or if your after a pub meal the The Gun is a good bet, but it is a proper Pub with no children allowed in the main bar (only the lounge bar/restaurant).
Would recommend this site to anyone, but the best value is in going during the off peak periods.

The location of this campsite is good and fairly central. The shop was well stocked and good.
The playground was very small. The toilets were clean but the showers often dirty and the one I used had no spray control so the whole cubicle is wet despite the shower curtain.
Our Pitch 227 flooded, with a stream running under the tent due to the drainage not working properly.
The main site and facilities were a lot further than you were led to believe on an unsuitable bike ride for a five year old.
The main Shorefield site facilities were equally disappointing not enough bike racks to tether your bikes at after a long wet bike ride with a two and a five year old. The pool was very cold, so the two year olds in our party could not stay in for more than 15-20 minutes as they were shivering.
In the restaurant we had to wait so long for more stocks of tomato sauce to be collected that our meals were cold and the nearest toilet had a broken handle and tap making it difficult to use.
We are seasoned campers and we know what to expect, we paid £10 more a night for this campsite than our usual haunts and as the off site facilities were disappointing there was no value for money as the campsite was not as good as our usual cheaper places.
