Handy for Isle of Wight ferry.
Very clean facilities. Some parts closed for winter but not a problem.

A return visit with an unexpected discount of 20% to complete the school summer holidays. We had previously used the executive serviced pitches, but this time a very large grass pitch (275) gave us loads of room with the 'van pitched across the rear of the pitch, awning attached.
Our friends were on the next door pitch providing social space to play hoopla and bowls, sit out in the sun and enjoy a super site full of mixed groups of other campers.
We used the swimming pool, bar and amusements at the linked site the other side of Milford that is available in the pitch fee. Oh and call in for ice cream on the seafront on the way back.
Check in was rapid. Wardens friendly and jovial as they did their rounds and maintained pitches emptying each day.
Toilet blocks were spotless throughout our stay.
A great day out cycling from the site, turning right and going to Keyhaven, then along the tideway path and onto the headland twixt Hurst castle and Milford for a fish & chip tea at the Needle Eye Cafe, followed by ice cream, as we are at the seaside. A lovely cycle back up the hill to site to burn off those calories.
The 10:00 am leaving time is a challenge after a busy few days.
A super site in a great location, with the ability to use leisure facilities at the sister site make this a top spot for a break.

Love this campsite. Excellent facilities. Very clean and tidy. Colin and Sharon looked after us very well.
You can cycle to the nearby site to enjoy their facilities but it's nice to get back to the quiet site and relax.

DD (10) and I did a quick two-nighter here on the first weekend of the school summer holidays. It was very full. Weirdly, the flat pitches all seem to be given to caravans and motorhomes, leaving we tentists on a slope. The main road which borders one side of the site is noisy during the day but settles down at night.
The ground is very well kept but a bit stony, so bring rock pegs. There's no separation between pitches, and every square foot is allocated, so it's a bit car-parkey and you'll get to chat to your neighbours (ours were lovely).
Facilities are generous and properly cleaned, but the bogs and showers did get grim at times. The shop is good, though fresh food options are limited. The service is very friendly and helpful.
Recycling is comprehensive, but a hundred yards or so from the general waste, so you really need to separate it at your pitch. We didn't tax the EHU much because it was hot, but it was dependable apart from one incident where the entire site was cut off for about 20 mins - I presume that was an external issue.
The area is splendid. We weren't there for long, but took the ferry from Keyhaven to Hurst castle one day - that's building conservation as it should be done: bravo English Heritage - and on the other day we took a mackerel fishing boat out to the Needles and along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. We caught 14 fish between us and very tasty they were too, just grilled with a bit of salt. Lymington is picturesque and genteel, whilst Milford is more ordinary.
It's quite dear for what it is. Hurst View / Solent View is nearby - if you're happy with a camp fire instead of EHU - and much cheaper, with a bit of a carnival atmosphere but worse facilities.

This is the most I've ever paid for a pitch(£50+) a night. That said we had a nice premier pitch at the edge of the park with loads of space. Reception very informative, site quiet at night even though it was nearly full, toilet block clean but thought a little outdated.
No pub within reasonable walking distance but we walked to Milford on Sea(about one mile) along a pavement at the side of the road which has plenty of eating places+a couple of nice micro-pubs.
Bus stop right outside the site entrance going to Lymington or Milford and beyond the other way.

Just returned from this very nice site it was quiet & not full of static caravans & residents but if that is your taste then a card is given to the other shorefield site just down the road. The staff are very pleasant & helpful.
The toilets & showers were very tidy & well kept. Lovely sound of birds in the morning. Nice size pitches & a shop which is stocked with all essentials. Small games room & a playground for the kids. We will definitely return here again. Thankyou
