Did our first trip with new caravan so complete novices The site we found was quite and pitches big The toilets clean and staff friendly . We use to own a boat and compared with marinas that cost double they were no match for this site. We will be going back

We used this sight as a base to go to the Bike show at Beaulieu, it was easy to find on the main road through Everton, but the turning in was a bit sharp. The staff were helpful and gave us good instructions. The pitch was a good size and well maintained. We were close to the loos at pitch 272. These were clean and warm. The showers were hot and had plenty of hooks to hang your stuff on. We had full use of the sister site up the road, a great pool, sauna, steam room and all the usual club bars. These were all great. The only down side we felt was the 11pm quiet rule this seemed too late as as a busy site it was noisy, but this could have been just the amount of large groups, As someone else has said on this site it it could work out expensive but this weekend cost us for 2 nights £30 we probably go back in low season

Have just returned from lovely weekend. Nice site. Toilets clean no queue for shower & 1 cubicle was always free when I visited the toilet. Very clear sign stating that they will be closed between 2 & 3 pm for cleaning Play area & games room only open from 9.30am til 8.00pm Due to size of our trailer tent & I think availability we were placed by the road - this was explained when I phoned to book and again when we checked in. The road IS busy although it is only a B road but you don't have to raise your voice much (apart from the odd lorry) but I would imagine this is a different story on a Monday morning for example. Very quiet at night. Only managed the indoor pool at Shorefields which was lovely and very clean (as is the whole of Shorefields). We paid £15 a night for 2 adults and 1 infant - swimming at home costs up up to £7 ! and you are able to use the facilities on the day of your departure Town has 2 pubs, chippy, Italian restaurant and the bakers does pizza takeaway in evening. Very romantic eating our takeaway on the beach apart from the seagulls of course ! Will visit again

August 2005 Just back from Lytton Lawn, the campsite was clean and the grounds well kept. Very busy over the bank holiday weekend - although we rarely had to queue for the showers they did get very mucky by mid morning.
We were put on a pitch right next to the playground which was quite noisy during the day - the playground was small but it kept the kids happy.
Shorefield was nice, the pools were great, indoor very warm and outdoor cold. Didn't go to the evening entertainment as we had the dog with us but they seemed to have plenty of activities going on all day and night.
Would definitely go back as it was in a great position close to the sea and within 15 mins drive of the New Forest.
Great Holiday was had by all.

August 2005 Nicely laid out site with large pitches. Relaxed atmosphere. We were near the brook and road. After a while you did not notice the road noise. We stayed for the bank holiday weekend and the site was full but there was hardly any problem with getting a shower.
Would I go back again - no. This is one of several sites run by the same company and whilst you have use of the facilities at other sites, £28 a night (same charge had had I been at one of the sites with swimming pool, gym etc.)is excessive.

August 2005 We have just returned from a weeks holiday at lytton lawn. This is the second time we have visited this campsite and was not disappointed at all. We had a generous sized pitch which was next to the play area, which was great as we have 3 boys so were able to watch them from our tent.
The play area is locked from 9pm to the morning so noise wasnt a problem. The shower and toilet facilities were excellent - always plenty of hot water no matter what time of the day and we never had to que for a shower either which was great especially as the site was full. Big plus was the separate field the boys and us werre able to play football rounders in. The staff there were always very helpful. The site is in a great location, recommend!

June 2005 Took our two children to this site in june 2005 for one week, apart from site on bit of a slope nothing really to complain about. We found the pitch for our tent plenty big enough for the tent, car, trailer and bbq.
Showers were good, site was clean and staff were helpful. We went to the sister site to use their pool which is free.
Within 20/25 mins you can be at a good stretch of beach or in the heart of the new forest, the local beaches were a bit shingly so we went between Christchurch and Bournemouth which were lovely and sandy with very clear water.
We would definitely go back again, but if you are expecting a music till all hours site and the local drunks tripping over your kit in the middle of the night singing their heads off , you will be dissappointed because it is exactly the opposite.

June 2005 Arrived on the off chance of a pitch, we were quickly and politely given a choice of 8 pitches.
I had read other reviews saying the pitches were on a slope which gave concern. The slope is hardly noticable and was not a problem. The pitches are large with plenty of room between, all are well marked out and have electric hook ups.
Toilets and showers were kept clean, and were in very good order. The water in the showers could have been hotter, but was acceptable. The whole site was clean and well kept.
Road noise was quite loud early evening but reduced though the night. The site was only a mile from the beach and village which is quite attractive, other places of interest are within a short drive. We would return again to this site.

July 2004 Excellent site. Took family, including 3 young kids - very friendly family site. Facilities clean, plenty of hot water. Almost full when we visited and no real queues for showers, washing up etc. Camping field on a bit of a slope, but no major issue.

May 2004 Another very wet Bank Holiday weekend, which meant very soft, muddy conditions. Not as bad as we expected, especially as our pitch was next to the stream. On a bit of a slope though and as others have mentioned, work out the lay of your bedroom units very carefully!! Overall, site was pleasant, good showers, clean facilities, all electric hook-ups etc. Expensive if you do not take advantage of the facilities in nearby Shorefield - we did't. Good location - near New Forest and the beaches. Recommend.
