A lovely friendly place to stay!, we had free use of the shorefield swimming pool which was well equipped and clean and very welcoming. Lytton lawn has onsite showers that are always immaculate, also they have a shop that is well stocked. There is a games room that is a tad bare but the kids enjoy the air hockey. Just across the road is a lovely little tea shop where you can get the lovliest cream teas! Beaulie museum of motors is HUGE a great place thats not too far away to visit.
We will definately return there.

What a fantastic place! My husband and myself decided to have a few days away without the kids but we wished we had taken them with us, as they would have loved it. The staff were all very helpful and all fellow campers were really friendly. Nice quiet site with dog walking area. The shop was well stocked and the shower blocks were clean and tidy! There is a pub within walking distance but not really a place you can sit and have a nice relaxing drink, its more of an upmarket over priced resturant, and the drinks were far from cheap, but there is a ciu club right next to it which luckily we are ciu members and had our cards with us and the drinks were at least half the price of the pub. We will definitely be going again! very soon in fact!

A very tidy, clean well looked after site. The toilet blocks were heaven.Clean, hot water, hair dryers.
All pitches have electric hook up and were a decent size.
The slope didn't really concern us although if not careful you could fall out of bed!
The kids playground is small but ample and there's a games room with pool table and air hockey.
The shop/reception is VERY well equiped with fresh bread. But was never opened when we needed them!.
The Chinese in the town was fantastic.Well recommended.
Would recommend this site and would visit again.

The site is well run with friendly staff and warden with very good local knowledge, fellow campers are all willing to lend a helping hand if needed. Toilet block shower rooms clean, washing up area could be better with taps that where on at all times, laundry was clean and tidy, shower cubicles are small but clean. Park football and dog walking area shut between 8pm and 8am, games room has good air hockey, snooker and a few slot machines. our pitch was on a bit of a slope but not a big problem. The shop is well stocked and it was very nice to have fresh bread for breakfast. we used the pool at Shorefields every day which was very clean and helpful staff and it was only 2 miles down the road . Great for crabbing and will go back soon.

We loved this site and will go back! Toilets & showers were clean. Reception & shop were well run and had everything you need and staff very helpful. Site is sloping, but if you pitch your tent with this mind it is not a problem. Pitches are a very good size so plenty of room for our very large tent, sun awning, trailer & car. Our kids (7 & 3) loved the site and made some good friends within a few mins of being there.

Booked for 1 week holiday but had to return home after 5 days.
The site is well run, with friendly warden and staff. Fellow campers all willing to lend a hand. Toilet and shower block is nice and clean but shower cubicles are very small and don't have enough space to hang towels and clothing.
Dog walking area closed from 8p.m to 8a.m ~ is she supposed to wear a nappy during these hours!
Our pitch was on a slight slope~no problem if weather is dry, however there was heavy rain on our 3rd day and all the rain ran downhill. Under the groundsheet was thick slippery mud and small pot holes full of water. Something needs to be done about the drainage on this site.
However, is a good base for visiting the attractions with beautiful scenery and lovely beaches all nearby. Would go again if weather was guaranteed to be dry.

This was our first visit to this site and after a disappointing visit to the sister site we were really impressed, this is a far Superior site. Our pitch was a nice size with a gentle slope but this was not a problem. We had a good view of the new play park which our boys spent hours on. The toilets and showers were modern and clean. I often met the warden in there doing her checks. The site on the whole was very pretty, the pitches are marked out but it did not feel at all regimented. the pitches around the edge had shade from the trees but the ones in the middle were very open. The small shop was well stocked. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside to this site is that the play park is not open until 9.30am which I thought rather late, especially when you are trying to pack up and the kids are bored. We used the pool and club at the Shorefield country park 2 miles down the road and had a lovely time. The kids enjoyed the squirrel club and the arcade with the penny push machines. The coastline along this part of the south is fabulous. We went to highcliff for the day but if you want a more main stream beach there is mudeford or Bournemouth a short car ride away. We will definitely be returning to this site again.

This is one of those great winter sites for those of us who like to camp all year round and enjoy the comforts of a heater and TV, TV reception was the clearest I've yet managed to find. The area used in the winter includes lots of hard standing pitches, the toilet block is never far away from any pitch and was beautifully warm and you can avoid having to traipse there by stepping on grass or mud. There is a road that runs along one side of the site and it wasn't a noisy nuisance in February for someone sleeping in a campervan

Lytton Lawn, hmm what can I say. Had a 5 night break during half term. We arrived after a somewhat nightmare of a time trying to find the site. Towing a 18 foot caravan down small country lanes is no fun when its pitch black. Then having to reverse it because the Lytton Lawn sign does not have a light! That made us miss the turning. Apparently this had happened to another couple who had stopped to help us.
However we managed to unhitch and enjoy our break. There was some road noise a few planes, and some very noisy neighbours who thought it was ok to be up until midnight making a racket! With all that said we moved pitch after a few days to nearer the main entrance. Then we really did enjoy our stay.
It was nice and peaceful. One shower block only had 2 working showers, one broken. The water was hot and it was warm inside. The showers need improving/updating as you did get shower water, shampoo etc come under from the next shower. My daughter and I did have a 45 min wait one morning to shower.
We would go back. A nice break and a good walk to the village. The wardens were friendly and sorted out any problems and were very helpful with directions.

Just returned from a few days at lytton lawns, good sized allocated pitches all with electric hook-up, as we have quite a large tent and there was adequate room for it and room outside for table chairs and the car. There is a slight slope, but not that bad. A small play area at the top of the site, and games room locked overnight, and also a good sized separate field at the bottom of the site for the enthusiastic ball games. We went over to the sister site at Milford, which is much bigger, and has a good sized outdoor pool which you get unlimited access to for free, and an indoor pool which got very crowded. A nice clean site, with everything you need there, good clean wash facilities, laundrette, and a small shop, staff and the warden on site very helpful, but thought £28 per night a bit expensive as other facilities weren't on site, would be nice to be given the choice of using the other sites facilities and charged separately if you want it. But otherwise a nice site, centrally located for easy access to either beaches or the new forest.
