July 2005 Just spent an amazing weekend at Bainland, I can't tell you how much we enjoyed this site, from the lovely kept pitches to the undercover pot washing facilities it was truely fantastic. Although I would give the food in the restaurant/bar a wide berth next time! All in all a great weekend and would not hesitate to spend longer. This site is worth a look at least.

July 2005 Just returned from a weekend away, what a beautiful place! The pitches were extremely roomy. As mentioned before the pool was a bit small and we did have to queue to get in, but we didn't have to queue for too long.
Washing facilities were excellent, there was even a bath!
Will be booking to go again later this year.

May 2005 Nice site, excellent showers/toilets, nice bar (with good food).
Only downside is the price. I found £20+ for one night (van + hookup) quite pricey. Plus the bar was quite expensive.
Pitches are a reasonable size and staff seem helpful. Will go again.

February 2005 This site is bit of a find, one of those places where you feel really comfortable.Superb pitches, lovely clean toilet blocks, indoor pool(though a little small)and a nice bar / restaurant. Prices are a little steep and we have noticed almost stealth like price increases on more than one occasion. The children love being at Bainland and although the amenities are not up to the bigger sites, they have no problem filling the hours. Sometimes you feel the staff are a little `cold` but this hasn`t interfered with our enjoyment. After many visits we decided to store our van in Bainland`s compound. It`s now easier to enjoy this great site.GIVE IT A TRY.

March 2005 Wow...what a fantastic site. We were the only ones camping in a tent, with only a handful of people in caravans, due to winter season. This was great for us as we more or less, had the site to ourselves. With the heated showers, toilets, (even a vanity room, with hairdryer, mirror etc) and laundry room, this made the perfect location for us. (Guess it would get extremely busy in peak season though!) The heated swimming pool is small, but very inviting. Everyone, especially the locals who came to use the pool, where extremely friendly. The walk in the woods was lovely. Prices were quite high, but well worth it. Would DEFINATELY come again, but not in peak season. If you have children, this would make an ideal holiday!!!

March 2005 Just got back from Bainland after 4 lovely days. Wind, snow, hail, rain, sleet, the lot. Didn't spoil it though as it only did these things when we were in the 'van or asleep. Plenty to do here as has been said before. Very clean and tidy and the club is'nt too bad apart from the price of the beer. A tip if you like traditional English pubs/meals, go to the red Lion in Horncastle, £1.38 a pint and a home made meal for only £3.25. Can't beat it! Also do go to The BBMF at Conningsby, even the wife enjoyed the guided tour of Spitfires, Lancs etc...

February 2005 Hi all, just come back from Bainland and had a great weekend there. Site was very clean and tidy and lots to do for our 4 yr old. A bit on the pricey side but worth every penny, we would highly recommend this site to anyone. We are hoping to go back again on May Bank.

February 2005 Just got back from a very enjoyable two Night stay on a super pitch site was very clean and nicely laid out, we were in the area called the 'upper circle'.
Behind us was an area to be used for barbeques and there was a barbi there if you had your own charcoal that you could use.
As a previous poster has already said there is a charge for the pool of £1.50 each if you are in a tourer and the jaccuzi was £3 for a half hour session for up to four people.
Really enyoyed the pool it was lovely and warm but can imagine it being a nightmare when it is busy as it was very small.
Just down into Woodhall there is a fantastic patisserie crammed full of cheese's, meats, cakes, we bought some blue stilton and some meats, the stilton is so creamy and like cheese used to taste, I loved the fact that the shops were interesting and something different from the High St no Marks and Sparks or Woolies here.
Also popped into the larger Town of Horncastle again lots of different shops and got a lovely little lamp for the van from the lighting shop there, the man was so helpful and wanted to put bulbs in etc and light up all the lamps that I was interested in they had lots of tiny little lamps in glass ideal for the middle of the table in your van etc not much bigger than some candle holders, oh and the market day is Thurs there (only a tiny market though) Skegness the seaside resort is about a 40 minute drive away.
We will definitely go back although not in the busy periods though, didn't use the bistro as we cooked in one Night and had a lovely chinese the other, (from next door to the patisserie) one other point mobile signal is non existant on the site so if you are attached to texting it wouldn't suit you LOL.

February 2005 We have been to Bainland quite a few times and have always found the facilities excellent, A word of caution though, I have just returned from a weekend break and on the Saturday afternoon I took my dog for a walk, following the signs for the dog walk, this is a length of path that runs by the surrounding woods, I noticed that due to the high winds we have just had several trees had been uprooted, I went for a closer look and wandered around the woods, after a while I realised I was lost and it took me 90 minutes to find my way out, This I found amusing but it occurred to me that children may not and would become scared.
