We have visited this park over many years, our most recent stay over bonfire weekend 2007. Facilities are as ever good; howwever this park is now very, very expensive! 2 nights, 2 adults, 2 children and 2 small dogs, £92, 16 pounds of which was for the hounds. At 4 pounds per night per dog I really must try to get the dogs to use some of the facilities! they appear to paying for them.
This was certainly my last visit, there are other facilities just as good at a much lower rate in the area.
At these rates a local travel lodge would be a better alternative.

Have stayed on this site several times over the years, and have always found it to be clean and well maintained. It is a very large site, so there was plenty of room. The swimming pool was very good, as was the outdoor childrens play area. Woodhall Spa is a short drive away and is a very nice place with plenty of shops. Overall a good place to visit.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at this site, which we have visited numerous times before and loved. Unfortunately, we are now not in a hurry to return. Although the facilities are good, the kids love it, we feel they have now become greedy with the price of things. 21.00 per night (low season) and extras for anything else. They even charge to use a hosepipe to wash your caravan. Also 5.00 surcharge if you have not vacated by 11am - come on Bainlands, is this really necessary when the pitch is vacant the next day anyway?(don't get 5.00 refund for not turning up till the evening!) Site was the busiest we had ever seen it and our pitch was not what we would have liked, very open and too close to toilets. Toilet drains were smelly, mens toilets were minging, staff were snappy and miserable. No rooms for ball games, resulting in kids playing and hitting caravans and tents and running through people's pitches. Think there are nicer places around which are better value for money.

Shame about the rain, but a nice site with large kids play area, outdoor bowls and chess, tennis courts and trampolines. Indoor swimming pool ok (extra charge). Toilets were clean, there is a good shop that sells lots you need both food wise and for the kids to do, also a small range of camping extras. Large restaurant and bar on site with entertainment, there was a disco and karaoke whilst we were there although a word of warning the bar was quite expensive(5 medium size glasses of coke was 9). This was our first trip out in our tent with 3 kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed it as we didn't need to leave the site. We will be back again.

Visited this site two weeks ago (my first camping experience) for 2 nights with two other families in our three large tents. We were pitched next to the golf course all together which was great as it felt like our own little area. The pitches are large and the grass areas great. You don't feel on top of each other. We were also near to the shower and toilet blocks which helped with 6 small(ish) children. Very clean blocks with family rooms as well. Laundry rooms and washing up rooms as well. No complaints at all. The kids disappeared very quickly on their bikes and we all agreed it felt a very safe site for the children. The large play area was great and kept us all occupied for the afternoon. There are also trampolines that can be hired for half an hour, and a mini golf course. The swimming pool is a little small and a little deep for the smaller people in our group. I think it was 1.2m deep all over and this was a little deep for my 5 and 7 year old. The site only allows 24 people in the pool at a time which is a good idea but meant that our party could not all go in at the same time and others were turned away. We had Sunday dinner in the bar area and the food was excellent. Large portions for a reasonable price. An excellent site in all - will definitely be returning.

I went to Bainlands way before 2007. I spent most of my childhood years there. I loved Bainlands and there was much to do. The night entertainment was brilliant & the people who work there knew me & my family well. I am 17 years of Age & still remember all the good times we had.
The surrounding areas, woodhall spa, tatershall, Horncastle are beautiful places and I have spent many hours playing in Tatershall castle and in Horncastle.
I loved Bainlands it was a brilliant holiday.

First experience for our family camping. Thoroughly enjoyed it and we were very impressed with the site. Toilet/shower blocks were clean and well kept. Lots of amenities on site to keep our two small children occupied (although you had to pay extra for some of them). Small indoors swimming pool which looked very nice if small but we choice to venture into Woodhall Spa itself in search of the outdoor swimming pool at Jubilee Park. For once in June the sun was shining and we had a wonderful afternoon swimming outdoors in England. We will definitely return here again.

Put on side field near reception, felt bit like spare part. Good facilities for children. Showers although clean, water came out in a trickle. Good washing up facilities. Would be better to pitch on lower level at far end of site. We ended up with noisy locals having a really good party - two tents together and at least 5 car loads turned up in the evening. Prices for eating a little dear. Swimming pool small but adequate. Very much a site for caravans. If you can find the right spot not a bad site. Reception staff very very friendly and helpful. Lovely little shop and not too expensive. Tennis, crazy golf, large kids play area.

Visited this site weekend 16/17. When the floods were raging! Not more than a puddle on the pitch, easily overcome problem due the the immense pitch size! We had worried because of new Vermont XL tent (big fella) but again absolutely not a problem. Site staff were helpful, friendly and efficient, facilities second to none with plenty of play area for children, toilets/showers clean and well stocked. Will most definitely be visiting this site again (and again and again). Whatever the weather, there is plenty do see and do here. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND A STAY!

Lovely campsite. We were on the tent field by the beck (look out for midges) as it was bank holiday weekend/school holidays, I thought it would be crowded, but obviously the weather forecast put people off as we had lots of room. Nice clean showers/toilets/washing up areas. Always clean and didn't have to wait. Clubhouse was nice - food a bit pricey but tasted good. Kids had lots to do with the playground - inside and out, table tennis, pool and chess. Pool was a bit small for the size of the site, and there was only 2 changing cubicles, 1 toilet and 1 shower in the ladies changing room and 1 changing cubicle, 1 toilet and 1 shower in the mens. Staff were always helpful - reception will even pop into the shop and get items for you if the shop is shut. Reasonably close to Woodhall Spa, we drove and it only took a few minutes - don't know how long to walk. Cinema in the woods is an experience and the outdoor pool (both at Jubilee Park) are both worth a visit. Overall a great campsite, and we will be visiting again.
