This was our first visit to Bainlands and most definitely wont be our last, the site was very clean and nicely laid out, we used one of the super pitches and it was everything it was promised to be.
The staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble
We went into the restaurant for a meal and the food was very good indeed.
The toilet blocks although small were very clean and nicely laid out
We had a ride down into woodhall and if you have a sweet tooth the cake shop in the village is a must, sheer heaven, next door to it there is the golden dragon Chinese restaurant which is definitely worth a visit. We went there on the Sunday night as the restaurant is not open on site on a Sunday evening the service was excellent I was even given a lesson in using chopsticks!
We did not have any children with us but the site really is geared to wards children with some very nice play equipment

We visited at Easter as a family, 4 adults and three kids in two vans. Overall the site was very good, but the bank holiday charges were exorbitant (£45 per night )on top of this it cost appx £10 for an adult and 3 kids to swim. The bar prices were unbelievable (£3.05 for a pint of beer).
The shower blocks were fairly clean but on occasions the water was lukewarm and the shower heads were so gunged up with limescale the water came out in all directions except where you were standing. I reported this to reception, but they chose to do nothing.
I am sorry to be so negative but it needed to be said, and one wonders how they retain their membership of 'the best of british'

Love, love love this site. We stayed there Easter 08 and then Feb 09. It is beautifully laid out with spacious pitches (the super-pitches are great). The facilities are great, indoor heated pool (which was undergoing renovation while we were there) indoor soft play area. Fab adventure playground. Indoor tennis pavilion, crazy golf, etc etc!
The Bistro staff are super-friendly and the food is pretty good if a little simple - good Sunday carvery. Great cycle routes around the site.
If you want a site which will give you plenty of options in bad weather as well as great area to explore in better weather, Bainlands is for you, We look forward to returning next year

Brilliant site very clean all round.Good food. Plenty of places to go that are not too far away. And not too expensive. If eating in the village check the prices there before you order, as it cost us £25.30 for 2 soups bread no butter.Microwaved pie frozen chips and peas. And another plate of pig swill also 2 teas made with parboiled water.I don't want to mention the name of the cafe. But the site as I said earlier is Brilliant.Cant wait to go back.

Bainland was only our 2nd site to visit when we started touring and what a good site. The staff are helpful and nice, the bar & restaurant are clean and serve good food. Although the swimming pool is small and you have to pay for an hours slot it is a nice area that we used daily. The pitches are very nice with Water, Waste and electric. Plenty of space between caravans for your caravan, awning, car and kids play area. Overall the site is peaceful and very clean and tidy. There is also 18 hole golf course.

Been on this site a lot of times. Great for the kids. Pitches are very private with conifer hedging. Toilets are very clean and tidy. There is a pub on site which was very good a few years ago when they had a resident dj and the meals were good again a few years ago. But apart from that the site is a good one, just needs to put better entertainment in pub/club for all the families that use the site.

It was our first visit as a caravanner, the site was excellent, great pitches and if you have children lots of entertainment. Toilet and showers were excellent and very clean. H orncastle is only a few miles down the road and a nice place to visit. Couldn't have picked a better site for our first visit, will definitely return.

Stayed here for the first time in a tent, the last time was in a caravan. But that was fifteen years ago!
The site is immaculate with excellent/clean facilities only a short walk away. The site is well lit, but not too bright, just enough to stop you tripping over things :)
There is plenty to do on the site for the kids, but it didn't get too noisy even though it was quite full.
We were on a grass pitch which was plenty large enough for our big tent, alhough there are gravel pitches we could have used, but tents are for grass!
The only thing was the weather was a bit hit and miss. But you can't blame that on the site!
It's worth going for a walk in the woods that are next to the site, but be prepared to get lost!
It wasn't the cheapest of places, but reasonable, so would go again.

Absolutely brilliant site, with every thing, immaculate showers, toilets, hot water, large adventure play ground with zip slide, swings ,slide, wooden fort and more, trampolines, all floor covered in thick sand to prevent accidents crazy golf 75p, inside soft play area with ball pools open from early till late at night, swimming pool. Tennis courts. And more.
We had a large electric pitch for our 12 man tent with loads of space in top field next to park, indoor play area, pool, shops ,there is a forest at bottom of park if you fancy walks.(couldn't ask for more).
We took our dog, and 4 kids from 15 y old 11y,8y and 2y they never got bored, there is a lovely village thats 2 mins in car ,longer if you walk but a footpath at side of road all way there, also there is an outside pool thats cheap about 2mile away.
Will definitely go back again

Our first trip to Bainland was not a disappointment we only stayed the one night after having to cut the holiday short due to work issues but we did enjoy the 2 days! The outside games are fantastic for the kids and keep them entertained for hours on end with a large playground, pool tables, arcade, ping pong, giant chess, croquet, bowles and Golf (Crazy, putting & full 18 holes!) All the facilities were very clean apart from the outside area of the bar which was the only let down. Because tables were not cleared and cleaned the wasps and flys own the territory with my son being stung within 5 minutes of stepping outside. Drink and food prices are very reasonable and of good quality. A short drive away is Tattershall Castle, worth a visit the kids 8, 6 & 4 were kept entertained dressing up in period clothes playing with period toys and also learning to spin wool.
All in all a very nice relaxing weekend if you disregard work and the wasps, we will go back and hope that the wasps are not an issue next time.
