Just returned from a 4 night stay. Booking in was very quick and easy. We'd booked a Super Serviced pitch which was very spacious and no dearer than any other campsite that we've stayed at.
The toilet/shower block was cleaned regularly and there was plenty of hot water.
The site was well kept and tidy although the table tennis and pool tables were a little on the tired side.
All the staff we spoke to were very polite and helpful.
All in all we had no complaints and would definitely return again.

Having stayed at Bainland, I felt I had to write a review of the park because we loved it!
My family and I had a great time. We were put in middle island (the middle of the park), and it was close to everything.
There was a lovely family near us who we immediately got on with. We stayed for 4 nights at a reasonable price. Definitely want to come back in the holidays.
The bistro food was great, for a change it was reasonably priced. Went swimming and had a session in the jacuzzi too. All the facilities were up to the 5 star status.
The ladies on reception were really kind to move us to our requested pitch on the day as nobody was on it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Bainland to anyone!

1) rubbish bins always seemed as though they never got emptied, all over site they were full.
2) the site in general looks tired, considering its just the beginning of the season, all the buildings looked shabby on the outside, the grass in our area was poor with big patches of bare earth. The putting green was longer than my grass at home, loose slabs on the patio area made great potential for slips trips and falls. The equipment for the in-house sports such as table tennis and crazy golf appeared to be many seasons old- you had to leave £5 deposit for them.
3) swimming pool had to be booked- not unusual I know but it was very very small.
4) our toilet block was not cleaned enough, it was a very good block with free showers, free dish washing area, private sinks for having shaves etc, smashing facilities but not cleaned enough or cleaned properly.
On a plus note
1) restaurant was priced well and the food fab
2) good on site shop, again priced no more than the local at home, at last a shop not ripping of a captive audience !
3) bar prices same as pub down the road, great a place were you can have a beer and not be stung !
4) great play area - our kids loved it.
We stayed from 1st june to 4th 2011 and got fab weather, we paid £90 for our stay and it was good but I just though the 5 star rating was not 5 star, th potential is there,

We booked for 6 nights over Easter. Booking in was simple and the pitch given was very large. It was a fully serviced pitch with water, drainage, Chemical waste and TV connection.
The site had a lot of facilities, however it is expensive. The park was clearly very well looked after once but now seemed a little tired and in need of a makeover. The pool was extra and the changing facilities may be classed as poor.
Another issue was the toilet and shower facilities. Apart from the fact that there was clearly not enough of either even when the site was half full, they were not as clean as they could be. A deep clean is needed.
The WIFI was hit and miss.

Just returned from a three nights visit to this site.
Was really easy to find and check in was fast and efficient.
Drove round to our pitch and set up, shame that no warden checked to see if we were okay.
Site was spotlessly clean and pitch was well located in between the shower block and club house. Pitches are set in twos on the hard standing with ample space for vehicles at the side, these are surrounded by hedges giving lots of privacy.
Has a small shop on the site although has limited opening hours, though essentials can also be obtained from reception.
The swimming pool was great for the kids but could do with some maintenance on the showering area.
Main shower/toilet block was very clean and warm.
Good washing facilities for pots with lots of hot water.
Great walks to be had.
Club house was very quite, we were the only people in on the Sunday night, but this could be down to the time of year.
Overall would recommend this site for people looking for a quite break in a nice location.

We have just returned from a five day break for New Year. We have a had a great time, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilities are good, showers and toilets are clean. The pitches are big and the super pitches have water, waste and toilet waste on the pitches. The food was nice,we tried the full English Breakfast and also had a Carvery on New Year's day,the Carvery was really nice. The beer prices are a bit dearer than a normal pub but that is expected on campsites. There was plenty of entertainment on over our stay with a quiz night and race night being just two of them.
This site is set up for families with plenty for the kids to do especially in the better weather.
Woodhall Spa is 1.5 miles away,it is only a small village but there are two supermarkets for the essentials.Horncastle is 5 miles away with a Tesco,Boston and Lincoln are both approx 20 miles away.
We will definitely be returning this year and will be back for New Year 2011

We met up with other members of our extended family there - we ourselves are relatively new to touring - this being only our third trip away with the van.
An efficient check in, saw us directed down to our superpitch, where thankfully we were joined moments later by a helpful member of their Grounds Team, offering assistance in getting the caravan set up. The site is huge compared to thers we stayed at - the pitches are spacious and very well laid out from what we saw of site. Toilet blocks (3 in total) were clean (though the Touring Park was only 2/3 full at the time) and showers were hot. The blocks were cleaned at least once each day too which was nice.
The site has an indoor heated pool - perhaps a little on the small side, but the kids loved it - especially the jacuzzi. As we were 'all inclusive', we didn't have to pay any extra to use Bainlands facilities - the kids surely must have got their moneys worth - we barely saw them for hours! It was bliss :)
We had a family meal (12 of us) in the main bistro - found the staff to be very attentive (Gavin was a star with the kids!) and the food, which was all homemade, was delicious. The quiz night afterwards topped the night off beautifully for us all.
On the whole, we loved our stay at Bainlands. Matthew and his team made us feel very welcome and we are happy to recommend the Park to any other nervous campers!

Went to bainland to try out our weekend tent. It was monday so park fairly empty. Arrived at 11.30 and they let us straight on the pitch which was great.
The electric tent pitches are mainly pea shingle with a grass area to park your car but the warden said if we wanted we could park our car on the shingle and put the tent on the grass.
There are lots of facilities such as small soft play area, giant chess, bowls, croquet, small arcade, indoor swimming pool, crazy golf and trampolines.
The pitch fee is expensive at a whopping 40 pounds a night and the facilities could do with a little updating considering the amount we are paying I don't think it would be a lot to ask.
But putting those problems aside the showers are hot and free and there is plenty to do. Woodhall is just great too you must visit the deli and cake shop, you'll know what I mean when you go there and there is a fab old fashioned kinema in the woods.
Its like going back in time, just like the rest of woodhall really. It really is a great place to visit.

We visited this site for a 2 night weekend break and were very impressed, by the facilities. The tent field was a large field and there was plenty of space for the children to play as all the families were playing football cricket etc.
It was a short walk to the shower block which was very clean and the owners of the site left a mop and bucket each morning to enable you to mop and muddy foot prints away after showering which I thought was a fantastic idea as I think there is nothing worse than having a shower with a dirty floor and grass present!
The site is fantastic for the kids there is a small indoor pool which my husband took are 2 eldest to and they enjoyed a adventure playground, a club house which as a small play area under a canopy and table tennis, a trampoline crazy golf. This is a great site to keep the children occupied if the weather isn't too good.
Woodhall Spa is a beautiful area as we have visited numerous times before and the site is not too far from an outdoor heated pool and park which when the weather is nice is fantastic. It is about a 45 minute drive from the coast, and we love that area of lincolnshire. And we will probably visit many times again.
The only down we found with the site and not necessarily down side on the Saturday there was a bbq night and some caribbean entertainment and the music was quite load but a lot of families went to, but that isn't necessarily our thing, but fantastic if you are looking for evening entertainment. And the field we were on, we had a bit of an ant problem, but the end of the day, in the middle of a field in a tent, you are going to get some creepy crawlers, but this hasn't put us off this site.

I have just returned from Bainland having had a lovely stay. The surrounding area of Woodhall Spa is beautiful.
The campsite itself is well maintained and the shower block and toilets were clean at all times.
I have 3 children aged 4, 8 and 12 and they all loved the site and enjoyed the playground, trampoline (although my trampoline at home has more bounce) and football pitches.
There was a large area in front of the tent so we were not on top of each other, and the children had plenty of room to play where we could see them.
The pool was small and sessions had to be booked in advance, but it was warm and at no time whilst I was there was it overbooked.
I paid £45 per night for a pitch with electric hook up and thought that this was overpriced. The site is on the verge of looking tired, but this wouldn't put me off going again, but the price would.
