Excellent site, would recommend it to anyone. This was our second visit to Bainland, with our two teenage children, and it was as enjoyable as the first. Large pitches in bays of 4 (half gravel ), plenty of room to set up an awning and for the car. We only had the basic pitch, you can also pay for a superior pitch with its own water and waste areas, however there are ample water/waste areas around the site.

Good toilet facilities clean warm and with toilet roll! good washing area and showers. Ample washing area for pots etc. Great 18 hole golf course, cost about £5 and you can hire equipment if needed, available for all the family. There is also a crazy golf course as an alternative! or tennis. Plenty to do for the kids, trampolining, games room, and an adventure play ground. Feels Very safe. Nice indoor swimming pool, cost about £1.75, great especially in hot weather.

Small shop on the site selling food items, gifts etc. Reception staff helpful, and there is a tourists information shop on the site if you need to find out what is going on around the local area. There is a nice bar area, with entertainment / disco / Karaoke most evenings. Also meals including breakfast are served at the club house, reasonably priced. We had the breakfast, and would have it again.

The local town Woodhouse spa really nice place. Great Indian restaurant would recommend it for fantastic food, have been there on a number of occasions also a Chinese but we have not sampled the food there!

We went here with a group of friends which consisted of 3 tents and 2 caravans, our ages varied from 3 years to 60 years.
Although the price was quite expensive the price goes up a lot when it is a bank holiday, we all really enjoyed this site and have all said we would go again (but not on a bank holiday). The amenities are first class, very clean. Plenty of baths, showers, toilets and family changing rooms.
The golf was a hit with ours boys which ages ranged from 15 years to 21 years. All in all this site is well worth a visit.
Woodhall Spa itself is nice to walk around and we had an excellent meal at the Golf Hotel- 2 courses for £8.50, the meals were lovely. They even provided a separate room for us so we could bring in our dog.
The wash pots section is even enclosed so no getting cold there.
We enjoyed just try yourselves!

We thoroughly enjoyed this site,. The pitches were huge, ours was part gravelled which they all seemed to be unless you opt for a super pitch which is hard standing. Toilets were clean and there seemed to be plenty of blocks scattered about. The indoor pool is great and really warm the only concern was the changing rooms were tiny which could be a problem in high season because as well as touring pitches they also have statics and bungalows to hire. We will definitely be back but out of season as there is plenty to do in wet weather IE. pool, indoor play, games room and covered tennis courts .....well worth a visit!

This site is very clean. It has nice big super pitches and has other facilities such as swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a bar/restaurant as well. It has a golf course and other sports facilities. All in all it is well worth a visit at any time of the year.

This site excellent, it has forests to walk in, a golf course, small swimming pool, brilliant adventure playground, tennis e.tc. a bistro/bar seving meals, plus lots more. Even with all this the place felt unspoilt and clean. The site is well laid out with hedges between groups of large sized, flat, part gravel pitches so if you are in a group it is ideal, you can have your own area as we did, and everywhere is well lit.

There are a couple of well lit covered seating areas to have a bar-b-que, which was useful to us as it rained one evening. The toilets and showers were warm, clean and tidy, and not far from any pitch. We were very happy with the charge of £14.50 per night for two of us, showers free but extra charges for golf, pool e.t.c.

Woodhall Spa is about one and a half miles away. We will be visiting this site again for sure with the bonus that it's not far from home, it is a good one for autumn/winter, with such good pitches e.t.c.

Upon arriving we were greeted with the news that the area we were meant to be staying had been flooded, "oh no what a start" raced through our mind...

To their credit the plots they provided us with were outstanding, a very generous size catering easily for an 8 person tent. They also provided us with 2 plots next to each other as we requested (for 2 x 8 man tents from which we sectioned off into our own little village)

The campsite had everything you could possibly require - toilets/showers every few hundred yards and very clean, bar, shop, indoor pool, bowls, playground.

The only grudge we had was with the onsite bar which advertised foods but had none of our 1st, 2nd or 3rd choices.... A short walk into woodhall spa and we got platefuls of food for a bargain price....

With the campsite being well located in lincolnshire, there is plenty for all ages to do - a quick trip by car to the seaside or even pop to lincoln for the day. We actually came from lincoln and discovered that you dont have to travel very far to find areas of interest and beauty such as woodhall...

A superb site. Even though pricey. We took our folder there for 3 nights. Didn't want EHU but it still cost the best part of 60 quid ! You also have to pay for the pool etc, etc. All in all for your hard earned you get large flat pithes. Spotless modern, warm showers & toilets. Water points are dotted every 20yds around the place,( great for lazy gits like me!} My girls (aged 2&5) loved it and never moaned about "nufink 2 doo dad". Turn left out the gate 1/2mile on your right is a very good Chinese takeaway. A very family friendly disco runs in the clubhouse every night. We enjoyed ourselves and if in this neck of the woods again will return. THUMPERS score 8/10

Very clean and tidy site with exceptional washrooms.
Plenty of activities for the children, only problem being that nearly all of these are chargeable. I did think that £3 for the trampoline was a bit steep. I also think that the swimming pool should be free of charge. The golf course was good fun but not particularly well maintained. Despite these minor criticisms we enjoyed it and will return.

This site can only be described as over sanitized. All pitches are gravel, lawns edges are trimmed to death, and there are too many signs on everything. This site is for the scrubbed up 4 by 4 middle class drivers and their manicured wives and their squeaky clean children. We paid £58 for two nights.(2 adults and 3 children)The showers were hot but free. The hair dryer needed a token from reception (miles away when you have just had a shower) The very warm swimming pool was £2.75. The sauna was £4.75 extra. A truly lovely site for the luxury caravan/camper van. This is the Trusthouse Forte of campsites. Back to Back camping with no ball games and bright electric lights in between pitches and along all roads and paths, Staff were very cold. no welcome smiles and enjoy ya stay.

First camp this year. Took my oh who has never slept in a tent in his life!

We were both very impressed with this site. Well set out. Lots of space per tent. There were well placed toilet/shower blocks, there was a block near by wherever you were pitched. Very clean with lots of free hot water. The shower cubicles were large and some of the handbasins had showere curtains at the back for privacy. The site itself was well maintained and clean. Didnt try the bistro but it looked nice and clean. Small swimming pool which I was told was lovely and warm. Plenty of activities for kiddies and adults alike. Peaceful site. Small shop which sold basics etc. A lot of the campers and caravaners returned to this site time and time again. Bill and I would certainly return.
