Have stayed here several times during the winter months but this time found the site to be very untidy and in need of some t. L. C.
We stayed for 4 nights on this visit and during this time there were 2 days when the toilet block was not cleaned. The second toilet block was closed for work to be carried out and the site was very busy.
The small town of Moreton in Marsh is only a 10 minute stroll so very convenient and you catch a bus at the park entrance for Stratford or Broadway.
We will probably return but think the club could do with spending some time and money on this heavily used site.

This was our first visit to this site, and we would definitely go back.
Spent 4 nights in half term before going on to Broadway for 4 nights.
PItches were good size I thought, some reviewers have said small, but we have a large 8 metre motorhome plus full size awning & had no problem.
Wardens very friendly & helpful, advised us which pitches would be best for us due to size & then let you pick your own. Hard to get satellite signal but just used aerial hook up.
Site is very nice & tidy & facilities clean++.
We have 2 large dogs & the dog exercise area on site is a really good size.
Also a 7 year old girl, who loved the play area.
Moreton In Marsh is a short walk away & lovely. Can recommend the Redesdale Arms, fantastic steak! Also the snug bar at the White Hart Hotel, both really good food.
The Batsford Arboretum definitely worth a visit, nice walk form site across fields, & the CAKE when you get there is amazing!
VERY VERY muddy due to rain & habitat. Hence the MARSH in the name, but nothing good wellies cant cope with!
A gate from the dog walk to the footpath would have been helpful, save walking into the village & around, otherwise A*.

The site is easily accessible and upon arrival was welcomed by a friendly team, we were advised to find a pitch and let them know where we were. All pitches are hard standing although when we went certain parts of the site was slightly flooded.
The shower block is very clean, warm and the showers powerful. There is a good sized dog walk although at the time of stay was flooded and an excellent children's play area, poor access to the recycling facilities for some as it was positioned just at the front of the site. We recommend to pitch away from the road as noisy even on Christmas Day.
The town is very pretty with a supermarket, Tesco local & small CO-OP, the pubs were mostly dog friendly even whilst eating, a special mention to the Redesdale Arms as the food was an excellent quality and dog friendly plus there was a discount to CC members.
It is worth a visit to Oxford via the train from Moreton only cost £9 each return and a good day out
Overall a very good site with easy access to the village

We stayed here on the way back from Brighton during our normal summer vacation and had also stayed in February in the snow, both stays were excellent with the usual standards expected from CC Site. Moreton itself is lovely little town within easy walking distance (5 mins) affording all the usual shops. A visit must be made to Bourton on the water and Stow on the wold both a few miles away by car.
To sum up:-
Brilliant site Brilliant amenities Brilliant play area Wardens also Brilliant Will be back in 2013.

We drove through Moreton in Marsh on our way to Devon and decided to stay a couple of nights on our way home to break the journey as it is such a pretty town. The site is a 5 minute stroll from the site.
There is plenty of room between the pitches which vary in size, we had to park the car in front of our unit as there was only room for the caravan and canopy on the pitch.
There is a fantastic children's play area and a very large fenced dog exercise field. The reception were selling fresh bread and croissants each morning.
Moreton has an abundance of pubs and little shops, most of the pubs being dog friendly. It is a good site for exploring the Cotswolds being very close to Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water.
We will be returning to this lovely area and probably this site for a longer stay.

Moreton in Marsh, Caravan Club Site. I really must change my name from Disappointed2012 as I was not disappointed at all with this site. This is a well run, peaceful, site with all the facilities you come to expect of the Caravan Club.
The hard standing pitches for caravans are wide with room for your awning, if you have one, with the car going across the front of your unit.
The only downside to the pitch we were on was the surface which, when it rained, turned a very pale fawny colour and set really hard when drying out. The bottom of the awning and the ground sheet needed scrubbing when we got home.
The gap between each pitch is the safe width it should be. If you've never tried one of these sites then become a member and experience it for yourself (they are as cheap as the commercial sites especially in high season). Its a shame they don't have them in every area you want to visit.
This site is within easy walking distance of this quaint little town and its shops. Don't expect dept stores or large supermarkets as there aren't any but what shops there are are more than adequate for your immediate needs.
We used this site to go out and about to visit various places one of which was Blenheim Palace (buy one ticket and exchange it for a yearly pass, no extra charge).
The day we went there we had an added bonus in that a very large Triathlon event was taking place and, if you follow this sport, you will know the name of the Brownlee brothers (they are in the 2012 GB Olympic Team).

As usual, being a caravan club site it is very well kept, the toilet/shower facilities always kept clean and we went the Jubilee weekend which was a particularly wet weekend.
Staff always friendly, good drainage, the park is great for the children, crazy golf too, although we didn't play. We think the dog walk is one of the best we have seen a great area to exercise the dog.
Only a 5-10 minute walk to Moreton-in-the-Marsh village.

We have just returned from Moreton Caravan Club Site. It was our first Caravan Club Site and we found it to be the high standard we hoped it would be.
The check in was very professional. We were told to find a pitch we liked and return to tell reception which one we had chosen. There have been other reviews on this website regarding the road noise. In my opinion all the pitches would suffer from a level of road noise. Having said that, its not over-bearing or all day long. You are protected by well established trees. We did not find the road noise a problem.
The facilities were spotless.
We did try the Monday chip van which was cod and chips for £5. A bit too greasy for our liking but that's only my opinion. One mans meat and all that.
You are very close to Moreton town. A 5-10 min walk form the site.
We frequented most of the pubs in Moreton but favoured The Snug at The White Hart Hotel.
We ate at The Spice Room Curry House and found this to be a bit of a gem. Good food, good service and nice surroundings. Bear Cotswold stone walls. Very nice. The view from the street is of the waiting area and does not do the eating area justice. Go and check it out.
As the transport links at Moreton are so good we did not use the car once in the week we were there.
The 801 bus goes to Stow, Bourton and eventually Cheltenham. All good places to stop and visit.
We also used the train and went to Oxford for the day. Another worthwhile trip.
All in all a nice trip away. We will be using the Caravan Club again.

Our second visit to this fabulous site. Large site but doesn't feel like it. Pitch sizes are a lot smaller than normal caravan club sites, cars have to park across the front of the pitch.
Town so close to walk into, flat with a good footpath. Budgens at the far end of town is the better supermarket for choice of goods but a bit more expensive than the Tesco (which didn't even sell shampoo) and the co-op.
Wardens lovely, friendly and helpful. All facilities spotless, hot showers.
This will be a site we visit time and time again.

The best caravan site we have been on so far. The site was packed, no wonder why Close to moreton in marsh only 10min walk away, lots of shops and pubs market on Tuesday. Good bus and train services. The best shower Facilities lots of room and plenty of pegs to hang towels ect. Good size dog run. Kids should be happy as well with crazy golf and play area and a big field to play on. The only negative was the pitches are a bit close together and there is some road noise, but this wouldn't put us off coming back.
