We live less than 30 mins from this site, but frankly the £37. 90 site fee is less tnan it would cost us for a taxi after a special meal out in Moreton so we thought why not !

It was the Saturday before Mother’s Day so the site was very busy with limited free pitches when we arrived on the dot of 1pm. We weren’t right by the road but it was still pretty noisy - aim for a pitch right at the back for true peace and quiet.

However, the benefit of the location is that you are 10 mins walk from the centre of the town, and the path is suitable for wheelchairs or buggies - there’s also a nice ‘off road’ path that goes to Moreton one way and to the sublime Batsford Arboretum (lovely plant centre and superb cafe) the other.

Moreton has great public transport links and a variety of pubs, shops and cafes, supermarkets plus a weekly market. The site itself is classic CAMC, mainly hard standing pitches - quite close together -, and with clean facilities which are more than adequate even when it’s busy.

There’s a good play area, and a smallish enclosed dog walk- although there’s such fabulous walking in the area it should only be needed for last thing etc.

Recommended as a great base for exploring the Cotswolds.

 Fantastic site. Spacious pitches.

An easy walk into the town which had lots of eateries. Food vans visit on Friday (Sri Lankan) and fish and chips on Friday - we sampled the latter -great portions sizes and tasty food.

Site staff are friendly and welcoming.

We stayed here for 3 nights in between Christmas and New Year.

Arrived 10 minutes early, apologised as we'd been told off at Broadway for doing the same, and the welcome couldn't have been any different. Friendly and very efficient wardens seeing in LOTS of arrivals at the same time. Very well organised.

We chose our pitch and settled in. Within an hour of us being there the site was literally packed. It's VERY popular.

Both facilities blocks were always very warm and clean.

Plenty of water points around the site but bins/recycling in one area near the entrance.

Some road noise but nothing too bad for us.

Easy walk into the market town and plenty of places to eat, drink and shop (including a Tesco Express and larger Co-op near the railway station). Can recommend the Spice Room Indian - delicious! Had Sunday roast at the Bell Inn (lovely, friendly pub in town) but a £19. 95 a head found it a bit too expensive.

We walked to Batsford Garden Centre (great coffee!) from the site, via the main road (pavement all the way), rather than use the fields this time due to the mud! We also caught the bus to Bourton-on-the-Water for a few hours - it was absolutely packed!

We loved this site. We stayed on a premium pitch which was enormous -had a bench/umbrella/brick barbecue stand. A bit more expensive-only 2 on the site but well worth it.

As others have said it’s very well positioned for public transport from the town itself which is an easy walk. The nearby garden centre is a joy once you’ve found it on the way to Batsford.

Dogs abound here and sometimes the barking chorus can be a bit unnerving but mostly they were on leads.

The children’s play park is brilliant if a bit out of the way near the pods etc. Plenty of coffee cafes, pubs, restaurants in Moreton itself and lots to discover in the local Cotswold towns.

Don’t bother going to Chipping Norton unless you are a fan of heavy traffic and difficult to cross roads-much more of a working town rather than a Cotswold gem.

Broadway was bustling with a food festival, Bourton was jammed but our favourite visit was to Stow on the Wold. East to park in the big Tesco.

Recommended as a base to visit the Cotswolds.

Usual high Caravan and Motorhome club standards. But in addition this site is well located a very short walk from Moreton in le Marsh.

The site is especially dog friendly with a spacious off lead area and numerous walks and paths from the site.

I also noticed a very well equipped playground on site. Which was bigger than normally found on CAMC sites.

Stayed as part of a club meet.

Typical Caravan Club Site with all its rules. Very regulated pitches.

Very good and clean facilities.

Clean, neat and tidy site.

No TV signal. No free wifi. 4g signal ok.

We visited Moreton as our very first trip with our new caravan.

The site was easy to find and access.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The site is well kept and facilities good. We had our dog with us who loved the dog walking area.

The small shop had most essential items needed on first day.

Supermarkets are within walking distance or short car drive away.

Remember to take hard ground pegs and decent mallett. Would be my only advice.

Typical CAMC site with good wardens and food vans on Friday and Saturday and with clean facilities and spotlessly clean site overall.

Facilities are good and kept clean and the site is ideal for walking to the town of Moreton which is small but has enough in it, pubs etc to keep you happy over a weekend.

Some cycling required on A roads to get to quieter country roads and lots of walking routes available.

Some road noise from the A44 but nothing to distracting as long as mot on the first pitches along the edge of A44.

Overall great weekend trip site and will be back, as first cost, yes the prices are going up but try and get a B&B or hotel in Moreton or anywhere in the Cotswolds for the prices of the campsite, no way you could, so for me its okay.

Nice tidy typical Caravan ad Motorhome site close to Moreton in Marsh town with lots of pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Great for us motorhomers to get to easily.

Walking to Batsford is nice but was very wet when we went.

This was probably our fifth visit to this lovely area and we enjoyed it just as much as previous visits.

The site was well kept and spotlessly clean as usual.

We walked into town each day and enjoyed the wonderful Tuesday market and bought some nice fresh produce and some handy kitchen gadgets.

We were sorry to see the Budgens shop had closed, but the replacement Coop was excellent.

Sadly, we only managed one cycle ride this time, up to Blockley, Chipping Campden and over the Shipston on Stour and back. Lovely scenery and generally quiet lanes.

Oh yes, the pizzas from the 'Alfresco' van were as delicious as ever.

It's a shame that the cost of the site has shot through the roof and there was lots of talk about it being far too expensive.
