We only joined the Caravan Club this year and this was our first visit to one of their sites and I have to say was very impressed.

I was slightly put off at first that you couldn't reserve a pitch and I found getting there late on the Friday of bank holiday weekend quite stressful, knowing we had to pick a pitch at random. Prior knowledge of the site layout is very handy which we didn't have

When we got into it we realised there are a few pitches in perfect spots that we would have liked, but quickly got into the system and realised that the majority of pitches were the same. Our friends were there the same weekend and we would have liked to be next door to them, but we realised that everyone feels the same and reserved pitches just wouldn't work.

Site was immaculate as were the facilities, large deep sinks in the pot wash, boiling hot water and exceptionally clean. Showers and toilets the same a joy to use.

Grounds immaculate with several staff working throughout the day cleaning emptying bins etc.

Great position for a stroll into Moreton which had everything you needed, shops, boutiques, charity shops, pubs, a large Tesco express and Co Op.

Lots of places to visit, we went to Bourton and Slaughterhouse and loved them both.

Wardens very helpful. Free late checkout until 4pm. Well manned reception / information room. Park, crazy golf and dog walk. Lots of dog walkers and children, but you could hear a pin drop after about 8pm.

Would definitely revisit and am now a great fan of the Caravan Club. We met some lovely friendly people and families and the weather was dry, so bonus !

Our visit was during a very wet few days, but as ever the caravan club site was immaculate with groundsmen working all day long.

The Shower blocks were lovely, they seemed very new and there were plenty of cubicles.

Reception were very welcoming and pleasant with plenty of information about the local area as you would expect.

Moreton is very short walk (10 mins max). It would be suitable for disabled and is buggy friendly as there are pavements all the way.

Moreton itself is nice with several pubs and restaurants as well as interesting shops and three supermarkets (two small). Sadly there is a high density of traffic, and it probably needs a bypass, but a nice town nonetheless.

There is plenty to see and do nearby, moreton has a railway station, and there is a bus stop right outside the site.

A fish and chip van visits on Wednesday and Friday.

Highly recommended.

This is a large caravan club site situated just a short walk from Moreton in Marsh town centre. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful and they sell a small range of provisions in the shop including milk and local eggs. On Fri, Sat and Sun they also sell freshly baked baguettes and croissants between 0830-1000hrs and there is a fish and chip van that visits on a Friday evening.

The site facilities are of the normal high standards with 2 toilet blocks that were always spotless with excellent baby / toddler washrooms. There is a good children's play area with a small football field and a crazy golf course.

The pitches are nearly all hard standing and rock pegs are a must as the ground can get very hard. We did feel that the pitches were quite close together, and smaller, than other CC sites that we have stayed at which does make it feel a little more claustrophobic. However this is the only negative we could think of!

The local town centre has a nice range of small shops and we would recommend a visit to the Cotwsold cheese company which is one of the first shops on the left as you enter the high street from the site.

For those that like a walk from the town centre follow the footpath that starts at the end of the side road by the Co-Op. This will take you around the back of the CC site and across some lovely farm land to the Batsford Arboretum. The walk is only about 2 miles and the Arboretum has a nice cafe selling locally sourced food.

Have just returned from a weeks stay at this site and I can't say a bad word about it.

The toilet blocks are kept immaculate, as one would expect on a CC site, there is a separate dog walking area and a play ground with swings and climbing frames for kids.

Its quite a large site but you never feel like people are on top of you.

Moreton is only a short walk from the site and offers plenty of places to eat or to enjoy a cream tea in the afternoon.

Birdland at Bourton on Water is only a short drive as is the Cotswold Wildlife park.

This was our first visit to this CC Site which I think might be one of their biggest. We were very lucky with amazing weather the whole ten days.

As you would expect the wardens were friendly and the shower blocks immaculate. I don't understand the comments about toilet closing times, I don't think 10am is early! - and there was an alternative

The vast majority of pitches were hardstanding and I think most if not all had hook-ups.

I didn't think the pitches were that big. Really just enough room for tent, awning and car on the end. There was a nice green space next to each pitch to make up for that, just right for me to eat my porridge.

Apparently the dog walk is very good and there is a large play area with some bits and pieces.

A chippie comes in, Tues for curry and Fri for fish and chips which was nice.

Moreton-in-Marsh is ten minutes down the road and I enjoyed the walk in for newspaper and rolls every morning.

There is a Tesco Express and Co-op there with a Budgens large supermarket at the other end of town.

There is a deli/cheese shop, a butchers and a bakers with loads of teashops and restaurants. Also a few pubs.

There is far too much of interest locally to list here, especially the walking, but a bit of research before you go will show you. Special mention though to Gloucester and Tewkesbury Cathederals.

There is a bus to Stratford from outside the site gate. It's a long, winding but lovely journey but not impressed with Stratford.

Now the down side. We played the game and arrived after the time stated and found the site was almost full with the only spaces down by the road. You really don't want to end up there. I reckon I'm and early riser at 6. 30am but I was being woken at 5. 30/6am by the hgvs trundling past the window. I wouldn't say this ruined the holiday but it certainly lessened our enjoyment.

For this reason it's unlikely we will return even though you can hear the sea lions at night.

This is an ideal site for a winter stay. The facilities block is lovely and warm. The showers are hot and don't have those push-buttons to keep them going. Although the site is currently under going some updating and one half is closed off, there is still plenty of room and you can find a pitch well away from the main road.

The site is a short walk from the town where there are shops, cafes, pubs and supermarkets.

The railway station is also within walking distance with trains to Worcester, Malvern Hereford or Oxford (to name a few). There is a bus-stop outside the site for Stratford-upon-Avon.

You can walk from the site to Batsford Arboretum which is worth visiting at any time of the year. It has a new cafe with fabulous views.

This site is under an hours drive from our home but feels like another world. The site is in a superb location only 5 minutes walk from the quaint Cotswold town of Moreton. The town itself is really nice with many pubs allowing dogs in and plenty of tearooms and restaurants to choose from. There are also lots of independent shops. There was also a Tesco Express and A Budgens in the main High Street.

The site itself was lovely and one of my favourite Caravan Club sites so far. Had a lovely chat with one of the assistant wardens who made a fuss of our dog and made us feel really welcome. We love the policy of the Caravan Club allowing you to choose your own pitch. It was Halloween weekend when we stayed and many of the units were in the ‘spirit’ of things with some spookily decorated units! As you would expect from a Caravan Club site the facilities were spotless with all the usual laundry/washing up/toilet block etc. The pitches were not massive but nicely separated into little cul de sacs. I think a little more hedging may have improved the privacy of the pitches but on the whole there were OK. The site was a lot larger than we were expecting with 2 toilet blocks and motorhome points. We loved the dog walk at the back of the site where we could let our dog off her lead for a bit of socialisation and running around. I think there may be some road noise from pitches close to the perimeter but it was very quiet where we were.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night away in the Cotswolds and will definitely return without a doubt.

Fabulous. We loved the site, loved the location, love Moreton in Marsh, we will return again and again. Our pitch was in a quiet location away from the main road (I would imagine it being quite noisy closer to the road).

The pitches are not the biggest we have had but all were in little cul de sac areas so you don't feel on top of each other. Showers/toilets clean.

We had a nice walk around the nearby arboretum and were really blessed with a lovely sunny and warm October weekend. The town is brilliant and a flat very short walk away, good pubs and lots of little shops, none of the big brands just little independent stores, we loved the toy shop.

We will definitely be returning to the site.

A centrally located site, easy access on main roads, although expect to be overtaken every minute or so, as Cotswold drivers are all in an incredible hurry.

When we visited the site it was busy and while we thought we had chosen a site well away from the road, road noise is still an issue (we had pitch 126). This was proved when an inevitable accident closed the road, and the silence was deafening.

Like other reviewers, we thought the toilet cleaning times were ridiculously early (10am, although there other block is open, and there is a loo you can use during the cleaning time).

As with all Caravan Club sites, everyone will say 'hello' but we didn't find this an 'over friendly' place. The wardens and their wives were always polite and helpful.

If you worry about the quality of the visiting chip/curry van - don't. It's exceptional and reasonably priced (Tues & Fri).

To sum up, great location and site, shame about the road noise.

This is a large well managed site with large well spaced pitches. The two toilet blocks are immaculate but the closest to us closed at 10am for cleaning!

THere is a large dog exercise area and lots of off site walking areas. The town is a ten minute walk away and has three supermarkets and several dog friendly pubs serving food, several offer caravan club discounts.

The local bus service covers a wide area, the tourist information has bus timetables. The railway station an the town has direct services to London.

Our main complaints at this site was the very loud intrusive road noise especially in the early morning and 2 particular wardens who were unfriendly and unhelpful, this is not typical on caravan club sites and was disappointing.
