We had a very pleasant three-night stay at this site. It seems pretty popular and is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds.
The toilet block was spotless and very warm - essential in January! The washing-up facilities are indoor and very handy for a large washing up session.
I note that some reviews mention road noise. We had a pitch towards the rear of the site and found it to be very quiet. The wild birds seem very tame and one or two pigeons were so plump (presumably from campers' titbits) that they could barely walk!
The town of Moreton in Marsh is within walking distance and ahs all mod cons including and excellent tea room (Tilly's), fish and chip shop and a branch of the ASK chain of restaurants. A Tesco Metro (or similar) and Co-op come in handy for supplies.
I recommend a visit to local beauty spot Dovers Hill. Amazing views.
There was a variety of games/playground which we did not investigate and dog walking facilities are good. We definitely plan a return visit to this site.

Just returned from a 7 night visit to this wonderful site. The toilets and showers are spotless, warm and spacious with fab on the wall hairdriers that actually work. The site is very well kept and all pitches are of a good size. We were lucky enough to stay on a quiet pitch at the back of the site but can understand what has been said in other reviews about the road noise on the pitches near the road.
The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful.
Located only a short walk from the town of Moreton in Marsh which has a Tesco express which has all you need.
We highly recommend this site to others and will definitely be returning ourselves.

Just returned from 6 nights at the site. On arrival only three pitches left all backing on to the road, road traffic noise was horrendous it starts very early in the morning till late. Stayed on that pitch for two nights then as site emptied moved pitches one further away from noice. Apart from the road noise was pleased with site, toilets and showers very clean. Overall a well maintained site close enough to the town to walk in for an evening drink.

This site had all the usual high quality facilities of Caravan Club Sites. Excellent toilet block and children's play area and nicely spaced pitches, mostly hard standing. The site is within very easy walking distance of Moreton in Marsh where you will find all the shops you need. Moreton in Marsh is an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds and we very much enjoyed our stay. The wardens are extremely helpful and the information room has an excellent range of information.
My one complaint about this site is that pitches at the front of the site run alongside the A44 which is a busy road both day and night. We were woken up several times every night by the noise of large HGVs revving past. The 40mph speed limit does not come into force until just past the site therefore the traffic is belting along the road at 60mph or faster as it passes the site.
I would definitely return to this site again however I would get there as early as possible so as to get a pitch along the back of the site, furthest from the road.

Greenacres Campsite - Coleford
Greenacres Campsite is right in the middle of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley and surrounded by castles and abbeys, the River Wye, Symonds Yat Rock, and miles of walking and biking. Electric, non electric, grass and hardstanding spacious and level pitches to accommodate tents, caravans, and motorhomes. Excellent playground and plenty of space for ball games and dog walking. Campfires allowed and wood supplies. Onsite cafe for tasty takeaways, a small shop, a laundrette and modern centrally heated facilities. Find out more here

Just had a week at this site and it was great.
The site is quite large and was very busy whilst we were there.
The pitches are mostly good sized hardstanding pitches that have just enough room for Caravan,Awning and car.
The 2 toilet blocks on site were absolutely superb and kept spotlessly clean during our stay (in fact they were the best facilities I have ever seen).
This site is in a great position for visiting all of the popular sites that the Cotswolds has to offer such as Broadway, Bourton on the Water and Burford to mention a few.
Market day in Moreton (5 mins walk) is on a Tuesday and the market is well worth a walk around (good fruit and veg for sale).
There are plenty of good shops situated in the village if you need groceries, There is also a Budgens supermarket and the end of the village and a large Tesco superstore in nearby Stow on the Wold.
One point to note is they say on the Caravan Club leaflet that television reception is poor but we plugged our lead into the connection at the post and we managed to get a great freeview reception.
We will definitely visit this site again.

Lovely, quiet site. Excellent, modern facilities. Spotlessly clean at all times of the day/night. Warden's friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere - other campers very neighbourly. Great kids play park and dog walk area. Five minute walk into Moreton which has plenty of shops, cafe's and bars and a choice of supermarkets. Don't miss the Tuesday market - some great bargains to be had! You'll also find another kids play park at the far end of the village (opposite Budgens). Lots of lovely villages to visit nearby don't miss Stow On The Wold or Great Tew. Loved this site and the area. We'll be back - soon!

Lovely site, fantastic facilities, wish I had a shower that powerful at home. Dog walk area great, with plenty of bins to put waste, all the staff were helpful and pleasant. The only critiscism is that the site is a bit higgeldy piggeldy, and if you make a wrong turning into a cul de sac looking for a pitch you want, then if you have a touring caravan it is a pig to turn round and go back and choose another road to go up. It would be better due to the layout for the staff to give you a pitch on arrival or be allocated one when you book. That way you know where you are going. Also the map isnt to scale so the roads and turnings on the map are smaller than the map suggests. Otherwise a great time had, and the dogs loved it. Will go again but will book the pitch we want first, if we can.

Just returned after a Bank Holiday weekend. Fantastic site, great attention to detail by the wardens, even down to a tab on the car park barrier swipecard giving details for local hospital, dentist, vets etc. Beautifully kept grounds and pitches.
Within walking distance of Budgens, Co-Op, Tesco Express and various shops and pubs. Local indian delivered to us on site although it wasn't anything to write home about.
Toilets etc. Beautifully clean, pitches were mainly hardstanding but somewhat tight, particularly when siting van and pulling off. Hot baguettes and croissants cooked on site every morning, newspapers could be ordered a day in advance. Recycling bins in car park, milk, bacon etc. On sale in reception.
We would definitely return. If you want a quieter area, keep to the left on site, some of the pitches to the right hand side run parallel to the road.
Couldn't fault the wardens or the site. My only gripe is people not only cutting through our pitch to get to the toilet block, but dragging aquarolls full of water over our electricity and aerial cables all weekend. This was because they used our pitch as a short cut to the water tap - if that were not enough, they literally ran the aquaroll over little sapling bushes outlining our pitch as they were too lazy to go the proper way. Three cheers for the wardens - I couldn't do their job!

One of the best sites in the area, the great thing about it is you can walk into the town in about 5 minutes.
The facilities are spotless and the wardens are always helpful and polite.
The dog park is a good size, you can see who's in there before you let them off the lead to let off steam in the large fenced off area.
The pitches are just big enough for twin axle, porch awning and car parked along front of caravan
This is a very quiet site if you just want to get away from it all and use your legs instead of the car.
We will go there twice a year now we have come accross this one.
