Enjoyed a great holiday. Excellent facilities. A field was good Richard and Irene made it better with there kindness and professional help. Very clean toilet blocks. Weather could have been better but never mind. I Will return. Excellent job. Thanks Wardens.

This is the third time we have been to Bashley in the last 3 months (weekends) We have two children 12-14 and its great knowing that you can let them just go off and enjoy themselves without having the parents tagging along. The entertainment is not bad apart from all the kids stuff is a bit to Young for our two but saying that its still fun to watch. If you don't like to cook while camping it can get a bit expensive eating in the restaurant as the portions are not big. Overall the site is very clean and tidy & the showers are hot all day. The swimming pools are very good, apart from the outside pool should stay open longer in the height of summer, the sauna & Turkish rooms are spot on ( spent a lot of time in them). Our only gripe is when the grass is cut, its not picked up & it ends up all in your camper, & the arcade room should have air conditioning! All in all very pleased with Bashley 9-10

Just come back from Easter break at this site. It wasn't the best of sites in my opinion. I had no real serious issues with it at all but it just didn't give me the inclination to return again. One tongue in cheek warning - the birds nesting in the trees around the edges are expert at dive bombing you with c**p so beware if you ask for a pitch around the edges. Main complex is clean and tidy - indoor pool is great for playing but not for swimmers. Food in the takeaway restaurant is best described as adequate for the money, bar is quite pricey. There is only a very small waiting area for caravans, while you book in at reception, that is also a car park so be prepared for some tight reversing and manoeuvring since there is only one way in and out. VERY LARGE outside play area includes football pitches, basket ball, golf, climbing frames etc are a BIG plus point to this site - well away from other caravans so not danger of dents in the van from flying frisbees. Couple of hints - approach the site from New Milton side NOT through Sway - the road from Sway to Bashley is single carriageway with some quite tight blind bends which can be a bit hairy when you meet a truck coming towards you (bitter experience...). If you want a nice meal in an old pub go to the Gun Inn at Key Haven - only 10 minutes drive away and you get some cracking views of the Needles on the way there.

We stayed at this site over new year and enjoyed the many facilities. Lots to do for the kids and adults including a great swimming pool ( free ) large bar, good play area and friendly staff. Toilets were clean and the site very tidy with pitches well spaced. Our 8 year old daughter loved to see the horses running about free. Unfortunatley we couldnt catch one so we had to make do with steak on the bbq, we would love to go back in the summer

June 2005 OK back for another visit not much has changed from last year really. Kids are now 10 and 4 so only the younger ran for sammy every night. Good news on the entertainment front is that Matt is now manager and program has reverted to bingo first then onto kids games, sammy and disco( much better for the kids). Pleased to note most staff remembered us and we are on 1st name terms with most. Entertainment team seem to be enjoying themselves a lot more this year and it was back to the old days of a film in the next room for children while show was on in the function room. Sadly the comunal bin remains and only bad points for us were the pool attentants were too busy being interested in themselves to keep area clean and we were not that impressed that half way through 2nd week we were refused entry to club as we had forgotten passes even though security were on 1st name terms (just meant a journey back to van for passes) however it is nice to know that your saftey is paramount.

June 2004 Great site!!! wardens in B field last year were really lovely. Yes you do have to be off by 10am, a bit annoying to say the least, but Hoburne offer a late stay for half the normal rate, as long as the pitch you are on isn't booked you can stay til 6pm (I think) so it's well worth paying for if you make use of the pool etc. we shall be going for a few week-end this season, I hope the same wardens are there!!!

April 2005 This was our first trip away in our caravan. the previous year we had been away in our tent. Going up in the world! We have two children aged 7 and 4. We all thoroughly enjoyed our break away. Fortunately we had gorgeous weather for April. The site is very clean and spacious. The hot water is VERY hot so be wary. The club is plenty big enough and the entertainment was good. A slight disappointment was the swimming pool changing area. The bottom of my jeans got soaking wet from the wet floor. The changing cubicles are small if you have to share with a young child who cannot change on their own and the water in the pool was very cold.
Overall the site is very good and I would fully recommend it to others. The hardstanding pitches are excellent. We are going back in May !

August 2004 We've just returned from our second visit here with our now 6 year old (see previous review) & our 15 year old daughter with friend.
When you return somewhere, you always expect it not to be as good as you remember it - not in this case. There's loads of chairs & sunbeds around the outside pool, an extension has been built on the side of the club house with two 10 pin bowling alleys & we discovered the table tennis, pool & snooker upstairs.
However, the 'new & improved' waste facilities may prove tricky for some (see previous reviewer) & the new warden is as efficient as the last - make sure you're ready to leave at 10am!!!!!!!
Will definately be going back next year.

August 2004 This is our 3rd time at Bashley, and the site is still all round good value for a "smaller" action site.
Touring pitches are good sized with pea-shingle base for caravan awnings and toilet/shower blocks that are always clean. Friendly staff.
Only complaint this year was the central waste disposal point instead of bins on 'A' field, the steps are slippery when wet and I imagine the elderly and disable would have some difficulty in using! One other slight moaning point as well, like another reviewer, entertainment crew has changed all apart from Matt (great entertainer for his age), Not impressed with Dave (who seems to have taken Chris's place from previous years) Bit of a "failed DJ" to me!? and seemed to "want" the kids part over and done with. (In my eyes anyway!?) Also, why move the bingo to after the kids see Sammy?? not really fair on them.
Won't put us off this park though, not many places you can stay with all the facilites as Bashley for just over £200pw in peak season!! Quite sure we will be returning next year if not later this one!

june 2004 3rd year running at this site and still as enjoyable as the others. If you are in field A be prepared for the new communal bin by the toilet block (all the old bin sites are now closed) this is ok but not practical if you happen to be disabled or are not able to manage the steps to dispose of your rubbish. The entertainment team have changed with only Mat remaining from last year and he was very well suported by "disco" Dave. We were very surprised when we found that they have an entertainment manager(ess) as to be honest the only participation for guests came from the named staff. If you have kids (ours are 9 and 3) Sammy is still the hero but be prepared as he now appears before bingo which is a shame as the kids are all hyped up and are then told to be quite which we didn't find very fair (along with all other parents). Site still brill, 99% of staff excellent and have already booked for next year. Still an enjoyable holiday but we found it a shame that the entertainment timetable has changed
