I would agree with a previous review that the access road is far too narrow for touring caravans. It would also be a great help to let you know that if you have pre booked a touring pitch that you can drive straight to it then check in at reception? Nowhere to park and lots of abuse when you try to swing your unit anywhere near reception is the result!
On a positive note, as this was our first time here, we had thought we had booked a fully serviced pitch. With a 90 year old mother in law with us, we were pretty much 99% we had!It turned out that we hadn't ? but the manager and site wardens bent over backwards to site us in a more convenient spot and also lent us an aquaroll & waste water container as we hadn't brought ours with us, thinking we were on a serviced pitch.
On the whole, we really enjoyed our stay here and will return. Very conveniently located for the coast and New Forest, New Milton great for shops etc. Dog walking fine, Shower and toilet block very clean, though shower run time very short.
Bar and shop convenient though over priced to some degree. I cannot comment on entertainment or quality of food as we didn't sample either.
I will also agree that people will insist on walking through your pitch to get to the toilets, pretty annoying at times. Especially for our jack Russell!
On the whole, a very nice site and location.
NOW we know you go to your pitch THEN check in it should be a much more pleasurable experience next time. It is a bit of a shame that the some of the static caravan holidaymakers seem to have such short tempers and use such bad language when you are trying to negotiate the reception challenge with a touring caravan and it holds them up in their car for a few minutes? Some people should chill out a bit? They are on holiday after all?
The area is an excellent place to visit and we will be back.

We have just come back from a fantastic week at bashley. The site is by far the best site we have visited in 10 years we have been camping/caravanning. Upon arrival a couple of very friendly wardens came and helped us onto our pitch which was lovely and although it would have been no problem to do it ourselves was very nice of them. Throughout the holiday they were always on hand and happy to help with anything. This is a site that has something for everyone and has a very friendly and safe feel.
Will definitely be returning soon. Also good to mention that the pitches are lovely and flat and very big

Just arrived back after a fantastic weekend away at Hoburne Bashley. I have to say that I was very impressed with the state of the site - it was immaculate. Upon arrival the very kind touring site manager directed me to my pitch, and seeing that it was just myself with two small children, came with me to help me pitch up in pretty heavy rain.
The toilet blocks were clean and functional and the on site shop was well stock and not too badly priced. This is a great place to bring kids as the entertainment team went out of their way to make sure they had a great time and mine lived Sammy the Seahorse and the rest of the crew.
The swimming pool was very clean and had some nice touches like shower cubicles so that we could all shower in a contained space without the fear of my youngest trying to make her way back to the pool!
Going back in the summer holidays and I'm looking forward to it already

We are campers through and through, however we static at bashley every November for the firework weekends. They have a massive bonfire and amazing fireworks on the 2nd and 3rd sat in November.
Pool is nice and clean. Shallow enough for 6 year old to negotiate and nice flume. Good entertainment and plenty of seating.
Been to look at touring pitches. They do not accept tents but caravan pitches are massive with great hedges that mark boundaries and give privacy.
Kids play park more than adequate and crazy golf good but extra.

Fantastic camp site. My family and I have been to many camp sites around the country but hobourne bashley definitely are favourite so far. Lovely sized pitches. Toilet block close and clean. Very good family swimming pools and entertainment for the children through the day. A circus a park crazy golf etc. Good Evening entertainment for all ages. Large supermarket very close by and a small village for shopping near by. The lovely new forest within 5 minutes drive.
Only bad points is the charge for dogs is expensive but no field to really walk them except through a dark path way at the back of the camp site so children couldn't take them without an adult present.
One other bad point is that the camp site price is very good for what you get except the bar is over expensive. As we've paid good money to be there it should be cheaper.
But overall lovely friendly place would recommend.

We have just returned from 16 nights here and like any site there are good points and some not so good points.
First the not so good points.
The road that you drive down to get to reception to check in with your caravan is only wide enough for one caravan so if you meet another car/caravan coming the other way then there is an issue. Also once you get to the reception area there is no allocated area to park your car/caravan while you are checking in so people were seen abandoning there cars/caravan on the roundabout to check in. During our time here we saw a family pull into the overflow car park towing there caravan and the car park was full of cars so the drivers reversing skills were put to the test!
Take some windbreaks with you to use as a fence at the back of your pitch as people quite happily walk through your pitch on there way to the toilets/showers.
The roads around the touring site are quite narrow so yet again if you meet another car/caravan while looking for your pitch you may need to check the site map for another route to your pitch, I feel a simple one way arrow system on the floor would rectify this issue.
Ok, now the good parts!
The site has something for everyone, there are two swimming pools and a children's paddle pool, golf course, tennis courts, large park for the children to play in, evening entertainment (not the best in the world and it seemed quite jumbled on some nights but the children liked it. ) kids clubs during the day and many other attractions. There are plenty of toilets, showers and sinks, there was never a issue with hot water and they were always clean and tidy.
The wardens on the site are really friendly, happy to answer questions if you don't want to go to reception and make sure that everyone on the site has an enjoyable time.
In conclusion we would definitely recommend this site to anyone, lots to offer at an acceptable price.

Come on guys, lovely site, great location but can only fault one thing - the shower blocks, these really could do with an upgrade and get rid of those awful push timers on the showers and also install controls that people can adjust the temperature of the water themselves. Apart from that, fantastic, especially if you have kids. Good, warm and welcoming staff, you will not be disappointed. Happy camping.

We visited here for the first time and we had booked it with some trepidation as we have steered clear of large sites in the past as we have found them to be too large and impersonal. Needless to say our reservations were unfounded. We had a great time here, the staff were all polite, friendly and very welcoming and happy to do whatever they could to help.
The pitches were roomy and relatively private with large hedges between them at the sides. As it was a hardstanding we were not able to put on the skirts (we have a folding camper) but this wasn't too much of a problem. The shower blocks were very clean and well maintained. We had read other reviews about the length of the shower only running for a few seconds on each push of the button. This varied from shower to shower, we found and it could have been better but was only a minor detail. The clubhouse was lovely - good to have a separate bar area for those of us without children - and the food was good too and good value for money. We didn't use the pool but it looked lovely and was very well-used. Entertainment was provided in the Forest Room during the evenings, which we also didn't take advantage of, but it was popular with the other visitors.
Security was good and a reassuring presence around the site with the security guards.
Lots of facilities here, including a golf course, archery, the pool, bar, shop and lots more. We would not hesitate to visit again. A beautiful location and a very well run, efficient site.

We have visited this site quite a few years ago when our children were little and we loved it, so when friends asked for suggestions for this summer we recommended this site so a large group of us booked and again we were delighted. The pitches are spacious, the toilets are spotless and luckily the weather was scorching! We even won 3 times on the bingo! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Don't forget to visit Mudeford Quay for a day of crabbing and Splashdown at Poole is a great day out for the kids. Lots of places and beaches to visit just be prepared to drive as they are not all on the doorstep, saying that we even went to Weymouth for the day and it only took 1 hour 10 mins so well worth the journey.

Bad bits first.
Upon arrival on this site at 11am, there was open top tour bus going the opposite way, the bus driver didn't want to move so I had to reverse the caravan back down the road a bit and then one of the wardens let me on the touring field early, seems strange to let buses on a road that caravans use and not widen the road for better access, there also seemed to be a lot of tour buses using this site for pickup/drop-off.
Toilet block is in the centre of the touring field but there seems to be no direct access to it without cutting through other peoples pitches or vacant pitches, so people put up wind breaks and it becomes a maze to find a way through.
Bar prices are a bit steep, £3. 70 a pint.
Now the good stuff.
The pitches are massive and private with hedges separating your neighbours, the wardens are friendly and although the rules are that you cant get on before 12 and you have to leave before 10am, we arrived at 11am and left at 11am so get friendly with the touring warden. (Note if you have guests at your pitch, they cannot park their car there unless you have pre booked a 2 car pitch)
The toilet and shower blocks are in good condition and cleaned regularly. Easy access to the chemical disposal and washing up areas and plenty of waste disposal facilities.
The staff are friendly and the facilities are very good at the main complex including sauna, steam room and detox room at the swimming pool. The on site Nisa shop is well stocked although a bit pricey but there is good shopping locally with Morrisons and Lidl in New Milton.
Lots to do in and around the New Forest, don't forget to visit the Maserati dealer in Lyndhurst for a bit of drooling and dreaming.
Tuesdays they put on a free Circus for people with passes, it was very good and great for the kids.
This site is Dog friendly, plenty of woodland walks around the site.
Will I be going back, definitely
