Quite a large site with a mixture of static caravans and tourers, well laid out clean and tidy pitches, we stayed on a premier pitch with ample room for 26 foot caravan, awning + car and still space for a table and chairs outside.
Indoor pool was loved by my children but they complained that the outdoor one was a bit cold (could have been they preferred the slide indoors!) There is also crazy golf, a play area, a small arcade, tennis and huge field for outdoor games to keep the kids entertained.
The area around the site is fantastic, wonderful walking and cycling in the New Forest and the children loved the donkeys and ponies.
Didn't go to the beach (but it looked very nice) as when we went to Boscombe & Bournemouth there was masses of traffic and no parking spaces left despite going round and round and all the way up the small road at Boscombe beach - this was at 11.30 so if you want a day on the beach go very early.
Wardens are friendly and work hard to keep site clean & tidy.
Overall an excellent site.

This site is an absolute dream. I've visited it countless times, it is less than an hour's drive from my home.
The site is immaculate. The pools are superb and there are also tennis courts, a driving range and a 9 hole course.
The clubhouse is spot on. My only criticism is it can be difficult to get a table in high season in the main bar. Entertainment is nearly always to a high standard, and the kids are well looked after.
I'd recommend anyone to visit this site.

We spent the Easter bank holiday here and absolutely loved it. Cost was on the more expensive side at over £30 per night but the facilities are great and the location can't be beaten.
Bad weather for 2 days meant we made use of the indoor pool, bowling, kids club etc so never bored. The outdoor play area and crazy golf is great for the kids.
As an adult I wasn't that impressed with the children's entertainment but our little boy (3 1/2) absolutely loved Sammy Seahorse and talks about him constantly.
We will definitely be going back!
Had a lovely spacious pitch in the corner overlooking the woods so felt like we had no neighbours.
Pool is one of the cleanest we have been to, only used the toilets once in the shower block but all seemed clean and presentable.
Didn't eat on site but there is plenty around in Christchurch. Had a meal at the House Martin which is a great pub with great food in New Milton I think.
Location is great for exploring the forest or getting to the beach.
All in all could not fault anything.

We spent Easter week here.
The surrounding area is a fantastic place to visit, you have the new forest on your doorstep, a fantastic place for walks as well as lots of sea side resorts.
However we did not overly enjoy the site. The pitch we were allocated (Which we paid top whack for as we had a fully serviced pitch) was right next to a toilet block, every time someone went in said toilet block the door made a loud bang which kept waking us up during the night.
People also kept cutting though our pitch to go to the toilet block, this sounds petty, but why can't people stick to the paths!
I guess a lot of people go to this site for the evening shows & the swimming pool etc. But this isn't really our cup of tea.
Probably our own fault for booking the wrong type of place for us & would suit anyone who's into these things as the site is generally well run & kept clean & tidy - but rather expensive.
I do have one major concern though - when you arrive in your caravan at reception, there's nowhere to park with a caravan. I waited in the car while the wife went to check us in, as I had to park across a few parked cars. One of these wanted to leave before she came back so I had to move to another position where I was half blocking an entrance road. I got lots of dirt looks from others who had to squeeze past me while I waited. Not good planning.

Just want to reassure Cathy 6973 that Hoburne Bashley will be as fantastic this year as last. We know 2 of the new entertainment team - George (female) and Rusty! We spent nearly 4 weeks at Hoburne Cotswolds during the summer and the last week of the season. We were present on the last night of the season when all the team were splitting up and it was very emotional! George is a real trooper and true professional - just hope she sings Leona - Run' for you all - it is fantastic! Ask Rusty to do the 'Russell Hustle'!
We are visiting Torbay at Easter, Bashley in summer and back to Cotswolds at Halloween - my kids wont go anywhere else now! Enjoy

Just attended a rally at this site, our first visit, 3 rallies taking place so quite busy, yet more of the site being taken over by static caravans. Pool open, crazy golf shut - new Astro turf being fitted. 108 meals served in half an hour on Saturday night and ALL piping hot! A very nice place out of season. Well stocked site shop. Would use again, but will not visit in peak season as I think it will be very crowded!

Fantastic site in a great location. Large, level pitches (premium pitches separated by hedgerow for added privacy). Loads of facilities including indoor/outdoor swimming pools, large shop, games room, etc. Sainsburys only 5 miles from site as were Christchurch which is a lovely Dorset town. Good, clean showers & toilet facilities. Can`t rate entertainment as we never went to club. Very good pub in Sway (short drive from site) although can`t recall name! Avoid The Rising Sun as service was awful and dogs were allowed to sit inches from diners, not a very pleasant experience! But all in all, a great site which features just about everything a family would be looking for and location is an added bonus!

Our 3rd visit this year, but alas it was not all rosy. Yes this was not the best time of year to go, but we wanted to get away for the new year. However, Bashley is in the new forest and when it rains, it gets very wet.
The pitches easily flood, although this is something on their remedy list of things to do, but advise anyone with awnings to be careful if the heavens continue to open as the gravel pitches collect the water.
Shower blocks were kept clean. Reception staff were not the most helpful, but were busy so maybe again, short staffed as it was new year.
Apart from that a good place to visit but gets silly priced now in school hols

We were so impressed with this site during the summer that we booked to go back again for October half term! We took our rather old and tired touring caravan back to Bashley, and yet again had a smashing week away.
Just a point if you plan to use this site later in the year, avoid the pitches round the edge, as these all have trees over hanging them. The caravans and awnings were absolutely covered in leaves and tree debris.
On a happier note, we were fortunate enough to be present when Matt (Entertainments Manager) proposed to his girlfriend during Cabaret - a fantastic night and well done to Kristie for keeping it together!
They tried a new bingo while we were there, where the children were able to play alongside the adults for Sammy Seahorse prizes, and they wanted feed back as to how we felt it worked - well, it was a HUGE success with our family! It was lovely for us all to play together, and I really hope you keep it up next year. My daughter even won the main prize on the first game and is now the proud owner of a Sammy Seahorse Rucksack!
We also wanted to pass on our thanks to all the security and entertainment staff who were working on the night of Friday 30 October 2009, and the fellow holiday makers who helped us out. Our 3 year old son decided to go missing, and the Bashley team were amazing! All the security team were out looking for him with us, the entertainment team were making announcements etc, and fortunately he was eventually found. Thank you to everyone who helped that night.
Already planning a return visit next year. It will be interesting to see how the Entertainment staff work out, as only Kristie is remaining from the ones that were there this year.

Seems that Bashley has got a reputation and is not going to fall short. Despite it being last holiday week of the season, they still managed to keep up the great service. The toilet blocks still high standards, and despite the damp weather that greeted us, everyone was in high spirits. We were located on Beech site this time, and although its a little tighter for space, we still didn't want for anyhing more, nice flats pitches, and little privit bushes beside, not that we needed it as the van next to us was owned by the parents!
Have to say we have not come across another site that can offer us as a family any more. We have already booked for the New years here, and our only dilemma is how many holidays to book for next year! Some of the entertainers are going to the Cotswold's, so wife would like to try that, and with the reviews from that site I can't see it being anything other than superb.
Book now while you can is the only advice I can offer!
