April & August 2003 We visited Bashley for the first time last Easter and realy enjoyed ourselves, Shower Blocks and wc very clean. We had a caravan last year but have just brought ourselves a Folding Camper which you can use at Bashley although they will not take Trailer tents, as long as you can see the wheels they say. Going again this easter.

October 2003 we just visited the site with our motorhome and the facilities were very good. On Sunday morning at 10.30hrs I had a visit from the warden that we all had to move out as quickly as possible as we were already a half hour late otherwise we would be charged for another day. !!!!!!!! The field we were in had maybe 200 spaces and maybe 30 were taken and nobody to check in. A little over the top I would say and according to other people, this is the only site where you are kicked off outside the season. ( I totally agree if it is within the season.)

July 2003 Have just returned from a week here with our five year old.
Pitches are hard standing, with plenty of space between caravans separated by small hedging. Take care not to drive on the grass though, as the Warden is very hot on this!!! (nice bloke though)
All the facilities were clean & very practical, but beware of the very hot water. Excellent for cleaning the Cadac. Discovered that the temperature did vary between shower cubicles though, & found the best ones for us.
The park was not totally full, & proved very safe for the little one to cycle around. There are no ball games allowed, but there is a large play area nearby.
The swimming facilities were great, & FREE. The two outdoor pools have a large terrace area, but chairs & sunbeds were few. The indoor pool also has a flume (which we were allowed to ride with the little one) & has a good sized seating area.
Although we didn't stay in the club late enough to watch the evening entertainment, we were dragged there every early evening for he children's games & entertainment. The games & dancing definately went down well. If ever you've been to Haven or Pontins, you'll find it relieving that the entertainers aren't continually trying to sell merchandise to the kids.
All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our time at this park & are looking forward to going back.

Oct 2002 having visited this park many times we find it great for the kids, they can normally be entertained day and night with the facilities there. great adventure playground and 9 hole golf course and a huge childrens playing field for ball games and cycle hire, indoor and outdoor pools and the toilet/shower facilities were great with free hot showers and hairdryers and spotlessy clean. the pitches were very spacious with shingle for the awning and hard standing for the caravans great during the torrential rain we had for 3 days. one moan we had would be the heat in the indoor pool, the water was freezing but you couldnt breathe with the humidity not pleasant if you were sitting by the pool to watch the children and the second moan has to be lack of evening entertainment when its advertising all year round fun to find because it wasnt half term down there they didnt bother having anything for the kids in the evening, having said that weve been in season and the entertainment has really gone down hill over the last 4 years. we do look for the all action parks for the childrens entertainment but it really annoys us when these sites wont let children takes drinks into the club with them because they want to rip you off and charge 70p for a can of drink or 80p for half a pint of lemonade or even worse 40p for a very small cup of orange squash it encourages people to bring their own, they also have a restaurant there that is expensive so its a thumbs up and down for Bashley cant win em all all I would say is if your going and want the entertainment check before you book if they have a programme and Tescos 2 mins down the road is very handy if you dont fancy cooking and alot cheaper. after my moan why do we go back there well its a very good base for venturing round the new forest and bournemouth and the local area

September 2002 We visited Bashley Park in sept for a 4 day break. The pitches were very large and clearly marked The indoor pool and especially the out door pool were exellent, the club and facilities etc were very good for children of all ages there was a golf course, boules, football field, tennis, everything a family could possibly want. the toilets and showers were very modern and exceptionally clean.for people with dogs there was a nice little wood around the park to exercise in.The park is on the outskirts of the new forest and close to the beaches of Bournemouth about 10 mins in car.We thought this was a very good site and well worth the visit.
