This was our first visit to this site. We stayed from Friday until Monday and had a very pleasant stay.
We didn't actually go to the site pub on Friday or Saturday because my kids (aged 10 and 14)
Spent all evening at the play area making friends with the other kids there, many of these kids stay here regularly. They were all very well behaved kids. We went to the site pub on Sunday night, there was plenty of entertainment for the kids and the drinks were reasonably priced. It is only a 15 minute walk to Whitby Abbey and saves the hassle of trying to park in Whitby town.
The ground was a little uneven but I asked for some wooden blocks, which was no problem. The toilets and showers were very good and look like they have been recently re-furbished.
I would stay at this site again, the only down side for me was the price, it was a little too pricey.

This is a very nice site although you pay for it (£30.00) per night, with sea view, we were parked right on cliff edge looking down on a small beach that can be accessed down a winding path with some steps, the path has gone into some disrepair and there is a sign at top warning this, its a 20 minute walk along cliff top to whitby (abbey) and then 200 steps down into whitby. Cant really fault the site except the price, overall though the location was worth it

Great site for families with kids as has a club that has family entertainment, and a nice playground. Has a cafe / takeaway where we had a reasonably priced full english breakfast that was very welcome after a night sampling Whitby s finest ales! Nice and close to Whitby centre about 10-15min walk to Abbey (don't try it in dark or after said Ales as it's along a cliff top). Very clean showers with plenty of free hot water, and helpful staff Would recommend to friends and will definitely go again.

Went with my 2 grandson's, we wanted to stay for 2 nights on arrival we had fog and light rain but that did not stop us. The campsite was quite empty so had no problem finding a spot. We really enjoyed our short holiday. The owners are so friendly and soon the site got full even in rain. Everything was spotless clean and the grass good trimmed.
I have been going there for many years and had very nice day's there.

This place was cracking. The walk to Whitby was ace (25min). The weather was great (25`c). The shop sells everything you`ll forget and isn't badly priced. There's a cafe / take away shop we didn't try but did a roaring trade and the bar / club was your standard sort of family entertainment (which wasn't a bad thing at all) and everything was very clean. The one down side was we weren't told about the path down to the beach (looked gorgeous). We spotted it purely by chance as we were driving out the barrier to come home (it's on the right hand side as you enter the site, near the barrier.) Would I go again? If I could guarantee the weather yes, as it's on a cliff top, wouldn't want to be there when it's too windy.

We visited this site for the Gothic Weekend, as we wanted to be close to Whitby
After reading the reviews, I was quite nervous - but went for the proximity to town
I have to say that I was very impressed with the site - think it's excellent
We found the showers and toilets very clean and well kept
I wouldn't recommending using an awning - it was always windy
The pub & cafe on site were great - the food in the cafe was of very high quality
We found the pitch itself to be good and easy to level our caravan
The staff in the office of the site were very polite and helpful too
I'd recommend it and will go back soon

Just got back from a 2 night stay here I read all the other reviews and wasn't sure what we would find but here are my comments
Fantastic location bar none would have appreciated knowing we could have had a sea view pitch when we checked in at only a pound or so extra that would have made the stay perfect
We were right next to the chem disposal and water so had no issue with the distance to facilities however this is a sprawling site and we did see some coming in cars with aqua rolls and such idle sods lol
The showers are superb warm well equipped and lots of them by far the best showers I've seen so far having said that we have a large end wash room so never used them but I checked them out and was impressed site was quiet at night despite on site club shop was very friendly did not try out takeaway but lots did and it looked very popular the walk over the cliffs to whitby was stunning we even managed it with a push chair just the first bit needed hubby to lift chair up steps rest was a doddle
One downside and that's the price we booked for £14 something per night it would have been £16.60 for the sea view (still miffed we weren't offered that) but next week bank holiday may it jumps to over £30! which puts it out of my price range

Just got back from the Easter weekend at Whitby. This is quite a good site. Clean and well kept. Only one shower/toilet block but this seemed adequate for the demand reasonably priced bar, takeaway and shop (compared to some on site rip offs) Most pitches sloping (though ours wasn't) but you expect this from a clifftop site. The layout of the newly decorated clubhouse was well thought out with kids room (disco, bingo ect) separated from the smaller adults only bar with glass windows The walk on the coast path to Whitby is a good 30 minutes and the return walk isn't for the faint hearted (the abbey steps) The staff seemed friendly and helpful enough. I expected a lot worse from some of the reviews that I have read so all in all a pleasant surprise. Could only find one bad point though Elsan toilet disposal separated from drinking water points by just a low wall? doesn't seem right to me

I always visit Whitby holiday park at least 4 times a year as it has to be one of my favourite. It does have grass pitches that after heavy rain get water logged but so do most places, that's what camping is about! Everyone on the site is always friendly and the clubhouse is the perfect size for a small campsite. The games room is perfect for kids and the campsite also has a park for the kids to play through the day. The best feature this campsite has is that it is only a 10 min walk along the cliff into the wonderful town. The campsite also does have a beach onsite but don't own it anylonger so access down is starting to get harder each year. But this campsite is camping at its best in my opinion. The campsite has a wonderful shower / toilet block which has only just been re-decorated and is cleaned everyday. For views Whitby Holiday Park is really good as you can look out over the cliff and see the sea, or you can look into the moors and whitby abbey stands proud. This campsite deserves a rating of 10/10.

We were convinced to go back here by our friends who said it was not that bad !
I am sorry too say but we really wished we had not listened to them. This site really needs some new management. The pitches are so unlevel its untrue, the water points are too far from your pitches as are the waste points. The bar staff were rude and not friendly to us. Only good points are the views are great and a good shower block. As with many sites the owners get too greedy and make the sites too commercial. This place could be a great site. For us there are plenty of other sites around this area that are value for money and more relaxing, after all that's what we all go away for to relax and not get wound up because everything is such an effort. Overall would never return until the site is sorted.
