I loved the camp site, the views were amazing.
The receptionist was also lovely when booking, finding us a flat plot for our camper van.
We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful site for which we'd booked 2 nights, but we liked it so much that we stayed for 2 extra nights.
It is quite large, on a grassy clifftop with beautiful views of the sea and in the other direction the North York Moors.
There is also a lovely view of the ruined Whitby Abbey, an easy 20-minute walk along the cliff path. It is said that you can see both sunrise and sunset from the site, but we didn't check that.
It was good that it was open in March (many aren't) although there was still some improvement work going on, so the shop and cafe weren't open during our visit. But the toilet blocks and comfortable indoor dishwashing area were kept spotlessly clean, tidy and warm.
The well staffed reception desk was always helpful and friendly. The site electricity and free wifi were constant and reliable. Grey water disposal was into a drain laid in a roadside run-off by the exit from the site.
The drain went right across the road, so no need to manoeuvre one way or the other to match up drain with the motorhome's outlet, a demonstration that the site owners had carefully thought through what visitors would want.
The England coast path in fact goes directly through the site and one day we walked the 6 miles along it to pretty Robin Hood's Bay, and got the reliable bus back.
On the walk we saw lots of emerging spring coastal flowers, as well as interesting birds including choughs, redshanks, lapwings and skylarks. Whitby itself, reached by taking '199 steps' down from the Abbey ruins, is well worth a couple of days' exploring.

PLeasant location with clifftop views.
Clifftop walk into Whitby and also access to Saltwick Bay via steep path - both very enjoyable.
Site facilities very good though not all available due to renovation work.

Really enjoyed staying here, campsite, staff and facilities good but shower cubicles a bit small in men's and also a Female cleans out the male facilities and a male the female facilities, my wife went in and a man was about to clean the facilities I would of thought a man for a man's and a lady for the ladies
Other than that I'd definitely go back again 👍🏴 could of done with bar open every night also

The staff were very helpful throughout the booking. On arrival we were greeted with politeness and friendly receptionist. She gave us clear instructions where we needed to be and where all the facilities were.
Our bay was only a short walk to the cliff top where there was a beautiful view.
Though showering and toilets were easily available I cannot comment as I did not use them but I heard no complaints from any of the fellow campers who were using them.
Very relaxing long weekend had.
Would recommend 5*

What a great family friendly site.
Great facilities and really friendly staff. Children's play area was very safe and well equipped.
The site has access to a lovely cliff top walk into Whitby and on the other side a walk down to a beautiful beach cove. Look out for fossils!
Would highly recommend.
