Just returned from a windy Whitby, great site which is set on the top of the cliffs over looking Saltwick bay stunning views but windy so storm straps need.
The pitches are small in places and a bit cramped the nearer the front you are, toilets where modern and clean though at certain times the water wasn't the hottest.
The shop had the basics, the club house was good with something for everyone, cash bingo was worth a go as it got to £200 plus at weekends.
Overall a great site but hate the drive from Manchester.

Stayed here for 4 nights in June.
Good points: Brilliant location – lovely views and only a 20-minute walk into Whitby town centre. Nice toilet and shower facilities.
Bad points: The pitches! Although the pitch sizes are ok, the pitch rows are far too close together (this wasn’t a problem for us at the time, as the site was very quiet, but I imagine it must be a nightmare to manoeuvre on/off your pitch when it’s busy, and the site would be far too cramped and claustrophobic for us during busy periods).
Also, the pitches are all grass and very uneven – we had heavy rain for two days, and the drainage was so bad that we had mud oozing through our awning ground sheet – we had to lay down some bin liners as a walk-way and suspend items off the ground. We have vowed never to stay on a grass pitch again after this experience!
Didn’t use café, shop or bar (dogs not permitted in bar, and we had our spaniel with us), so can’t comment on them.

Excellent site.
Well stocked on site shop, launderette, cafe and bar.
Immaculate facilities, very friendly staff.
Worth paying the extra for a sea view pitch, with unobstructed views out to sea, and fabulous sunsets (yes, this is the east coast).
Access from the site down to Saltwick Bay, only suitable for the able bodied though, we found it difficult with our old dog.
Lovely cliff top walk to Whitby Abbey, the old cobbled Donkey Road into the town is extremely steep, again we struggled with our dog, alternative routes via steps are available.
Local fish and chip shop and curry take away will deliver to the site for free.

Excellent site ruined by gale force winds for 3 of our nights stay (not sites fault I know),
Had pitch 86 great view over sea, 1st night we arrived field was soaking wet & we got stuck, chap on a tractor pulled us out of trouble, nothing too much trouble for staff,
Showers were clean but more often than not I found them to be lukewarm,
Another slight snag was not being able to get a satellite signal for some reason
Another bonus was the pie shop in Whitby.
Free wi fi on site is an added bonus,
Yes we would return & would recommend to friends.

Great park and location. Fantastic views all the touring area on the cliff edge over looking the sea. On arrival at whitby bay holiday park booked in straight forward and allowed on our pitch straight away.
There is a family bar on site with a small amusement arcade, a shop selling basic things a cafe/take away when ordered you where allowed to eat your food in the bar, a launderette and toilet and shower block which you had to leave a £10 deposit which was returned back on the day of departure.
Whitby is a nice 20 minutes stroll along the cliff banking (not suitable for people with walking difficulties) as there is 199 steps to go down if walking in to the town or 199 if walking back overall I will be returning again sometime.

Stayed here over Easter, poor weather but what can you expect at Easter? It didn't matter anyway.
What a site. the showers were spotless, although a bit cool for my liking (but I do use them at 7.30 am). A decent enough shop (good large fresh eggs) for newspapers and sundries
Friendly reception staff and wardens. A nice little cafe/takeaway
A well thought out club with a biggish adult only bar but with glass partition so that you can see what's going on if you wish.
A small play area for the kids.
Whitby is about 30 min easy walk along the clifftop path and then down the abbey steps (not so easy coming back)
We had a pitch 5 metres from the cliff edge with marvellous views (there is a fence)
One drawback, some of the pitches are quite sloping, ok for caravans but motorhomes may need a bit more than the usual wedges
A good little all round site in a great location

Just returned from a 3 night stay couldn't believe the weather for March. What a wonderful site, all fresh for the new season, toilets and showers immaculate, staff very friendly, and views to die for. 15 mins walk into Whitby. Bit pricey in high season but with weather like this why bother
Decent shop on site, fresh water points, a bit spaced out but that's what aqua rolls are about. Didn't use the bar, doesnt look our cup of tea. The sunsets and sunrises are wonderful, not many places you can see both in same day. Would we return? Definitely.

Lovely views, clean facilities but no motorhome facilities, ie water access difficult, no fitting for hose and no easy drive in near tap. Grey water disposal was impossible as again no drive over for this. It was great to be able to walk in to Whitby.
Had to leave by 10am day of departure mid week in March! Why is this? Also allocated pitches were far from level and levellers were not big enough.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but motorhome facilities and more level pitches to be allocated - they were available but empty - would be much appreciated.

Excellent site with stunning views over the cliffs with its own private secluded beach, 20 min walk to Whitby along the cliff tops which is a very picturesque town with plenty of shops and pubs and fish and chips, there's also a very large co-op within the town.
The site has free wi-fi and excellent facilities, plenty of showers and toilets which look brand new, there's also a mini market and cafe on site and even a pub.
The pitches range from level to quite slopey and so I would book in advance if you don't have chocks to get a level pitch (didn't bother me)
Theres also pitches overlooking the beach and saltwick nab for a small premium, they upgraded me for free and loved falling asleep to the sound of waves breaking every night.
If you go to their website they have a full price list as it can get a bit expensive in the summer months but they do discounts for full weeks and 3 day weekends. I paid £99 for a week but this was per pitch.
Must also mention the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for a week. The pitch was tiny and not very well marked on the floor. The whole campsite grounds looked very rough and unkempt.
The staff were very helpful and the toilets and showers were excellent.
The view from our caravan was amazing, really lovely from morning until night.
The location of the site to Whitby was great. A lovely walk into Whitby with great views.
We didn't visit the pub on site or the cafe. The shop was very well stocked.
We would rebook.
